Hi everyone! 😊We’re setting up Mews Kiosk and need to choose an Android tablet that works smoothly and offers a good value for money.Does anyone have recommendations for specific models that perform well with Mews Kiosk?Also — is there an official technical recommendations list or guide from Mews for supported devices, required specs (RAM, size, OS), or anything similar?We’re looking for something reliable, responsive and easy to mount at reception.Thanks in advance!

We have a few guests who come very regularly (like one day a week). When we try to book them for a year, it is a very monotonous process to manually book 45 rooms!Is there a method we’re missing? Thanks

It is a pain to have to manually update all translations for room rates, products, and room names for each language. There should be a way to auto translate all of this like it does for other parts of the built-in booking engine. Any solutions out there?

Hallo community,unsere HSK Handys haben die App gestern via Microsoft Azure upgadeted.Seitdem sind einige Handy bzw. die App auf spanisch (2von10) obwohl in der MEWS App die Sprache auf deutsch eingestellt ist.Hat von euch jemand das selbe Problem?

Hello everyoneHas Mews resolved the room capacity issue to distinguish between adults/children an infants? When we did our system set up, we understood that we couldnt set up an age matrix relative to our guest count. Ie if we wish to have a villa with a max capacity of 4 adults but would allow up to 2 children/infants, we can’t do this in Mews as this would = 6 guests and mean 6 adults could book.Obviously accommodation providers often has bedding for smaller people like children and infants, so how can i set this up in the system?

Bonjour, Il arrive souvent que nous devons changer le nom d’une réservation sans l’annuler. Par contre, l’ancien nom reste visible dans le nom du groupe et en haut à gauche de la réservation. Cela crée de la confusion. Est-ce qu’on peut faire quelque chose?  

Looking to see if anyone has any first hand experience with using Remotelock and MEWS. Right now, we are using TTlock devices, which do not directly connect, but Remotelock is the bridge between them all.I am mostly curious about first hand experience and also ways in which you send codes to guests and how that works in with MEWS. 

Hello,Is there a way to move rooms on reservations during stay without splitting the reservation?

Has anyone modified the selection to internal notes?  In terms of if we wanted to add something like breakfast notes. 

Hallo zusammen,wir haben seit Oktober “Mews” in unseren Hotels im Einsatz. Ein Hauptgrund für die Entscheidung war, dass wir uns ein cloudbasiertes PMS zulegen wollten, das mit der Zeit geht. Insbesondere überzeugte uns die Möglichkeit, den Self-Check-out für unsere Business-Gäste (über 90%) zur Verfügung zu stellen, um Wartezeiten zu vermeiden und besseren Service zu bieten (auch aufgrund der eingeschränkten Personalverfügbarkeit). Entsprechend wurde uns diese Möglichkeit bei der ersten Präsentation verkauft.Nach einigen Monaten und zig Herausforderungen (nicht nur, was den Self-Check-out anbelangt) stehen wir nun vor der vollendeten Tatsache, dass der Kiosk-Check-out für unsere Business-Gäste nicht möglich ist (zumindest nicht auf sinnvolle Art und Weise). Es sei denn, man möchte, dass die Gäste ohne zu zahlen das Hotel verlassen. Denn genau das passiert, wenn man den Gast mit dem Firmenprofil verknüpft. Bei uns kommt es häufiger vor, dass Online-Zahlungen gesplittet werden müssen.Beispiele:1. Ein Doppelzimmer wird von 2 Personen benutzt, von denen jeder eine Rechnung braucht. Ich habe bereits jede Position einzeln angelegt, damit ich eine Gegenbuchung machen kann und 2x neu buche (wurde so in der Schulung gezeigt). Die 2 Positionen kann ich dann ja splitten. Die Zahlung aber nicht. 2. Eine Buchung für 2 Zimmer, es werden 2 Rechnungen gebraucht, es gibt aber nur eine Zahlung. Wenn bereits online bezahlt wurde habe ich in beiden Fällen nur eine Zahlung. Wie kriege ich es hin, dass jede Rechnung geschlossen werden kann und die Zahlung anteilig auf jeder Rechnung draufsteht?Für Fall wie in 1. beschrieben ist es ja schon recht umständlich, die Positionen gegenzubuchen und als 2 Positionen neu zu buchen. Hier müsste auch dringend nachgebessert werden, dass auch Rechnungspositionen anteilig verschoben werden können. (@mews: guckt mal bei HS/

