How to offer a 2nd day diner?

Hey all!We want to make a 3 days/2 nights packagedeal for our guest. Including a diner on the first day and the option for a diner on the second day.Question:How do i set things up so guest get the offer to book the second diner during the online check-in and things are correctly on the productlist? Its just a temporarly thing, so a workaround with a plug-in, isnt a option. Setting things up like a late check out gives the product on the list for the 2nd day and the day of depature. Any good tips? Thanks in advance!

Making a product complimentary

Greetings to all, We have situation in which a parking as bookable service has been added to guests bill and now it needs to be canceled or better yet to be removed. However since guest has checked out, nothing can be done with it. There is no option to -remove and item- , so how to make this outstanding bill to 0 and to close it? Edit prices in the past

Good morning ya’all!I was wondering if it's possible to change room prices for past dates? Sometimes we have larger groups with negotiated rates, but when some guests (within this group) decide to extend their stay by one more day, Mews applies the rack rate instead of the agreed ‘group rate’.If I don’t notice this right away, I can no longer make adjustments for past dates (only for the current day). Travel agencies / commission

Good morning y’all!I was wondering if it’s possible, when setting up a travel agency, to calculate the commission only on amounts excluding VAT and solely on the room prices. Afterward, I want to be able to see the commission amount on the invoice. The issue is that I’m not sure how to approach this. Hallo Zusammen,auf den Rechnungen wird bei uns, sobald ein Gast Übernachtung und Frühstück gebucht hat, wird die Übernachtung in der Rechnung immer als ‘Unterkunft Paket’ bezeichnet.Manche Firmen möchten dies nur rein als Übernachtung oder Logis ausgewiesen haben ohne das Wort ‘Paket’. In solchen Fallen stornieren wir alles und buchen es manuell im Abrechnungsfenster nochmal auf dann wird es nicht als Unterkunftspaket angezeigt.Das ist natürlich bei größeren Rechnungen sehr aufwendig. Hat jemand zufällig eine andere Lösung? LGNina

Hallo!Ich möchte gestaffelte Stornobedingungen einstellen. Ähnlich, wie es bei den Zahlungen läuft, dass man z.B. x% bei Buchung, y % bis … Tage vor Anreise und dann z% bis … Tage vor Anreise.Gedacht habe ich mir, dass als Stornokosten z.B. 20 % bis 60 Tage vor Anreise, 40 % bis 30 Tage vor Anreise, 60 % bis 7 Tage vor Anreise und danach 80 % anfallen. Nur so als Beispiel.Wie kann ich das umsetzen? Ich kann nur eine Stornobedingung anlegen und der Rate zuweisen. Damit ist die Staffelung nicht möglich.Wie regelt ihr das und gibt es “Workarounds”?Vielen Dank und viele GrüßeHeike

Help Me Understand how travel agent commissons work

Traditionally, rates are considered commissionable / non-commissionable. It looks like Mews considers whether a travel agent is commissionable?I don’t understand how to manage this. I found the setting to enable the channel manager to create company profile/travel agent contracts. However in practice, I don’t understand what to do with this. I’m finding this incredibly confusing and complicated. How can I ensure commission is being calculated for commissionable rates, and that they are being paid on time?

Greece Electronic invoicing integration that sends invoices to the Greek Ministry of Finance

Hello Greek properties!We are about to open a property in Athens, and local laws requires us to submit all issued invoices to the local tax authorities in real time. Mews doesnt offer any intergration themselves for this so I am looking here if there is any advise how to best work with this?

Why can't I schedule this report export schedule?

Mews is not allowing me to schedule this export- it resets the configuration and asks for an interval. Is it the size of the export? Mews doesn’t provide any report that shows market segmentation, by day, so the only way for us to create a segment level report is using the reservation level details.

Wrong Names of profils

Hello,since this afternoon profiles are suddenly displayed with the name of the companion although we have not changed anything. Or vice versa, where profiles of the companion suddenly have the name of the main booker. We have several identical profiles with the same name that are not actually profiles. Does anyone else have this problem?Is this maybe because of the new funktion with matching simmilar profils? Kind regards Anna

I see the easiest way it would be to enhance it, would be connecting the booking engine with the channel manager (siteminder in my case), would you recommed it to me? New features in the operational environment

Good afternoon everyone,I just noticed that the new MEWS features (Ledger Beta, new timeline, etc.) are only activated in our demo environment and not in the live version. Is there a way for us to enable these features ourselves, or do I need to submit another support ticket? Setting up payment policies for city tax

