Ich würde jedoch gerne wissen, wie die Zahlen in diesem Berichtsformat konkret entstehen und weiss nicht wie ich das anstellen soll - soll ich über den Buchhaltungsbericht gehen und dort mit Anzahlung Positiv und Negativ arbeiten? issue with kiosk

I am writing to you regarding a few issues we’ve recently encountered on Mews. First of all, when Mews Kiosk prompts us to enter email addresses, there are instances where, for various reasons, the email entered does not get saved under the client's profile in the "Email address" field, but instead appears in the "Internal Notes" section.This is a major issue for us, as it replaces existing client notes with the email address, permanently erasing important information. These notes often contain details about returning guests, their preferences, habits, or dislikes, that are crucial to personalizing their experience. We would like to recover these notes, as well as any other client notes that were lost and never restored due to this issue. Additionally, our Head Housekeeper informed us that some rooms were missing from the turndown service report.

Hallo zusammen,wir verwenden den Mews Kiosk und sind insgesamt zufrieden damit. Nun hatten wir kürzlich wieder einen Gast, der sich selbst eingecheckt hat und dann einfach abgehauen ist. Wir wollen das in Zukunft unterbinden, in dem der Gast nur einchecken kann, wenn er auch bezahlt hat. Hierzu würden wir das Payment Terminal am Kiosk anbringen. Nun stellen sich 2 Fragen:Kann man irgendwo einstellen, dass Kleinstbeträge (z.B. nur die Kurtaxe) ignoriert wird? Wenn jemand über einen OTA gebucht hat und dort schon bezahlt hat, wir aber die VCC noch nicht belastet haben, dann soll die Regelung natürlich nicht gelten und der Gast soll trotzdem einchecken können. Ist das machbar?Danke und VG,Dennis

Custom Terms & Conditions for Group Blocks

Hello 👋,Our hotels use availability blocks and booking engine links primarily for groups and special events.Is there a way to specify custom terms and conditions for each block?I noticed that during the booking process there is only a link to the general terms & conditions, which in the case of blocks are likely not fully applicable.I also cannot find any option to add visible notes, special terms & conditions, etc.

Buchhaltungsbericht - ETL Steuerbüro

Hallo zusammen, folgende Fragen:arbeitet noch jemand von Euch/Ihnen mit einem ETL Steuerbüro zusammen? - unser Steuerbüro kann angeblich die Buchhaltungsberichte in Excel nicht verarbeiten und uns somit keine BWA zur Verfügung stellen. Hat hier noch jemand ähnliche Erfahrungen (gemacht) und ggf. eine Lösung hierfür? Gibt es Tipps bei der Einrichtung der Datev-Schnittstelle? - leider komme ich hierbei überhaupt nicht voran.Vielen Dank vorab für die Hilfe.

Registrierkassenzertifikat Österreich

Grias Eich, bei uns läuft das Registrierkassenzertifikat bald ab. Jetzt versuche ich herauszufinden, was zu tun ist, um es zu erneuern. Das Zertifikat ist von A-trust - das kann ich auch im Marketplace sehen, allerdings wurde mir bei A-trust gesagt, dass es nur über den Hersteller der onlinekassa geht. Ich kann aber nichts darüber finden, wer dies ist.  Da mews mich ständig darauf hinweist, dass das Zertifikat bald abläuft können die es ja nicht sein. Hat jemand eine Idee? Rate management / pricing - made difficult (?)

What is going on with the rate management? Until yesterday I could simply select a date, a window would open up, and I could override the price.Now I first have to select the date, then a window opens with the pricing details, then I have to select ‘edit’, then I have to select the date, and only then can I change the price (‘Base price (incl. tax)’*)Is this something temporary?

Booking.com Aussetzer?

