Most of the accounting integrations that Mews has to offer in our Mews Marketplace are generally built and managed by our tech partner, Omniboost. Their aim is to simply facilitate the connection. They do not manage the setup on either the Mews or the accounting side of things. They merely help to maintain the bridge between the two.This article aims to shed some light on the process of setup. STEP 1: Initiating the setupIn order to kick off the process, follow these simple steps Head to the Mews Marketplace and search for your desired integration. Before clicking “Connect” ensure that the accountant or person who’ll be undertaking the accounting setup is the one who adds the Integration via the Mews Marketplace. Once the integration is added, the Omniboost team will be notified and will reach out to the person who initiated the setup. Rate Structure

Hello everyone,It happened now a few times that I was in contact with hotels, that were not sure about how they would like to set up their rate structure, what rates to offer and how to define cancellation policies etc.Thus, I thought it would be nice to ask the community about what it is that is important for you, when developing a new rate structure?What are rates, where you think that they are a must-have?To me I often see the following rates:Flexible Rates (with free cancellation) Automatic payment only at the beginning of the stay Non-Refundable Rates (with no cancellation possible) Automatic payment at confirmation of the stay And sometimes special/cheaper rates that can only be booked if I stay for a specific amount of nights When I would create this rate structure, I personally would try to work as much as possible with derived rates. Hello Mews Community! 🤠 Using accounting categories, you can easily organize and track your property's products, revenue, and payments. Once you've set them up, your accounting team can make good use of these categories to keep tabs on your income and expenses 💻💳Remember, the accounting categories are different from your actual products. They simply help you link your products to specific categories for better organization 📁📂. So, let's say you have a shop on your property. You can link all the items to the 'shop 🛒' accounting category. When you check your accounting report and expand that category, voila! You'll see all the products linked to it, giving you a nice breakdown of your revenue. Oh, and don't worry, it'll even show the revenue divided by VAT rates.🤓 To create an accounting category you can follow this guide from the help center ❔If you are working with an accounting software, you will have to fill in the ledger account code. There's a nifty solution using Google Translate.No matter which browser you use, you can easily download the Google Translate browser extension. Just search for "Google Translate extension" for your specific browser and follow the simple download process. You might have noticed there is a Best Answer option at the bottom of all questions. I’m here to explain what this does and why it helps 🙂Clicking best answer means that out of several responses you may receive on your question, one comment will have the most relevant solution. Marking that answer as the best one will help others that are looking for a solution to the same question find the most obvious answer more easily.Not only that, you receive points when you select a best answer to your question. ⭐ And if someone marks your answer as a best answer to their question, you get double the points! 💪 Sometimes an answer is marked as best answer when it hasn’t solved the problem. Some areas of Mews may not work as designed, or is on the roadmap for improvement or is experiencing a bug. The best answer here would be to either raise a support ticket or create or vote on a feature request. Hello everyone,I’m thrilled because this is my first post on the Mews Community !At Mercure Roeselare we are seriously considering making a switch of POS in the next months. We are currently using Lightspeed L series but I’m not happy about the mapping nor the QR ordering possibilities .
