Hi everyone,  I have a question about the news app and its nottifications. Some of our employees do recieve notifications about guest messages and some don't. They all have the option “recieve guest messages” enabled in their profile. They all have the newest IOS (16.3.1) but some of them don't even see mews under the settings. Any idea how to fix this?  It seems very random who gets the messages and who don't..

Hi Mews community,I was wondering if any of the countries using Maestro for payments has found a solution for payments in the merchant. Currently we are loosing out to bookings to major OTA's who do accept Maestro. However, when a guests books through Mews he cannot use Maestro.Thank you for your thoughts 🙂

Hello Mewsers!I am wondering if someone can assist me with adding a purchase order number to an invoice in Mews. Certain customers require this information on their invoices, but I am unable to locate the option in Mews' online help. Thank you!

Do any MEWS community members out there have tips on best practices to get the guest to provide their own personal card to hold for any future damages if they have booked through an OTA that pays by virtual card from the OTA? Our property policies require full payment prior to check in.  We require a personal credit card to be on file in case there are damages or incidentals.  Typically the personal credit card use to make the payment will be also held on file for damages or incidentals. This works except in the case where a guest has pre-paid the OTA like Booking or Expedia, and then the OTA gives us a virtual credit card to charge for the payment.  The virtual card can only be charged for the amount of the reservation; not for any other costs for damages. We want to require a personal credit card to be on file before the guest is allowed to check in.    We are not seeing a way to automate this or make it a requirement to be c

Dear Community,When we enter a new reservation manually (taken through email/phone), we are faced with an automatic settlement failed email being sent every time we book a reservation in non-refundable, instantly, right after confirming the booking, even after taking cc details.Is the reservation sequence we are doing wrong, or are we not the only ones struggling with these automatic emails? 

Does anyone know if it is possible to set the time at which the mail is sent?We would like to send the 'after departure' only 24 hours after departure.Thank you for your message.

Hi,We are looking in to the options of adding our rooms and apartments on AirBnB. As there is no direct MEWS marketplace plugin (like the MEWS Booking.com marketplace plugin) we will have to use a channel manager. MEWS explains how to use a channel manager and which ones work with AirBnB, but that’s about it. We all know the struggle and time-consuming of manually taking Payments. As a guest you need to go to the reception when checking out, leave the key, check the bill, wait for the receptionist to insert the correct amount into the terminal, insert your card and process the payment 🙄. Within Mews, this process can be fully automated so that the guest journey becomes much quicker and more convenient for guest and reception.  If you wonder how a better adoption of MewsPay could help your property, I recommend having a look at this webinar or research. 

A travel agency has 3 reservations on the books.They paid for all 3 with a single wire transfer. I would like to issue a single invoice with the 3 Reservations, such that I can record the single payment. I do not want to split the payment into 3 parts.We preach the Golden Rule → What Happens in real life is recorded in the system Is this possible?  Or do I have to move the 3 rooms under a single bill? Thank you ;)Ethan Client will be sending a SINGLE wire for the full amount of all three reservations.

Hello Community, We noticed that a lot of hotels are saving invoices in PDF format. And I was wondering why? and also what would be the frequency of this process? should it be daily or could it be weekly or monthly?  Thanks

Hey folks, I was wondering how do you handle Mews updates in your organization?We have been experiencing quite some pressure to update training materials and reacting to Mews releases when certain features become available.We often have to:Evaluate the update - is it a technical advantage / does it require updating 3rd party integrated systems / does it break anything / do we need to change a SOP. Hi Mewsers, I was wondering if someone could help me with the automatic settlement rules.As per policy we want to charge reservations a couple of days in advance. This has been set as an automatic settlement rule for the different rate groups. We offer both RO and BB rates. If a guest books a BB rate, the breakfast product is added to the booking (packaged). In the rate group we’ve selected to charge both nights and products in order to charge the package as a whole instead of only the nights. However, with the products enabled, all items are now charged (ie. parking, museum tickets...), which we of course do not want. How are you all coping with this?

Dear Mews friends,I am having a problem with the listing of our VAT number on the invoices. The data of the customer is clearly listed including his VAT number, but our VAT number is not listed on the invoice. This data is entered correctly in settings, property, and general settings. Our own data are mentioned twice on the invoice.Below the example. 

We want to make a Special Rate that is available from April 1 - April 30th. I can make the Rate.I can make the Voucher -> And set the dates the Voucher is valid.I can make a booking engine for that voucher. I can’t seem to find where to restrict the dates that the Rate/Voucher is applicable. I’m sure this is blindingly obvious and I forgot …

Hello together,how do you feel about having a group at the community “MEWS INCIDENT” which you can sign for.If signed members getting Mews incidents and updates (same than subscribing at https://status.mews.com/ ).Additionally users so having the possibility asking questions regarding this incidents and sharing ideas how to handle until incident is resolved.As well I would like to see more topics here than currently posted via E-Mail. p.a. there is a bug at the moment where users can do changes of property settings without the right “manage property settings”.This would be something I´d love to see here and get information as this effects potentially every property world wide. What do you think? BestMariusz

Hi everybody,we recently stumbled  across the challenge that it is possible (independent of the role and rights) to overbook a property if you follow following steps:Case:Guest wants to prolong his stay for another night and the reservation team did not check the availability for the next day (the hotel is fully booked on the next day) Reservation is opened with click on manage under properties tab the departure date is prolonged for one night no warning appears that there is no availability, it only shows that the change was successfull the timeline, however, now shows that we are overbookedI do have two big problems with that:Everybody, no matter the role and rights can overbook the hotel via this way there is no warning whatsoever, that the hotel will be overbooked when prolonging this guest’s stayDoes anybody know a way how to avoid this?