Hallo zusammen,  ich wollt eigentlich nur mal in die Runde fragen, ob Ihr momentan auch Performance-Probleme mit Booking habt - gestern hatten wir diverse Buchungen die wir manuell ziehen mussten, und gerade dauert es auch schon wieder über 15 Minuten bis wir die neuen Reservierungen erhalten.  Habt Ihr irgendwelche Tipps, wie Ihr solche nicht eingehenden Buchungen nicht verpasst? Im Endeffekt bleibt nicht mehr übrig, als sich durchs Extranet zu klicken und die neuen Buchungen, die heute gemacht wurden, noch einmal abzugleichen ob sie auch wirklich da sind.  Da bei uns gerade ein paar Messen anstehen, wollen wir da natürlich nicht das Risiko eingehen, dass wir da Buchungen verpassen, ist aber natürlich auch gerade die Zeit wo man die Zeit eigentlich nicht hat, das alles mehrfach zu prüfen 😖

How do you reconcile differences in cancellation fees between Mews and Booking.com?

It's come to my attention that there are moments where booking.com doesn't apply a cancellation fee to reservations if for some reason they know they won't receive the payment from the guest. While this is in isolation nice as you won't need to pay commissions on these, it does bring a challenge when cancellation policies are applied in Mews anyways.  How do you find out that booking.com doesn't apply a cancelation fee?What do you do with the cancelation fee in Mews that's automatically applied and needs to be corrected?How frequently does this happen? I would love to hear from you on your best practises in this regard!

Mews  rolled back an earier update in regards to rate update. (For a few days we were able to enjoy a hassle free rate management tool again). Well, now they are back with the same, click all the way, time sonsuming rate updates. Again, instead of being able to simply click on a date and right away overwrite the rate, press enter, save and automatically jump on the next date and repeat the prosess, they introduce a clicking nightmare. Just listen to what the crowed is asking and don’t fix what does not need fixing. you are making everyones life hearder.

Splitting products and adjusting guest numbers in MEWS

Hello everyone, hope you are doing well!Is there a handy solution for the following situations?1. Scenario:The occupancy of a double room changes during the stay. For example: Night 1 → only 1 pax From Night 2 onwards → a second person joins The room rate stays the same, but: Breakfast is linked to the number of guests. This means that either one breakfast is “too many” for the first night, or one breakfast is missing for the second night. Of course, we can manually add breakfast items on the invoice in advance, but then: The posting date is incorrect The product is not reflected in the breakfast report The pax count for the second night still shows only 1 Creating a second reservation is also an option, but then FO and HSK would both need tasks set for “stayover” handling.👉 Question: Is / will there be a function to define the number of guests per day within one reservation? This was possible in Fidelio Suite 8.2. Scenario:A business traveler brings their spouse along for the f

Change of product affecting already added products?

Hi!Before I mess around in our demo, maybe someone can give me a quick hint? (The help.mews.com docu is not helpful about this)So, when I change an existing service product (not additional service) in settings, will that affect instances of the same product that have been added to reservations/bills in the past (for future reservations)? Wir haben gekündigt bei mews. Eine Abrechnung haben wir nie erhalten   Jetzt bietet uns omnieboost an für 1000 Euro eine  Übersicht zu kaufen. Auch, obwohl wir seit 3 Monaten in einem anderen System sind , zieht uns mews immer noch Gelder  über die virtuelle Karte ab. Geld fließt aber nicht mehr an uns. Das ist schon wirklich höchst kriminell. Ansprechpartner haben wir keine , da wir ja gekündigt haben.

– Dutch version below 👇 –Hello,  We are writing to inform you about the Mews action regarding the Tax update for 2026 in the Netherlands. Given that the increase from 9% to 21% must still pass through the Lower and Upper Houses (Tweede and Eerste Kamer) of parliament, we are not yet able to confirm the update in Mews but we are preparing for it. It is not presently possible to reflect different taxes in the system for the same rate. What that means is that, until the change is implemented in the program, the default VAT for stay occurring in 2026 will remain 9% and we don’t, at present foresee the change being implemented until the day the new tax comes into effect (currently, expected for January 1st 2026). That does not mean that it is impossible for you to prepare, and we wanted to share with you several steps to ensure the smoothest transition possible. STEP 1: Verify your Pricing environment That is not a setting that can be changed, but the following explanation will only make s
