Hi all,After advice please on the price override function on stay products. We are so happy we have this function now and are using the override to update prices rather than updating the base price, so that future reservations who already booked are not affected by the price change. Where we struggle is that on the products page there is no indication that a price has been overridden and the price override has an expiry date. Has anyone got a solution for keeping track of your price overrides on products? (other than manually tracking) and solution to be aware when the price override is expiring? Thanks, Sam

Hallo zusammen,gibt es noch weitere Unterkünfte die mit den Schnittstellen von Omniboost Probleme haben?Wir haben Mews jetzt seit 15 Monaten und die Übertragung von unserem POS läuft  immer noch nicht richtig. Seitens Mews bekomme ich leider keine Unterstützung, sondern werde immer wieder an Omniboost verwiesen.Für mich keine akzeptable Dauerlösung, dass Mews dahingehend auch nicht an Omniboost herantritt und für den Kunden einsteht.@Joanna.Svehlova 

Dear communityHas anyone experience with creating individual reports from Mews (daily reports & lists in pdf format)?Of course you can export a lot via filters and Excel, but for daily use in the departments this is not really convenience. We have already programmed some reports ourselves, but wanted to ask here how other hotels handle this. Do any MEWS community members out there have tips on best practices to get the guest to provide their own personal card to hold for any future damages if they have booked through an OTA that pays by virtual card from the OTA? Our property policies require full payment prior to check in.  We require a personal credit card to be on file in case there are damages or incidentals.  Typically the personal credit card use to make the payment will be also held on file for damages or incidentals. This works except in the case where a guest has pre-paid the OTA like Booking or Expedia, and then the OTA gives us a virtual credit card to charge for the payment.  The virtual card can only be charged for the amount of the reservation; not for any other costs for damages. We want to require a personal credit card to be on file before the guest is allowed to check in.    We are not seeing a way to automate this or make it a requirement to be c

Does anyone know if it is possible to set the time at which the mail is sent?We would like to send the 'after departure' only 24 hours after departure.Thank you for your message.

We all know the struggle and time-consuming of manually taking Payments. As a guest you need to go to the reception when checking out, leave the key, check the bill, wait for the receptionist to insert the correct amount into the terminal, insert your card and process the payment 🙄. Within Mews, this process can be fully automated so that the guest journey becomes much quicker and more convenient for guest and reception.  If you wonder how a better adoption of MewsPay could help your property, I recommend having a look at this webinar or research.

Hey folks, I was wondering how do you handle Mews updates in your organization?We have been experiencing quite some pressure to update training materials and reacting to Mews releases when certain features become available.We often have to:Evaluate the update - is it a technical advantage / does it require updating 3rd party integrated systems / does it break anything / do we need to change a SOP. Find a way to communicate this with the wider teams - adequate communication frequency v/s spam.What are your best practices controlling the flow of information?How do these align with the notifications available on Mews PMS itself?What system do you use to communicate effectively (email, workplace, newsletters)? Thanks!

Hello together,how do you feel about having a group at the community “MEWS INCIDENT” which you can sign for.If signed members getting Mews incidents and updates (same than subscribing at https://status.mews.com/ ).Additionally users so having the possibility asking questions regarding this incidents and sharing ideas how to handle until incident is resolved.As well I would like to see more topics here than currently posted via E-Mail. p.a. there is a bug at the moment where users can do changes of property settings without the right “manage property settings”.This would be something I´d love to see here and get information as this effects potentially every property world wide. What do you think? BestMariusz

Hey!Anyone else that has experienced that (especially) front desk staff are not signing in on their own accounts, and rather just use the account already logged on?I feel like an automatic sign-out after being inactive for 10-15 minutes might help (if autofill-in can be disabled). This would also be beneficial for security reasons.How have you approached this?

We have a customer profile setup called ‘House Account’ this is shared across the enterprise & when a member of the public walks by & wants to purchase a product, we use the house account to process the sale.  The House Account is now very slow to load, due to a large amount of closed bills & payments.  We were suggested to create new house accounts each month, but unwilling to do that as the database will get messy very quickly.  If the guest is staying in house with us, we are encouraging staff to look up the guest to add the sale however some sites are very busy & if the guest purchases washing powder, bottle of water etc.. it is quicker for the staff to add to the generic house account rather than getting the guest details to add to their account. Really keen to hear if you have experienced this challenge & what you’ve done to overcome it. 

I realised that the Mews booking engine does not use labels for the form (first name, last name, email address, ...). Autofill won't work properly.Most browsers support autofill and I think Mews should make use of that. It will bring more convenience for guests.I posted this as an idea in the Mews feedback forum. We are currently struggling in many countries with the fact that it is becoming increasingly difficult to find suitable personnel. We have been dealing with this issue for some time now, which is why we also rely on MEWS. Our focus is on the following points:- Modern tools make the workplace more attractive. This gives us a competitive advantage also for younger generations.- Thanks to interfaces and a high user experience, we can reduce our routine work such as entering reservations, creating accounting reports, marketing, etc. by up to 60%.- We increasingly deploy staff in different departments at the same time and follow a holocratic approach.What is your experience with the staff shortage? And what measures are you taking in hoteltech to counteract it? Do you have best practices around MEWS?

Hello everyone,I’m thrilled because this is my first post on the Mews Community !At Mercure Roeselare we are seriously considering making a switch of POS in the next months. We are currently using Lightspeed L series but I’m not happy about the mapping nor the QR ordering possibilities . As an alternative we are of course looking into Mews POS.Does someone here have some experience with it already and could give me some feedback ?Thanks in advance
