VAT update - Netherlands 2026

– Dutch version below 👇 –Hello,  We are writing to inform you about the Mews action regarding the Tax update for 2026 in the Netherlands. Given that the increase from 9% to 21% must still pass through the Lower and Upper Houses (Tweede and Eerste Kamer) of parliament, we are not yet able to confirm the update in Mews but we are preparing for it. It is not presently possible to reflect different taxes in the system for the same rate. What that means is that, until the change is implemented in the program, the default VAT for stay occurring in 2026 will remain 9% and we don’t, at present foresee the change being implemented until the day the new tax comes into effect (currently, expected for January 1st 2026). That does not mean that it is impossible for you to prepare, and we wanted to share with you several steps to ensure the smoothest transition possible. STEP 1: Verify your Pricing environment That is not a setting that can be changed, but the following explanation will only make s

Credit Card Guarantee for Booking.com reservations

Hi everyoneI was wondering if you could help me with the following issue. Some of the hotels in our group are unstaffed during the night. For Booking.com guests, we work exclusively with VCCs. However, we’ve noticed that some guests check in outside of reception hours, consume extras on-site (such as minibar), and never show up for check-out — leaving their bill unpaid.Through online check-in, we can encourage guests to add a credit card in advance and follow this up manually.Ideally, it would be great if MEWS allowed us to send an “Add credit card request”, similar to a payment request but without a specific amount. This way, the reception team could send this for each reservation and follow up more easily.What are your thoughts on this? Or any other suggestions to solve this operational challenge?

Hallo zusammen,ich habe folgendes Problem, dass ich in Mews keine Releasezeit nach Stunden anlegen kann und in unserem Channelmanager (HNS) habe ich eigentlich einen automatischen Close für bestimmte Raten nach Uhrzeit aktiv, welcher durch Mews immer wieder geöffnet (überschrieben) wird.Hat jemand Erfahrungen damit in Mews eine Ratenschließung nach Uhrzeit einzustellen?Danke und liebe Grüße,Jasmin

Gebühren für Mews Payments - IST-Kosten wo ersichtlich?

Hallo Mewser, unser erster Monat mit Mews ist nun rum. Unser Steuerbüro hat den ersten Export über Datev erhalten. Da die Gebühren für das Mews Payment vom Umsatz abgezogen werden, gibt es gerade noch eine Diskrepanz. Meine Frage: Wo finde ich in Mews eine klare Aufstellung, welche Gebühren genau von den Zahlungen unserer Gäste einbehalten wurden? facturation à payer et à rembourser

Bonjour, nous avons mews depuis peu, Nous sommes dans une impasse. Quand je suis dans la factuation, il arrive parfois que j’ai deux factures ouvertes, une à payer et une à rembourser, mais je ne veux pas rembourser. Exemple, il avait réservé pour deux nuits, je l’ai fait payer à l’arrivée mais il raccourcit son séjours d’une nuit. Je lui fait donc un ajustement sur sa facture, et quand j’arrive à la facturation, mews veut que je fasse un remboursement et un paiement du même montant, mais le client à déjà payé la totalité à l’arrivée et été remboursé d’une nuité .  pouvez vous m’aider avec cela ??car tant que la facture n’est pas à zéro je ne peux pas effectuer le départ et comme le motel est plein je voudrais bien récupèrer ces chambres là!

Bon de commande vs balance des débiteurs

Bonjour,Question pour la gang du Québec qui utilise Mews : comment faites-vous pour lier vos bons de commande (numéros de référence de nos partenaires) aux compagnies lorsque vous réconciliez vos balances débiteurs ? D’après ce que j’ai remarqué, le numéro de commande n’apparaît pas dans le registre comptable. On perd énormément de temps à ouvrir chaque facture pour vérifier le numéro du bon de commande, afin de lier ensuite la facture au paiement que je veux inscrire dans ladite compagnie.Merci et bonne journée !

Rechnung ohne Reservierung bei Buchung in der Zukunft

Moin zusammen,hattet Ihr dieses Phänomen auch schon einmal?Folgende Situation: Der Gast war im August bei uns, ist bereits abgereist und hat eine neue Buchung für kommendes Jahr. Wir möchten jetzt ein Produkt buchen und ihm in Rechnung stellen. Mews nimmt als Buchungsdatum automatisch das Anreisedatum vom kommenden Jahr. Eine manuelle Änderung des Buchungsdatum des Produkts ist nicht möglich. Ich nehme an - und hoffe - dass sich das Umsatzdatum im Moment einer Zahlung an den aktuellen Tag anpasst. Habe ich noch nicht getestet. -- Ätsch, im Demo getestet. Nein, der Umsatz bleibt beim zukünftigem Datum. Nur die Zahlung verbucht er auf heute.Bug oder Fehlentwicklung? Auf jeden Fall falsch!Ich öffne parallel ein Ticket. Aber hattet Ihr das auch schon mal?Viele GrüßeLeif

Hallo zusammen,ich bin gerade dabei, unsere MEWS E-Mail-Templates anzupassen, und dabei sind ein paar Fragen aufgekommen – vielleicht hat ja jemand von euch schon ähnliche Erfahrungen gemacht oder sogar eine Lösung gefunden:  Token-Anzeige für unsere Adresse – Der Token wird bei mir gar nicht angezeigt, obwohl ich die Adresse in den Property Settings hinterlegt habe. Muss dafür eventuell noch irgendwo etwas zusätzlich konfiguriert werden? Produkt-/Service-Kennzeichen – Bei mir werden Produkt- oder Servicenamen sowie Mengen gar nicht abgebildet. Weiß jemand, was hier genau gemeint ist oder wie ich das korrekt darstellen kann?„Preispostenname“ und „Preispostenrate“ werden zwar angezeigt, allerdings nur mit unserem internen Produktnamen. Name display in multi-room booking confirmations

Hi everyone,has anyone noticed a change since the update in early/mid-June? I believe this coincided with the go-live of the mail template editor.Previously, when we changed the “Reservation Owner,” the confirmation email sent to the booker would list the individual guest names for each booking number. Unfortunately, this no longer happens.Now, the confirmation only shows the booker’s name at the top of the message, with no guest names shown for the individual reservations. For multi-room bookings, this is understandably quite confusing for both us and the guests.Overall, the default confirmation template for the booker (which we still use) is noticeably less effective than it was before the update.We have tried editing the standard template to fix this, but so far without real success.We managed to show the bookers name for all reservations, but thats not really helpful either.Has anyone found a solution or workaround for this? Are we doing something wrong?Any help would be greatly ap
