Changing categories on a reservation

How are properties handling operationally the change of categories on an existing reservation now the ‘keep old price’ tick box has been removed? On the properties tab, requested category, we used to amend the category and price at the same time. Now the tick box is missing so we must look up the new price, write it down, change the category, go to the pricing tab and amend the rate.

Upsell via Kiosk - how to inform your teams

Hi all,We are using Kiosk in our hotels, but mostly as a digital registration card, but are now also testing upsell possibilities whilst using Kiosk (basically turning on the ‘before check-in’ promotion).But now we found that there is no information whatsoever to the team if and when a guest has selected these upgrades, causing complaints as we failed to deliver the requested product. Apparently this is per design? Payment rounding

Hi Mewsers, This is a question for properties in Belgium or the Netherlands (or pretty much every country where payment rounding is a thing). With payment rounding I mean that all payments are rounded to the nearest  5 (ie. € 7,93 becomes € 7,95 and € 13,41 becomes € 13,40).As Mews does not support payment  rounding as a feature, we have created a product for this. This to ensure that all transactions are registered correctly for accounting. However, we are wondering how other properties are coping with this legal requirement.

How to deal with dinner (product)

Hello,We have a small property lodge in Queenstown and we would like to find a way to deal with our “Trust the chef - dinner for 2” product.Ideally we would like the following things:We want the client to initiate the booking We want the client to choose the date of their dinner We want the customer to give us some compulsory information such as the number of people attending, dietary requirement, etc… We want to be able to decline or accept the client’s booking We want to be able to weekly share those information with our chefWe unfortunately have not found an efficient way to deal with this in MEWS.We are happy to offer a free stay at our property in Queenstown for any viable solution or work around 😊Thank youWayne
