Mews Terminal S1 - Stripe Payment

Dear Community 👋🏼Has anyone have the same issue like I currently facing?.We have recently added Stripe as new payment provider and integrated the mews S1 terminal as the payment device, which is starting next month we will completly using stipe to replace the Adyen.Taking payment directly from the terminal with card or contactless is no issue, as well online pament when we have enterd the credit card details in mews manually.However, the credit card which captured in mews from the terminal payment, can not be re-preauthorize nor re-charge. Anyone aware what the issue here?.So far what I understood correctly, that the payment using S1 Teriminal will captured and tokanized the card details, which we can reuse it.I have wrote mews to change the Stripe as our default payment, however still no response from them over 24hrs. Do you guys think, due this default check in the integration has not been done and we have this isue?. Best regardsRingga

Integration Mews & Duetto

Liebe Community,seit fast einem Jahr arbeiten wir nun sowohl mit MEWS, als auch dem RMS Duetto. Gibt es hier jemanden, der die gleiche Problematik in Bezug auf Zu- und Abschläge von Zimmerkategorien teilt? Weder MEWS, noch Duetto unterstützt Personenzu- oder Abschläge, z.B. ein DZ/EZ, Triple oder Vierbett. Hier musste ich ein Add On auf der Homepage erstellen. Mews terminal receipts

We want to configure the printing options of our Mews Terminal, so it only prints the customers receipt. A couple of weeks ago our management decided it was not necesary printing the merchant’s receipt anymorte and we always get up having a copy at the end. Is there a way we can customize that? thanks in advance.

Adding automatic notes

Hi, we are adding all are notes manually and we want to automate this process. It would be great if we could add notes to a rate code so we are sure all neccessary information for this guest (corporate, special perks, colleagues) is automatically added. This way Front Office knows what guests are coming and what information they need to know up front. Can this become a feature?

Secret Escapes - Routing und Abrechnung

Moin zusammen,  wir versuchen derzeitig unser Secret Escapes handling zu optimieren und stoßen da an einige limitierungen seitens Mews. Mich würde interessieren, wie ihr im moment Secret Escpaes handhabt, da ja die Gäste einen Anspruch auf die Rechnung haben.  Unsere Idee ist es, auf der Gastrechnung lediglich die folgenden Produkte stehen zu lassen: Übernachtung Frühstück City TaxAlle anderen Produkte sollen an sich weitere geroutet werden auf ein PM (was nicht geht). Daher würde nun das Firmenprofil lediglich in Frage kommen.Anschließend müssen bei uns drei Zahlungen getätigt werden: 2 x Ghost Payment (Positiver Betrag und der gleiche Negativ Betrag zum Ausgleich) (1 auf dem Gastprofil und eins auf dem Firmenprofil) 1 x VCC Belastung (auf dem Firmenprofil)Der Gast erhält dann im Anschlus eine Rechnung mit dem Ghost Payment von uns. Allerdings lassen sich derzeitig keine Kartenzahlungen auf dem Firmenprofil realisieren.  Wie handhabt ihr das ganze so?  Liebe Grüße Hendrik

Assign Spaces by clicking enter not mouse

Hey Everyone,I’m experiencing an issue with the Mews application when assigning spaces. When I try to assign rooms, I’m unable to add a space and press Enter. When I press Enter, it deletes the recently added space and overwrites the previous space.To add multiple spaces, I now have to use the mouse and select them manually. Previously, I could add a space, press Enter, and then add the next space with another Enter. This functionality no longer works.Can you please help me restore this feature?Thank you!

Rate & product handling: Controlling prices in MEWS

Rate handling is one of the fundamental systems in MEWS and a logic that runs through many systems. In my opinion, MEWS implements this quite well with variable pricing, rate restrictions and products including product rules. The technical support of rates in third-party systems is also quite good, as it is a widely used logic.Since we have been with MEWS for a few months now and have completed the first turn of the year, I have a few points to mention on this topic: The way in which MEWS regulates special occupancy (single person and additional people) in rates is not particularly flexible (why are only absolute value adjustments possible and not relative ones). I therefore assume that many people use rates or products for these scenarios to be more flexible.It would be extremely helpful if you could create rate restrictions and product rules based on the number of people in a room.   Yielding is a fantastic logic, but unfortunately you can only adjust the base price (which is often e

Testing within operational environment

Good afternoon Mews addicts :)I have another question that came to mind. What is the workflow for enabling testing within the operational environment? Certain things are not possible in the demo environment without invoicing the rooms each time. Travel agencies / commission

Good morning y’all!I was wondering if it’s possible, when setting up a travel agency, to calculate the commission only on amounts excluding VAT and solely on the room prices. Afterward, I want to be able to see the commission amount on the invoice. The issue is that I’m not sure how to approach this. 2 Night MLOS, with Auto-Release?

