Digitally fill in registration card using MEWS KIOSK in a Tablet

Hi Everyone!

We have recently set up the MEWS KIOSK in our Tablet and I wanted to ask, if there is a way to disable the automatic check in after filling up the details and signing the digital card? We just want to use the app just as a digital registration card. I tried to find some answers in the community and with MEWS AI as well but couldn’t figure out exactly. 

Any kind of support will be much appreciated!

@nikoa you cán use the tablets as digital registration card.. however only in STAFF mode.

it is vital to understand that the tablet should be handled by staff, and only given to a guest at check in when you are using staff mode, as it would grant guests access to other guests information

I asked for this, but the support told me to just use the check in online because the kiosk is just for check in you can’t just use it to fill the registration card with it :(


+1 on this, a digital reg card would be a great imitative to capture some of the details that guests rarely fill on pen & paper.

Also the kiosk/online check-in is great for tech savvy guests however we all encounter a broad range of guests hence the need.

Hello,

I noticed that this question has been marked as solved, but I was not able to find a clear answer in the thread.

Were you able to configure the Mews Kiosk so that it only functions as a digital registration card, without automatically completing the check-in?

This is exactly what we are hoping to implement as well. Our goal is to eliminate paper registration cards and have guests review and sign the hotel conditions digitally on the kiosk, but we would still like our staff to complete the actual check-in when they are available.

We are known for our personalized customer service and would prefer not to replace that part of the guest arrival experience, while still modernizing the registration process.

If you found a way to achieve this setup, I would greatly appreciate hearing how you configured it.

The answer from Mews is the goal of the kiosk is not to be a registration device because you have the possibility to send the online check in

That is the answer i get from the support the last time i told them about that

The only thing is the room need to be ready to do it :)
