Product best practice

Hi all,We are using Kiosk in our hotels, but mostly as a digital registration card, but are now also testing upsell possibilities whilst using Kiosk (basically turning on the ‘before check-in’ promotion).But now we found that there is no information whatsoever to the team if and when a guest has selected these upgrades, causing complaints as we failed to deliver the requested product. Apparently this is per design? Hi All I was wondering if anyone had any first hand experience with any good guest communication programs that allow you to compose text messages to guests. Our current guest communication software does not allow this.Does anyone have any recommendations outside of Hijiffy?

There are some settings within the booking engine that always see an increase in conversion for direct bookings (space category pictures, rate descriptions, competitor price widget). It would be great to hear from the community on any other things that you’ve implemented that have shown a positive result in driving more direct bookings. Some examples might be:Specific information in the rate descriptions How you’ve sorted your space categories Particular types of pictures 3rd party integrationsWhat have you found to be successful to get more direct bookings?

We are looking into possibly changing the language that we use for rebates. We want to make it as simple as possible for our Front Desk staff to understand what it is they are doing when they hit the rebate button as well as educating them through the process when doing a rebate.

This tab provides an overview of the reservation details.🍍 Look for the information related to the total number of reservations or participants on the top of the right side of screen, under Reservations🍍 Voilà! Hi Mewsers, This is a question for properties in Belgium or the Netherlands (or pretty much every country where payment rounding is a thing). With payment rounding I mean that all payments are rounded to the nearest  5 (ie. € 7,93 becomes € 7,95 and € 13,41 becomes € 13,40).As Mews does not support payment  rounding as a feature, we have created a product for this. This to ensure that all transactions are registered correctly for accounting. However, we are wondering how other properties are coping with this legal requirement.

Hello together, we are using Event Temple to organize our convention / event spaces, proposals and function sheets/banquet checks.In Event Temple we can also add over night stays to bookings which are posted to MEWS.If it is a fixed contingent all is fine. We are so pleased to announce some great updates for task management in Mews! You can now attach images to tasks from Mews web and Mews mobile to help you better manage lost & found items at your property.  With this new functionality you can now take an image of a item, and link it to a reservation so that you can make sure lost items can always be related to a particular guest. Give your tasks greater clarity with the new text editor. Whether you choose to use lists, headers or add links to your tasks. The new formatting will help you stay organised and better support maintenance teams We believe that there are more opportunities to continue to develop task management and support for maintenance teams in Mews. As we continue to explore what further enhancements we can do with Mews, i am keen to hear what custom integrations you have created and what value they add to your operations. For instance, you may have integrated Mews PMS with a CRM system to manage guest information and preferences more effectively or perhaps you've linked it to a facility management system to streamline room status updates and maintenance requests.We've built a membership system utilising Mulesoft which syncs records with Salesforce creating an enterprise level view of members documenting their reservations/spend/habits/preferences across the group. We've utilised Zapier to automate a number of tasks: Importing of reservations balances Send SMS's based on check-in/check-out dates & times Notify partners of reservations, for services such as transfers & tours Creating agency vouchers for reservations made when a TA contract is applied Apply auto restrictions closeouts at certain times, for recpetions

Hi all,After advice please on the price override function on stay products. We are so happy we have this function now and are using the override to update prices rather than updating the base price, so that future reservations who already booked are not affected by the price change. Where we struggle is that on the products page there is no indication that a price has been overridden and the price override has an expiry date. Has anyone got a solution for keeping track of your price overrides on products? (other than manually tracking) and solution to be aware when the price override is expiring? Thanks, Sam

Hallo zusammen,gibt es noch weitere Unterkünfte die mit den Schnittstellen von Omniboost Probleme haben?Wir haben Mews jetzt seit 15 Monaten und die Übertragung von unserem POS läuft  immer noch nicht richtig. Seitens Mews bekomme ich leider keine Unterstützung, sondern werde immer wieder an Omniboost verwiesen.Für mich keine akzeptable Dauerlösung, dass Mews dahingehend auch nicht an Omniboost herantritt und für den Kunden [email protected] 

Dear communityHas anyone experience with creating individual reports from Mews (daily reports & lists in pdf format)?Of course you can export a lot via filters and Excel, but for daily use in the departments this is not really convenience. We have already programmed some reports ourselves, but wanted to ask here how other hotels handle this.
