Hi Mews Community ✌We've been reworking the Availability Block Report and we're now ready to open a beta. We'd love your honest input before we roll it out to everyone. What's new in this versionThe report has been migrated to our new table component, bringing a significantly more powerful experience for managing group business day-to-day: Column show/hide — tailor the report to your workflow. New opt-in columns include Release Rule Type, Segment, Reservation Purpose, Pickup Distribution, PO Number, Company, and Travel Agency. Saved view — added/removed columns can be reorganized and saved. Filtering, and sorting — filter by Status, search by Name. Excel export — preserved from the current version, with the new columns included. Pick-up vs. blocked spaces — the most-requested addition. You can now see, per block and per service, how many spaces have been picked up out of the total blocked, without having going into the block detail.  A note on Booker, Company, and Travel Agency

Hi everyone,I am looking for some advice regarding Mews Kiosk and guest data/signature collection during check-in.We are a seasonal property and, before opening the season, I upgraded from the Starter package to the Essential package specifically because I was advised by the Mews person assigned to my case that this would allow us to use Mews Kiosk to collect guest details and signatures during check-in, without relying on third-party tools as we had done before.However, when our first guest arrived and we used the tablet, Mews Kiosk found the reservation, but then skipped the whole data collection and signature process completely. It went straight to showing the room information. The guest had not completed online check-in, and we have also tested this with our own reservations, so it does not seem to be an isolated case.After checking Mews Community, I found some posts suggesting that a higher package may be required for this functionality and that Customer Success needs to be contac

 Can anyone please assist with explaining how some of my room types have Non-refundable cancellation tags, and some have Partially refundable tags.The same rates are applied to all the room types, so I would expect them to display the same way, all Non-refundable.Anyone know what might be causing the policy difference between room types?

Hello! If I have a corporate rate that I cannot yield, is there any way to exempt that rate from property level restrictions?I know I can do this in Mews directly as an exception on the rate or rate group, but I am trying to leverage the automation from our RMS to do this. Example: Two night min on a room type being sent from our RMS, but NEGABC rate should not be affected. Many PMS systems would have a ‘non yieldable’ option in the rate configuration that would allow for this. 

Hallöchen,  eine Frage arbeitet jemand mit Triptease zusammen? Und wie sind eure Erfahrungen? Angeblich hat Triptease Probleme mit der MEWS Schnittstelle und kann mir daher seit Januar keine Daten mehr schicken. Habt ihr das auch? Danke!! Kati 

Hallo!Gibt es die Möglichkeit, alte Produkte auszublenden?Wir haben ein buchbares Produkt Frühstück und mussten das ja zum Jahresbeginn splitten in Speisen- und Getränkeanteil. Dadurch habe ich 2 neue Produkte bekommen. Wenn ich das zubuche, wird mir aber immer noch das alte Produkt angezeigt und ich möchte nicht, dass jemand von unseren Leuten versehentlich das aufbucht. When taking a customer reservation directly on the phone, once the availability is checked and the name is taken, one can set the reservation as optional (so it appears as non confimed in dotted lines in the calendar) and send the quotation email from the same screen. Very nice. The problem is that the customer can simply click confirm on the email and automatically receive back another automated email from MEWS saying the reservation is confirmed. In the calendar, it is changed as confirmed and we have no easy way to spot the missing card details information unless we do some systematic checks. Customer is thus free to cancel the day before or not come to the hotel and we have no way to secure the payment. For that we would need to send another email for card payment method demand, which would have to be tracked and followed up manually separately. Not automated… Not linked to the reservation… OK, there might be the option not to use the quotation email but rather send the payment ema

Je dois modifier mon intervalle de mise à jour selon Roura mais je ne sais pas trop comment mis prendre. Peut-être qu’il y a une façon plus simple de changer les tarifs.

Dear all,We frequently deal with large group bookings that place a significant number of rooms on option, which can occasionally result in an overbooking situation. In many cases, these groups eventually release some of their rooms, meaning no additional rooms are required. However, if they do end up needing all of the rooms they have on option, we have to accommodate these guests by upgrading them to the next available room category at no additional cost.I would like Mews to automatically block the next cheapest available room categories when we are, for example, two rooms overbooked. This functionality already works correctly through the Mews Booking Engine, but it does not seem to apply to other booking channels.As we are part of Best Western, we also use MemberWeb.Does anyone have experience with this setup or know how to configure Mews so that room availability is automatically adjusted in the event of an overbooking? The same rate flexibility you just got for pricing, now coming for tax.We recently brought per-guest pricing to your derived rates. Next, we're giving those same rates something just as powerful: their own tax setup. The problem today. Right now, every derived rate is locked to the tax configuration of its base rate.But we learned that hotels in North America don't work that way. A government or corporate rate, a tax-exempt rate, a long-stay rate, or a channel-specific rate can each carry a different tax obligation. The only way to handle that today is to build a separate base rate for every tax variation. This creates more rates to manage, messier distribution, difficulties syncing so many rates with RMS’ and reporting that's harder to trust. What's coming. Soon you'll be able to set taxes directly on any derived rate, so the right tax applies to the right guest, automatically. And it works just like per-guest pricing:Inherit by default. Derived rates pick up their tax from the base r

