Hallo,Vielleicht habe ich da eine Blockade aber ich kann leider nicht erkennen, wie ich als Administrator eine bestehende Restriktionen überschreiben kann.Das Problem ist, dass ich jedes Mal die Restriktionen modifizieren oder gar löschen muss, um diese bestehende Restriktionen in Teilen zu überschreiben. Bei unserem Vorherigen PMS war es als Administrator jederzeit möglich, ein Restriktion einfach nur zu überschreiben.Danke für eure Infos und Feedback im Voraus.

Hi Everyone!We have recently set up the MEWS KIOSK in our Tablet and I wanted to ask, if there is a way to disable the automatic check in after filling up the details and signing the digital card? We just want to use the app just as a digital registration card. TIP OF THE WEEK: Simplifying rate groups in Mews and how to organize and display rates effectively Rate groups are like folders that contain different rates with similar rules for settlements and cancellation fees. However, creating these groups needs more than just rates that look alike. When we group rates, we must think about how they appear in the Mews Booking Engine. Here's the thing: only the cheapest rate in a group will show up. So, if you have two rates in one group, only the cheaper one shows, and the more expensive one gets crossed out. Dear Mews team First of all, 6 years ago when we switched to Mews, it was because of the modern platform with most functions ready to use for one price.Over the years we saw improvements, especially due to the fact that Mews software engineers started listening to people working at full service hotels with real staff and real guestsI fully understand that improvements have to be continued and that efficiency is kingI really thought that paperless is going to be the future, so I am very surprised to see what will be happening to the Reservation report which we all find on main commander screenOn screen it is REALLY useful.All our staff can quickly see what happened in the last hour, and for additional enquiries there are filters (top). Easy to edit and make changes (there are always changes)Several points I wish to mention and hope that actual reservation report stays as it is, or improvements will be implemented asap in the new

Good morning everybody from Venice, Italy.I would like to ask the community how they approach the following very common situation: When you have two or more rooms travelling together as a family, it can very well happen that one customer will settle for all of them. In a previous PMS I was able to just route any charges to e.g. the kids’ room to the parent room using ‘route to room’ and inserting the corresponding room number.Mews does not seem to have this feature, other than changing the bill owner, which however does not solve the issue of any further charges made during the stay to be routed automatically to the main room. Any charges made to the kids’ room remains in a new bill in the kids’ room.Is there any feature or work-around that perhaps I am overlooking?Thank you very much for your feedback, it will be much appreciated.Paola

Hallo liebe Community,seit der neuen Ledger-Funktion haben wir ein Problem mit den ausstehenden Salden.Bisher haben wir die Gegenkonto-Funktion immer als Abgleich und Kontrolle für offene Rechnungen genutzt. Seit dem letzten Update werden jedoch bei Erstattungen und Gutschriften diese Positionen weiterhin mit unterschiedlichen Salden angezeigt, anstatt – wie zuvor – mit 0 Saldo ausgeblendet zu werden.Ein Beispiel habe ich im Anhang beigefügt.Da wir dieses Tool in der Buchhaltung als Übersicht für offene Rechnungen verwenden, befürchten wir, dass die Liste durch weitere Gutschriften zunehmend „zugemüllt“ wird und der Überblick verloren geht. Vom Support wurde uns bereits ein Workaround über Excel empfohlen, was in der täglichen Praxis allerdings wenig sinnvoll erscheint.Hat jemand ähnliche Erfahrungen

We have a few guests who come very regularly (like one day a week). When we try to book them for a year, it is a very monotonous process to manually book 45 rooms!Is there a method we’re missing? Thanks

Hello AllI need to prepare my lodging tax return.  This is due every quarter. We are new to MEWS and have been on it for three months. I need the following information (Keyword here is STAYED in):How many room nights stayed in by the guests at the hotel How many of those nights came from OTAs How many reservations were were 7-30 nights stayed in How many reservations were 30+ night stayed in How much revenue from nightly stay within a given period How much revenue from 7-30 nightly stay for a given period How much Revenue from 30+ nightly stay in a given period I have been trying to figure this out from the reservation report, but this is not helping since it pulls data from when the reservation was created, or overlapping etc. It need data for nights that were consumed (for lack of better word) or STAYED in (regardless of when the reservation was created or modified or updated).

Is there a way to automatically mark reservations as paid through SiteMinder and Airbnb on Mews? The reservations are paid through Airbnb and we need the guest balance in Mews to be $0 in order for our Lynx integration to send the guest their door lock code!

It is a pain to have to manually update all translations for room rates, products, and room names for each language. There should be a way to auto translate all of this like it does for other parts of the built-in booking engine. Any solutions out there?

Hello everyoneHas Mews resolved the room capacity issue to distinguish between adults/children an infants? When we did our system set up, we understood that we couldnt set up an age matrix relative to our guest count. Ie if we wish to have a villa with a max capacity of 4 adults but would allow up to 2 children/infants, we can’t do this in Mews as this would = 6 guests and mean 6 adults could book.Obviously accommodation providers often has bedding for smaller people like children and infants, so how can i set this up in the system?

When using the general filter, “Segment” appears as an option, but you can’t type or select anything 🤔Is anyone else experiencing the same issue? 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️

Bonjour, Il arrive souvent que nous devons changer le nom d’une réservation sans l’annuler. Par contre, l’ancien nom reste visible dans le nom du groupe et en haut à gauche de la réservation. Cela crée de la confusion. Est-ce qu’on peut faire quelque chose?  

Looking to see if anyone has any first hand experience with using Remotelock and MEWS. Right now, we are using TTlock devices, which do not directly connect, but Remotelock is the bridge between them all.I am mostly curious about first hand experience and also ways in which you send codes to guests and how that works in with MEWS. 

Hello,Is there a way to move rooms on reservations during stay without splitting the reservation?

Hallo Community,wir haben eine (abhängige) Werbeaktionsrate erstellt und möchten diese nun mit korrektem Streichpreis auf der WBE anzeigen lassen. Die Werbeaktionsrate ist Ratengruppe A (Non-Ref) zugeordnet. Die Basisrate dafür ist Ratengruppe B (Flex) zugeordnet und soll als Streichpreis angezeigt werden. Als Streichpreis bedient Mews sich jedoch scheinbar nur aus der selben Ratengruppe. Ich habe bereits versucht eine Dummy-Rate (Kopie der Basisrate) in Ratengruppe A als Fundament für den Streichpreis zu hinterlegen. Diese muss jedoch aktiviert sein, um als Streichpreis angezeigt zu werden. Wenn nun ein Gast ohne Promocode für die Werbeaktionsrate bucht, kann er die Dummy-Rate sehen. Nicht gut. Gibt es noch eine andere Lösung? Vielen Dank und einen guten Start in die Woche! Liebe Grüße, Niclas