Hallo, hat jemand Erfahrungen kann kann mir helfen. Wir bieten ein Businesspackage an, das aus den Bestandteilen Speisen, Getränke und Wlan besteht. Wenn Gäste geschäftlich reisen, soll statt dem Frühstück das Businesspackage aufgebucht werden. Wie lege ich das Businesspackage als Produkt an, so dass der Split im Hintergrund Korrekt ist, d.h. das Speisen, Getränke und Wlan richtig gebucht werden? Danke für eure Unterstützung

Dear Mews Community, We are completely new to the community so, first I say Hello to everyone😁I asked myself if it was possible to somehow add colors / symbols / anything else to the reservation, so I can tell them all apart at one glance in the timeline. For example : all half-board packages one color / symbol, all accommodation only, and so on. So I can see immediately how many half board menu’s we have for today without having to click on each reservation?  Thank you in advance ! Best regards,Mia

How to  set up promotional nights such as a Valentine’s special with special price and for only 2 nights?

Hi MEWS Community,We currently use non-refundable rates, but on Booking.com we still allow a certain level of flexibility:Guests can modify their stay dates prior to arrival with no penalty for the cancelled nights. The stay itself remains non-refundable, only date changes are permitted.This flexibility works very well for us commercially and helps reduce full cancellations while keeping the revenue secured.However, we’re finding it difficult to replicate this exact logic in MEWS.At the moment, MEWS treats non-refundable rates as fully rigid, without the option to allow date changes while keeping the payment non-refundable.When a guest shortens or changes their stay in MEWS, the system will: Add a cancellation fee to the cancelled dates, and Add new charges for the modified dates This results in a double impact for the guest, whereas our intended logic is that: The total stay rem

Hi, We operate a no-refund policy, issuing vouchers for any prepaid amounts on billing we would like to turn the remaining balance into a voucher through billing to be used at a later point. Has anyone got any experience in this? Is it possible? Kendall

Hey All, we are a small property with a very unique setup, 20 unique cabins and 8 motel rooms on one property, which results in 25 different room types. Managing restrictions in MEWS has been a nightmare for years, especially that we do not do a blanket property restrictions but rather room specific for various reasons Two main challenges is setting initial restrictions and then adjusting them, and also having the ability do dynamically and automatically relax restrictions when a window open up MEWS does not have a solution for this and wondering if any of you have had this issue and what kind of third party work arounds did you find?

Is there an option to mark tasks as reoccuring, let’s say you have a task that needs to be added to a reservation daily. A button that says “daily” or “every second day” or whatever, but just so you don’t have to manually create ten tasks for one booking that stays ten nights but just create it once with a specific rhythm?

In den letzten Tagen habe ich bei mehreren Benutzern ungewöhnliche Bezeichnungen in Mews beobachtet, zb eine Zimmerkategorie heißt plötzlich “Überlegenes Zimmer” statt “Superior Zimmer”.Tipp: Stellt die automatische Übersetzung in eurem Browser ab (zumindest “diese Website niemals übersetzen”).Recently I saw weird labels in non-English spoken users’ Mews, f.ex. “Superior Room” shown as whatever the literal translation in their language is. Disable automatic translation in your users’ browsers to avoid this. This is not a malfunction of Mews but a setting of the individual browser.

Hi All.We are in the process of setting up MEWS for first time use. I have a query regarding the way space configurations work.Say we have Room 1 which can be setup as both a double or a twin, how can I make these options bookable for customers? I can only seem to be able to assign one space configuration to a space at a time.