Charge correctly for every guest: on every rate, not just your base rates.Per-guest pricing is now live for derived rates: the rates that take their price from one of your base rates, like your corporate, promotional, and discounted package rates. Why this is a big deal. Until now, per-guest pricing only worked on base rates. On a discounted derived rate, the discount didn't just come off the room, it also ate into what you charged for extra guests beyond your standard occupancy. So a third or fourth guest got discounted too, and you left money on the table. The only way around it was building a separate base rate for every variation. This was slow to set up, impossible to manage with a RMS and a headache to maintain.That's solved. Now, if you choose to, your dependent rates can derive the standard-occupancy price from the base rate, and carry their own, correct adjustments for each additional guest or child. What you get:  Accurate revenue on every rate. Hello,I was wondering if there is a way to see the communication that Mews automatically sends to a guest or to verify they recieved the confirmation Email, Online Check-in Email, Online Check-in Text message? It would be nice to be able to use to help fight chargebacks to show the guest recieved those and to show when they opened/submitted the documents. 

Is there any setting that can permit a guest to MODIFY their booking through the booking engine?  This from accessing the booking from their confirmation email.I can only find a way to cancel the booking.

Hi All,Has anyone found a work around on how to manually schedule a payment?If a card fails, we would love to be able to schedule the system to try again. Also for reservations made direct with the team, a payment request is used to capture the card data. It would save so much time if the team could then schedule when the final balance should be automatically collected. Thanks,  

I have customized our confirmation email. I have’t changed the cancellation section as far as I am aware, but on flexible bookings it’s showing No cancellation fee - which is incorrect.

I noticed that for Swiss properties it’s mandatory to include a QR code for payment on their hotel invoices.  Will this roll out for other european properties as well even though it’s not mandatory?More and more companies are doing this and it reduces payment mistakes and reminders.We would really like those to be added to the pdf version of our sales invoices.

Now I am wondering what will be the path forward for current Atomize users?What are the advantages of Mews RMS? Are there any drawbacks? Will there be a migration path?Does MEWS RMS include RealTime Optimization with AutoPilot mode? What about the costs of Atomize vs. Mews RMS?Will Atomize users get new features and updates as well as Mews RMS?If there is a migration from Atomize to Mews RMS, will historical data maintained?I understand that it’s a priority to gain new users, but still it would be great to know what the plan is for existing users?Best regards,Jean-Philipp.

Die Zimmer sollen jedoch ganz normal über Mews verwaltet werden. Gäste buchen Einzel-, Doppel- oder Dreibettzimmer, teilweise gemischt (z. B. Anfänger/Fortgeschrittene oder mit Begleitpersonen).Die Reit-Raten haben wir bereits die in Mews angelegt.Unsere Herausforderung:Wir möchten die Reitpauschalen auf unserer separaten Ranch-Website online buchbar machen – aktuell läuft alles über Anfragen und wir tragen die Buchungen anschließend manuell in Mews ein.Idealerweise soll:die Zimmerverfügbarkeit direkt aus Mews kommen, gleichzeitig aber pro Reitgruppe maximal 6 Plätze buchbar sein, und die Zimmerbel

Hallo zusammen,wir arbeiten aktuell mit HNS (HotelNetSolution) zusammen und möchten unsere Packages bestmöglich darstellen und erfolgreich vermarkten. Dabei stoßen wir jedoch auf Herausforderungen in der Darstellung und insbesondere in der Preislogik.Ein konkretes Beispiel: Es gibt Packages mit einzelnen Package-Elementen, die nur einmal pro Aufenthalt hinzugebucht bzw. berechnet werden sollen. Mews kann aktuell jedoch nur Produkte an HNS übermitteln, die pro Aufenthaltstag inkludiert sind.Als möglicher Workaround wurde uns empfohlen, einen entsprechenden Aufschlag in HNS zu hinterlegen. Allerdings entstehen dadurch teilweise preisliche Abweichungen bzw. Differenzen, die für uns nicht optimal abbildbar sind.Daher unsere Frage an die Community:Gibt es hier jemanden, der ebenfalls mit HNS arbeitet und unterschiedliche Package-Modelle vermarktet?
