Dear Mews team First of all, 6 years ago when we switched to Mews, it was because of the modern platform with most functions ready to use for one price.Over the years we saw improvements, especially due to the fact that Mews software engineers started listening to people working at full service hotels with real staff and real guestsI fully understand that improvements have to be continued and that efficiency is kingI really thought that paperless is going to be the future, so I am very surprised to see what will be happening to the Reservation report which we all find on main commander screenOn screen it is REALLY useful.All our staff can quickly see what happened in the last hour, and for additional enquiries there are filters (top). Easy to edit and make changes (there are always changes)Several points I wish to mention and hope that actual reservation report stays as it is, or improvements will be implemented asap in the new

Can i ask what you use to check new reservations on day to day basis? Per now, there is no notifications on new reservations from day to day.  Since Mews allocates rooms automatically - it would be nice to have a popup or donut in the dashboard for “new reservation” on day to day basis.  Mews have notification for future reservation that gets booked - but this doesnt help day to day front office.  Best regardsHaris - Ole Bull Bergen, Norway

Hallo zusammen,Am Wochenende haben wir aktuell einen Mindestaufenthalt von zwei Nächten. Gibt es eine Möglichkeit, kurzfristig (X-Tage vorher ) automatisch freie Kapazitäten auch für nur eine Nacht freizugeben? Ich bekomme die Einstellung leider nicht hin. Vielen Dank vorab :-)

Is there a way to send a confirmation from the availability blocks before the rooms are picked up? with a summary of total rooms blocked of each category. Price per night and total price for entire booking?

Dear team,Previously, when managing a reservation via the status screen, it was easy to click on the customer name for his/her details, and simply press the ‘back/return’-button to go back to the status screen.This handy feature existed until not so long ago, but now seems to have gone.Would it be possible to re-introduce this ‘back/return’-button on the customer profile (linking back to the status page of the reservation)?

Howdy folks!We have a boutique resort with a day spa and bistro (breakfast, lunch, high tea, and pop up dinners). I say in a micro learning video that you can use bookable services and spaces for day use items but struggling to find any use cases and best practices in terms of structure. Key questions:How would you set up dining spaces so that you can take multiple reservations in the dining room for the same time? Would we need to create a space for each table? How do you manage therapist availability in the spa booking aspect? Is there a way to easily copy existing products from other bookable services? For dining, would we need to create a separate rate for each type of(breakfast, lunch, etc) or would they be upsells for a dining rate?Examples from teams actually using this feature this way would be great. NOTE: We are in the US so POS and Events are not released here yet. Wir haben viele Firmen die z.B. 5 Zimmer als Langzeitaufenthalt buchen und zu 90% eine Reservierungsbestätigung erwarten. Reservierungsbestätigung: Übernachtung plus Posten, erscheint der Posten z.b. 30x auf der Bestätigung pro Tag Frühstück. Das sprengt den Rahmen. Bei der Rechnung können wir das filtern, bei der Reservierungsbestätigung nicht. Wenn wir die Leistungen als Paket buchen, ist die Reservierungsbestätigung übersichtlich. Auf der Rechnung erscheinen dann aber die Mehrwertsteuersätze:7% Übernachtung, (richtig)7% Speisen und Getränke (richtig wäre: Speisen)und nochmal19 % Speisen und Getränke (richtig wäre Getränke ). In den Klassifizierungen lässt sich auch nur Speisen und Getränke auswählen. Gibt es da eine Lösung ?

Happy to spark a conversation about the topic here.Mews has implemented various security measures like the 2FA / New Device Logins / SSO, BUT we think there are other options which should also be added to actively prevent any hacking attempts.I think we can all agree that the main security threats stem from our front office agents in combination with the fluctuation. Additionally, it becomes more critical if a user has access to multiple properties (e.g. Nighties that take care of multiple hotels)Please find a few of our suggestions below:Redefine User privilegesUser privileges – in my opinion – are a mess right now. HelloWe are changing the price for breakfast supplements using our B&B rates.  I have changed the product rule for our B&B rates to assign the new breakfast product to the rate code.However we are now seeing examples where MEWS is adding the new product to bookings that already exist with the old product assigned, thereby creating a duplicate with both the old product and new product assigned to the booking.I don’t want to create a new set of rate codes with the new breakfast price, since their are many dependencies and mappings that would require a lot of updating.Anyone experienced anything similar and has a solution other than manually correcting it every time?Thanks

Hallo,Vielleicht habe ich da eine Blockade aber ich kann leider nicht erkennen, wie ich als Administrator eine bestehende Restriktionen überschreiben kann.Das Problem ist, dass ich jedes Mal die Restriktionen modifizieren oder gar löschen muss, um diese bestehende Restriktionen in Teilen zu überschreiben. Bei unserem Vorherigen PMS war es als Administrator jederzeit möglich, ein Restriktion einfach nur zu überschreiben.Danke für eure Infos und Feedback im Voraus.

We just want to use the app just as a digital registration card. However, creating these groups needs more than just rates that look alike. When we group rates, we must think about how they appear in the Mews Booking Engine. Here's the thing: only the cheapest rate in a group will show up. So, if you have two rates in one group, only the cheaper one shows, and the more expensive one gets crossed out. Good morning everybody from Venice, Italy.I would like to ask the community how they approach the following very common situation: When you have two or more rooms travelling together as a family, it can very well happen that one customer will settle for all of them. In a previous PMS I was able to just route any charges to e.g. the kids’ room to the parent room using ‘route to room’ and inserting the corresponding room number.Mews does not seem to have this feature, other than changing the bill owner, which however does not solve the issue of any further charges made during the stay to be routed automatically to the main room. Any charges made to the kids’ room remains in a new bill in the kids’ room.Is there any feature or work-around that perhaps I am overlooking?Thank you very much for your feedback, it will be much appreciated.Paola

Hallo liebe Community,seit der neuen Ledger-Funktion haben wir ein Problem mit den ausstehenden Salden.Bisher haben wir die Gegenkonto-Funktion immer als Abgleich und Kontrolle für offene Rechnungen genutzt. Seit dem letzten Update werden jedoch bei Erstattungen und Gutschriften diese Positionen weiterhin mit unterschiedlichen Salden angezeigt, anstatt – wie zuvor – mit 0 Saldo ausgeblendet zu werden.Ein Beispiel habe ich im Anhang beigefügt.Da wir dieses Tool in der Buchhaltung als Übersicht für offene Rechnungen verwenden, befürchten wir, dass die Liste durch weitere Gutschriften zunehmend „zugemüllt“ wird und der Überblick verloren geht. Vom Support wurde uns bereits ein Workaround über Excel empfohlen, was in der täglichen Praxis allerdings wenig sinnvoll erscheint.Hat jemand ähnliche Erfahrungen

We have a few guests who come very regularly (like one day a week). When we try to book them for a year, it is a very monotonous process to manually book 45 rooms!Is there a method we’re missing? Thanks

It is a pain to have to manually update all translations for room rates, products, and room names for each language. There should be a way to auto translate all of this like it does for other parts of the built-in booking engine. Any solutions out there?

Hello everyoneHas Mews resolved the room capacity issue to distinguish between adults/children an infants? When we did our system set up, we understood that we couldnt set up an age matrix relative to our guest count. Ie if we wish to have a villa with a max capacity of 4 adults but would allow up to 2 children/infants, we can’t do this in Mews as this would = 6 guests and mean 6 adults could book.Obviously accommodation providers often has bedding for smaller people like children and infants, so how can i set this up in the system?
