January 1, 2027 may still feel some way off. But when e-invoicing becomes mandatory in Germany for businesses with annual turnover above €800,000, the last thing you want is a last-minute compliance project.

Another provider to select. Another connection to build. Another portal for Finance to monitor. Another process for hotel teams to learn.

From September, Mews Compliance Suite gives German properties a much simpler way to get ready.

You close the bill. Mews takes it from there.

The guest checks out. The bill is ready. Your team closes it in Mews.

That part doesn’t change.

What happens next does.

With Compliance Suite, Mews automatically creates the structured invoice, sends it through Peppol and brings the delivery status back into Mews.

No XML file to download. No invoice to send manually. No separate system to check whether it arrived.

And, importantly, you can have all of this in place well before the January 2027 deadline, instead of waiting until e-invoicing becomes another urgent project.

For properties already using XRechnung in Mews, the difference is automation: instead of downloading and sending the file manually, Compliance Suite handles the delivery and status tracking for you.

Different teams. One less problem to manage.

For Operations, billing stays familiar. Teams keep creating and closing bills in Mews, with no new invoicing workflow to learn.

For Finance and Accounting, there’s more visibility. You can see whether an e-invoice has been delivered and follow its status directly in Mews instead of chasing information across different systems.

For General Managers and owners, it means fewer external tools, integrations and processes to maintain, and a more predictable way to stay ahead of regulatory change.

And e-invoicing is only the beginning.

From November: accommodation tax, automated end to end

From November, Compliance Suite will also take care of accommodation tax operations in Germany, with Tax Automation, Tax Intelligence and Tax Reporting.

  • Tax Automation continuously maintains accurate accommodation tax rules and rates, so your teams no longer need to monitor regulatory changes or update them manually.

  • Tax Intelligence gives Finance real-time visibility into municipal accommodation taxes — including what the property collects, owes and needs to report, as well as applicable city-tax exemptions.

  • Tax Reporting provides audit-ready reporting to make reconciliation and tax submissions easier.

Accurate, continuously maintained rates also help eliminate small discrepancies between taxes calculated by Mews and OTAs. That means fewer mismatches to investigate and more transactions that can be reconciled automatically.

Together, these capabilities remove much of the day-to-day work of managing accommodation taxes while giving Finance greater confidence in what is calculated, collected and reported.

That’s the broader idea behind Compliance Suite: compliance should happen inside the system your hotel already runs on, not become another system your teams have to run.

Compliance Suite will be available in Germany from September for €25 per property, per month, giving properties time to get ready comfortably ahead of the first German e-invoicing deadline on January 1, 2027.

Hi @tristan.gibausset
that are good news. There are some question from our finance team:
Which Peppol document formats and recipients do you support, and whether Mews automatically checks whether the customer is reachable on the Peppol network before sending the document.
Furthermore is there any way we can test it in the demo?
Best regards,
Louisa