Hi everyone,I need help setting up specific payment policies for a rate group. Specifically, I want to prevent the automatic charging of city tax before check-in. Instead, only the nights and other products should be charged at that time.I noticed that this can be configured in "Additional Expenses." However, I am unsure how to define city tax as "additionnal expenses" or “products” within this setup. Secret Escapes - Routing und Abrechnung

Moin zusammen, wir versuchen derzeitig unser Secret Escapes handling zu optimieren und stoßen da an einige limitierungen seitens Mews. Mich würde interessieren, wie ihr im moment Secret Escpaes handhabt, da ja die Gäste einen Anspruch auf die Rechnung haben. Unsere Idee ist es, auf der Gastrechnung lediglich die folgenden Produkte stehen zu lassen: Übernachtung Frühstück City TaxAlle anderen Produkte sollen an sich weitere geroutet werden auf ein PM (was nicht geht). Daher würde nun das Firmenprofil lediglich in Frage kommen.Anschließend müssen bei uns drei Zahlungen getätigt werden: 2 x Ghost Payment (Positiver Betrag und der gleiche Negativ Betrag zum Ausgleich) (1 auf dem Gastprofil und eins auf dem Firmenprofil) 1 x VCC Belastung (auf dem Firmenprofil)Der Gast erhält dann im Anschlus eine Rechnung mit dem Ghost Payment von uns. Allerdings lassen sich derzeitig keine Kartenzahlungen auf dem Firmenprofil realisieren. Wie handhabt ihr das ganze so? Liebe Grüße Hendrik

Buchungsbestätigung an Expedia-Collect-Gäste

Hallo!Die Buchungsbestätigung aus Mews geht ja auch an Gäste raus, die über Expedia gebucht haben. Wenn der Gast über Expedia Collect bezahlt dürfen wir keine Rechnung aushändigen und wir dürfen an sich auch nicht den Preis nennen, den wir bekommen. Der ist ja schon bereinigt um die Kommission. Wenn aber aus Mews die Buchungsbestätigung verschickt wird ist sowohl die Rate als auch der Preis genannt.Wenn ich den Preis aus der Buchungsbestätigung entferne, bekommt ihn aber auch kein anderer Gast zu sehen.Besteht die Möglichkeit, eine eigene Buchungsbestätigung an Expedia-Gäste zu verschicken? Oder kann man einen Filter anlegen, dass wenn die E-Mail-Adresse des Gastes @m.expediapartnercentral.com lautet, diese keine Bestätigung bekommen?Wie handhabt ihr das?Vielen Dank für eure Hilfe.Heike

Rate Management / "Enhanced" Rates and Vouchers tables

Booking engine visual layout options

Hi Mews community! Thrilled to be part of the community and looking forward to contribute forward in any way I can. We recently launched our website with the booking engine and all works fine. The question I have is whether I can move the booking options to be shown directly on my hotel’s landing page? Rather than having to click to open a separate booking engine page» it would be more instantous and easier for our website visitors if they can do their date selection directly on the landing page. i have seen Siteminder offering something like this and we’re hoping Mews do to I just haven’t found optionallty for this in the configurations yet. Thank you for all your input and guidance in this matter!

Whats the idea with the Online-Checkout?

So mews sends an e-mail to the guests for the online checkout. The problem we have with that, is that the checkout is not available when there are active charges for multiple persons in an reservation … in these cases an error message is shown which asks guests to solve this at the reception.Only when all active charges are on the responsible person the online-checkout is available (i think). This is rarely the case, because Mews POS and other services we use, create charges on person level. When guests have spa treatments or order something in our shop, restaurant or bar it is very likely that charges are created in a way that make the online-checkin unavailable.What happens then for us, is that the guests flood our reception because of the message on the online-checkout.Does anyone have issues with this too? How do you handle that?It would be great to get feedback from Mews on this topic, as it seems like a bit of a logical error to me. What is the idea here? What is the reason that

Not happy with MEWS support system

Hello, UPDATE: I’m happy that MEWS support team in Montreal stepped in and help us with our issues. Thank you to them. We are brand new MEWS users and I feel all alone even in this community center. How come we can’t talk or have human support? Does anyone feel the same? We feel left all alone after the Onboarding. And TOO MUCH reading too much emails coming in and not enough concrete help to set up our platform.

payment "being verified" - block closing bill

Hello everyone, I am having difficulty closing a customer invoice. the customer left without paying a small consumption. His registered card could not be charged, so we sent a payment link. The customer tried to pay 3 times with Apple Pay, and the last time with a credit card it was OK. But as a result the first 3 payments are pending and blocking me from closing my invoice even if it is zero because it says "being verified". If I want to close it as is, it gives me a negative invoice, but the customer owes me nothing since the last payment has been made. How to remove verification?