So, this should be fairly straightforward however does not seem to be playing ball with me and its now becoming quite annoying. What I need to set is a 2-night minimum length of stay for a Saturday, that effectively ‘lifts’ on Thursday to allow one night stays. It is currently set as this:which according to help articles etc says that this will apply a minimum 2 night restriction if the guest is booking more than 3 days in advance, but not apply restriction if less than 3 days in advance? Am I misunderstanding? as all that happens with this is it stops anyone booking any stay that is includes a Saturday no matter how long in advance they book and closes channel managers for Saturdays entirely. If i switch this round and do Minimum 3 days advance then it works as MLOS for Saturdays on channel managers but then doesnt allow saturdays to book one night on the day?

Why can't I schedule this report export schedule?

Mews is not allowing me to schedule this export- it resets the configuration and asks for an interval. Is it the size of the export? Mews doesn’t provide any report that shows market segmentation, by day, so the only way for us to create a segment level report is using the reservation level details.

Edition de facture avec consommations au bar masquées

Bonjour, j’ai vu que pour imprimer les factures au moment du check out  nous avons 3 types de choix/options possiblethe default Detailed overview, and additionally Overview by date, Overview by reservation,par contre aucune de ces options ne permet de masquer le détail des consommations au bar que le client aurait pu avoir. Par exemple une note pour notre restaurant :RESTAURANT (point de vente):cocktail champagne 18€ Menu du marché 35€ 2 verres de vin 24€Comment faire pour regrouper en 1 ligne les consommations de notre point de vente restaurant avec un global de 77€? je sais que la TVA sera ventilée à 20% pour les alcools mais les clients demandent souvent 1 seul ligne globale.Merci pour votre aide.

Ist es möglich, bereits ausgestellte Debitor Rechnungen komplett zu stornieren? Es handelt sich um uneinbringliche Forderungen (Firmen sind insolvent), eine Zahlung wird nicht mehr stattfinden. Buchhalterisch sind die Forderungen aus dem Umsatz genommen, aber wie korrigiert/storniert man die weiter existierenden Debitor Rechnungen dazu? Besten Dank!

How to check for past guests in a specific room?

Hi I tried searching for similar questions, but couldn’t find anything. The team here got curious about how we can check for past guests in specific rooms. We were wondering e.g. who was in room 202 yesterday, in the case that their reservation was moved to another room or cancelled. I suppose that is shown on the guest’s action log, but the rooms don’t seem to have a similar action log where that is accessible. There is a ‘Recent space changes’ option, but that doesn’t show past guests. In our case, we don’t know who was the guest that was in 202 - that’s what we’re trying to find out. Any suggestions? How to offer a 2nd day diner?

Hey all!We want to make a 3 days/2 nights packagedeal for our guest. Including a diner on the first day and the option for a diner on the second day.Question:How do i set things up so guest get the offer to book the second diner during the online check-in and things are correctly on the productlist? Its just a temporarly thing, so a workaround with a plug-in, isnt a option. Setting things up like a late check out gives the product on the list for the 2nd day and the day of depature.  Any good tips? Thanks in advance!

Breakfast value on invoice

Hi all.I hope you're doing well.I have a question that I hope you can assist me with.Currently, all of our rates across all properties include breakfast. However, the issue is that the breakfast product does not appear on the bills/invoices. While the breakfast is included at no additional cost (listed as 0 DKK), it does have a value of 119 DKK (incl. tax) if purchased separately—such as when a guest invites a non-staying person to join them for breakfast.Our corporate clients have been reaching out to request that the breakfast product, along with its value and tax breakdown, is visible on their invoices for accounting purposes.Is there a way to display the breakfast item on the invoices, showing its value of 119 DKK (incl. tax), without impacting the total price of the stay?I hope this makes sense, and I look forward to hearing your suggestions.Regards

Due date on sent invoices

Good afternoon,I am currently seeking clarification on how to display the invoice due date on an invoice. I have not been able to locate a relevant article in the Mews Help documentation.From my understanding, there are two settings that determine the due date:The financial settings, which I believe serve as a general default for the property. The company profile, which follows the terms specified in the contract.If no due date is specified within the company profile, I assume the system defaults to the property's general setting. Additionally, I presume that the due date is calculated based on the invoice issue date.I would appreciate any further guidance you can provide.Thank you in advance for your assistance.
