Dear all,We frequently deal with large group bookings that place a significant number of rooms on option, which can occasionally result in an overbooking situation. In many cases, these groups eventually release some of their rooms, meaning no additional rooms are required. However, if they do end up needing all of the rooms they have on option, we have to accommodate these guests by upgrading them to the next available room category at no additional cost.I would like Mews to automatically block the next cheapest available room categories when we are, for example, two rooms overbooked. This functionality already works correctly through the Mews Booking Engine, but it does not seem to apply to other booking channels.As we are part of Best Western, we also use MemberWeb.Does anyone have experience with this setup or know how to configure Mews so that room availability is automatically adjusted in the event of an overbooking? Dear all,We are currently experiencing an issue with our hotels in Austria regarding Booking.com reservations that include Bed & Breakfast.We have noticed a slight difference in the total amount charged. The reason appears to be that Booking.com calculates the city tax based on the total reservation amount (room + breakfast), whereas Mews calculates the city tax only on the room rate, since breakfast is configured as a separate product.As a result, there is a discrepancy between the total amount calculated by Booking.com and the amount charged in Mews.Has anyone else experienced the same issue? Next, we're giving those same rates something just as powerful: their own tax setup. The problem today. Right now, every derived rate is locked to the tax configuration of its base rate.But we learned that hotels in North America don't work that way. A government or corporate rate, a tax-exempt rate, a long-stay rate, or a channel-specific rate can each carry a different tax obligation. I am trying to get set up so I can start my project and testing, but I keep receiving the following error:“Cannot exceed maximum quota of 200. Hallo Community, ich habe gerade den Kiosk in Betrieb genommen. Bei einem ersten Test ist mir aufgefallen, dass dem Gast dort alle “enthaltenen” Produkte angezeigt werden. Das ist insofern problematisch, da wir mit “Minus-Produkten” arbeiten. Die soll nun wirklich kein Gast sehen, denn das führt zwangsläufig zu Fragen. Diese Zeit möchte ich gern unseren Gästen und der Rezeption sparen. Habt jemand von euch eine gute Lösung?Hinweis: Auf Rechnungen werden die Produkte nicht angezeigt, weil wir unter Produktoptionen “als Paket abrechnen” ausgewählt haben. Offensichtlich hat das leider keine Auswirkung beim Kiosk.  

Salto has recently released the option for wallet-based keys. Mews did so for Assa-Abloy almost a year ago, but for Salto locks we’re still waiting.Guests are losing/ not returning way too many of our key cards and this would be a great option to cut down on that, while at the same time it would improve our guest experience.So, is the integration coming soon?

We'd love your honest input before we roll it out to everyone. What's new in this versionThe report has been migrated to our new table component, bringing a significantly more powerful experience for managing group business day-to-day: Column show/hide — tailor the report to your workflow. New opt-in columns include Release Rule Type, Segment, Reservation Purpose, Pickup Distribution, PO Number, Company, and Travel Agency. Saved view — added/removed columns can be reorganized and saved. Filtering, and sorting — filter by Status, search by Name. Excel export — preserved from the current version, with the new columns included. Pick-up vs. blocked spaces — the most-requested addition. We have a few properties in Spain, and one of them relies entirely on online check-in. About a month ago, we migrated from our previous PMS to Mews, and since then we’ve experienced a huge amount of friction with the online check-in process. Around 99% of our reservations require manual intervention due to issues with the check-in flow.I’d like to ask those of you who have more experience with Mews for some advice on how you’re handling this operationally.In Spain, Mews online check-in process does not allow the main guest to complete the registration details for all guests in the reservation. Instead, every guest (including children) must be individually invited via email, with a different email address for each person.This creates several operational challenges:We need the primary guest to be able to complete the entire check-in for everyone in the reservation. Liebe Community!Hier ein kleines Feedback bzw. ein Workaround für das Thema Voranreise und Mobility Ticket im Bundesland Salzburg.Wahrscheinlich habt ihr – wie wir – das Problem, dass die Voranreise an Feratel nicht wie gewünscht übermittelt wird.Wir haben dafür mittlerweile eine Lösung gefunden: In MEWS haben wir einen zweiten buchbaren Service angelegt, der ausschließlich für das Mobility Ticket verwendet wird. Die Buchung wird separat über diesen Service erstellt, eingecheckt und dadurch die Übermittlung an Feratel gestartet. Vom Check-in bis zum automatischen Versand des Tickets vergehen in der Regel etwa 15 Minuten.Bitte beachtet dabei folgende Punkte: Die Buchung muss immer für den aktuellen Tag angelegt werden, da ein Check-in erforderlich ist. Hi,We have an old invoice in Mews that was paid through another system. As part of our cleanup, we would like to register an external payment against this invoice.However, when we try to do so, we receive the following error message: “Cannot specify both BillId and InvoiceIds.”We initiate the process from the invoice by selecting Add External Payment, but the window that opens asks us to create a new bill. And although we choose to do so, we are unable to register the payment against the existing invoice.Could you please explain why this is happening and how we can resolve it? Hi everyone,I am looking for advice regarding the integration between Mews and TESA locks.We chose TESA mainly because it is officially supported by Mews, but after following the Mews setup instructions, we still cannot connect Mews with TESA. The TESA system itself works perfectly: the locks work correctly and card encoding works from the TESA application. The issue is only the connection between Mews and TESA.I opened case 00668982 with Mews Support on 15 June. Since then, I have checked Mews Connector, tested different IP/port combinations, performed key creation tests, and sent all requested logs. On 18 June, I was told the case had been escalated to developers, but I have now been waiting 9 days without any real update or solution. This is affecting our daily operation, as we are having to create all keys manually from TESA.Could someone from Mews please review the case and clarify whether this is a known issue, a missing configuration step, or something specific to our setup?Than

Hi everyone,I am looking for some advice regarding Mews Kiosk and guest data/signature collection during check-in.We are a seasonal property and, before opening the season, I upgraded from the Starter package to the Essential package specifically because I was advised by the Mews person assigned to my case that this would allow us to use Mews Kiosk to collect guest details and signatures during check-in, without relying on third-party tools as we had done before.However, when our first guest arrived and we used the tablet, Mews Kiosk found the reservation, but then skipped the whole data collection and signature process completely. It went straight to showing the room information. The guest had not completed online check-in, and we have also tested this with our own reservations, so it does not seem to be an isolated case.After checking Mews Community, I found some posts suggesting that a higher package may be required for this functionality and that Customer Success needs to be contac
