Hi AllIs there a way to have a tax-exempt report that will show all the reservations made that are tax exempt?  The report we have only shows the city tax-exempt.  We need a report that shows every tax-exempt especially the state tax.Brandy Brack General ManagerHotel Barkley

Ich verstehe das leider nicht und die schleifen kann man auch nur in englisch konfigurieren. gibt es da irgendwo eine seite, wo das genau erklärt ist ? ich bin hier gerade am verzweifeln. die gäste beschweren sich schon über die schlechte verständlichkeit des Angebots oder auch der Bestätigung. 

Anyone having issues with Expedia or booking transferring to Mews correctly?  If so how did you fix it?

Hi Mews Community,we use Mews + Guest Portal and would like to make City Tax mandatory to pay during online check-in — for both OTA and direct bookings.A few questions: Is it possible to offer additional payment methods in the Guest Portal (beyond credit card)? What’s the cleanest way to set this up: City Tax/Stay Product + Payment Policy, or (tax) deposit / automatic tax deposit? Ideally, guests should pay only the city tax during online check-in, while the remaining balance can be paid later. How do you handle the calculation in this setup (e.g., per person/per night, exemptions like children, partial stays/changes, and adjustments if the guest count or dates change after check-in)? Any best-practice setup tips are appreciated.

Good morning everybody from Venice, Italy.I would like to ask the community how they approach the following very common situation: When you have two or more rooms travelling together as a family, it can very well happen that one customer will settle for all of them. In a previous PMS I was able to just route any charges to e.g. the kids’ room to the parent room using ‘route to room’ and inserting the corresponding room number.Mews does not seem to have this feature, other than changing the bill owner, which however does not solve the issue of any further charges made during the stay to be routed automatically to the main room. Any charges made to the kids’ room remains in a new bill in the kids’ room.Is there any feature or work-around that perhaps I am overlooking?Thank you very much for your feedback, it will be much appreciated.Paola

Hallo liebe Community,seit der neuen Ledger-Funktion haben wir ein Problem mit den ausstehenden Salden.Bisher haben wir die Gegenkonto-Funktion immer als Abgleich und Kontrolle für offene Rechnungen genutzt. Seit dem letzten Update werden jedoch bei Erstattungen und Gutschriften diese Positionen weiterhin mit unterschiedlichen Salden angezeigt, anstatt – wie zuvor – mit 0 Saldo ausgeblendet zu werden.Ein Beispiel habe ich im Anhang beigefügt.Da wir dieses Tool in der Buchhaltung als Übersicht für offene Rechnungen verwenden, befürchten wir, dass die Liste durch weitere Gutschriften zunehmend „zugemüllt“ wird und der Überblick verloren geht. Vom Support wurde uns bereits ein Workaround über Excel empfohlen, was in der täglichen Praxis allerdings wenig sinnvoll erscheint.Hat jemand ähnliche Erfahrungen

We have a few guests who come very regularly (like one day a week). When we try to book them for a year, it is a very monotonous process to manually book 45 rooms!Is there a method we’re missing? Thanks

Hello AllI need to prepare my lodging tax return.  This is due every quarter. We are new to MEWS and have been on it for three months. I need the following information (Keyword here is STAYED in):How many room nights stayed in by the guests at the hotel How many of those nights came from OTAs How many reservations were were 7-30 nights stayed in How many reservations were 30+ night stayed in How much revenue from nightly stay within a given period How much revenue from 7-30 nightly stay for a given period How much Revenue from 30+ nightly stay in a given period I have been trying to figure this out from the reservation report, but this is not helping since it pulls data from when the reservation was created, or overlapping etc. It need data for nights that were consumed (for lack of better word) or STAYED in (regardless of when the reservation was created or modified or updated).

Is there a way to automatically mark reservations as paid through SiteMinder and Airbnb on Mews? The reservations are paid through Airbnb and we need the guest balance in Mews to be $0 in order for our Lynx integration to send the guest their door lock code!

Hey community,  We are trying to better track conversion on our website. We are currently use Google analytics GA 4 and i did the setup with this doc: https://mews-systems.gitbook.io/booking-engine-guide/booking-engine-widget/integrations/google-tag-manager but it does not really work.  Did anyone connect Tag with Mews booking engine and GA4 succesfully? Would super nice to understand what i need to do differently.  Best Hendrik

It is a pain to have to manually update all translations for room rates, products, and room names for each language. There should be a way to auto translate all of this like it does for other parts of the built-in booking engine. Any solutions out there?

Hello everyoneHas Mews resolved the room capacity issue to distinguish between adults/children an infants? When we did our system set up, we understood that we couldnt set up an age matrix relative to our guest count. Ie if we wish to have a villa with a max capacity of 4 adults but would allow up to 2 children/infants, we can’t do this in Mews as this would = 6 guests and mean 6 adults could book.Obviously accommodation providers often has bedding for smaller people like children and infants, so how can i set this up in the system?
