Looking for a digital guest registration signature solution (without printing)

Hi everyone,I'm trying to find a simple and effective way to digitally collect guest signatures for registration cards using a tablet or phone, without having to print and scan the documents.Currently, Mews sends the online check-in, and while many guests complete it, not all do. So when they arrive at reception, we scan their ID using the Mews scanner, which works great — but we quickly hit a wall:➡️ There’s no way to collect a digital signature.➡️ The only option is to print the registration card and scan it again with the signature.Honestly, I’m surprised that Mews hasn’t built a simple solution for this yet.And for those about to say "Mews Kiosk" — I get it, but not all hotels can afford the upgrade to that level. What would be great is something similar to the ID scanner tool, which opens the camera — but in this case, a feature that activates a signature pad on a tablet or the Mews terminal, where the guest can sign with their finger.Does anyone know of a workaround or third-part

Urgent Feature Request – Breakfast Split on Invoice

Dear Amazing Mews Team,We’ve been using Mews for the past four years. Over time, we’ve seen your CEO delivering inspiring keynotes, speaking about how Mews saves both time and money. Unfortunately, our experience doesn’t always match these promises — and it feels like someone is not telling the full truth.Right now, I urgently need a development to respond to a guest request — or perhaps your CEO can personally explain to the guest why your PMS is not functioning properly or efficiently in this case.Here is the situation:We need to split the breakfast charges. One breakfast is covered by the guest’s company, and the second breakfast (for the accompanying person) is to be paid directly by the guest. The guest has requested a separate invoice showing this breakdown.How can I do this in Mews?You already allow this kind of separation in the “Kids” section — so why can’t we apply the same logic here? Who was supposed to develop this feature in the past four years?I urgently need a solution

Good morning ☀️,I hope you're doing well!We're currently experiencing a recurring issue with Expedia Direct Connect and wanted to check if others are noticing the same: Specifically, we're seeing a discrepancy of €0.01 💶 between the booked rate and the amount charged via the Virtual Credit Card (VCC) 💳 provided by Expedia.This happens quite frequently and seems to be related to either rounding differences 🧮, tax or fee handling 💼, or possibly even currency conversion logic 🔄, even when the transactions are in EUR.Have you observed similar mismatches on your end? 🤔 If so, how are you handling or reconciling them in your system?Would really appreciate any insights or shared experiences 🙏

Hallo, wir nutzen XENIA als POS in unserem Restaurant.Die Umsätze werden auch alle nach MEWS übertragen, nur die externen Zahlungen nicht.Hat jemand das gleiche Problem?Der MEWS Support konnte mir nicht wirklich weiterhelfen und Xenia sagt auf ihrer Seite ist alles richtig eingestellt.Ich freue mich auf eure Antworten :)Liebe Grüße,Friederike

Urgent Payment Handling Issue – Request for Immediate Support

Dear Amazing Mews Team,We have been using Mews for the past four years and have always appreciated the ambition and innovation your company promotes. We regularly see your CEO highlighting how Mews saves time and money, and how it improves operational efficiency.Unfortunately, today we are facing a situation that contradicts those claims, and it is seriously impacting our guest experience.We urgently need a solution to a payment-related issue. A guest has requested a detailed breakdown of payments linked to his reservation. Specifically, for the stay from June 17th to 19th, we need to allocate and split the amount of CHF 905.05 by credit card, so it matches the invoice exactly. As you can see, several prepayments have already been made, but we cannot process them in the way the guest requires.This is a basic PMS function, and it’s very frustrating not to be able to fulfill such a standard request. Hallo zusammen,vielleicht könnt ihr uns hier schnell helfen.Wir haben immer wieder das Problem bei Frühanreisen, dass diese nur einchecken können wenn die Early Check.in Gebühr von 30 EUR akzeptiert wird, dies wollen wir aber nicht immer.Wir haben dieses Produkt bereits auf nicht mehr buchbar von Gästen und Mitarbeitern gesetzt, die Frage kommt aber immer noch… speziell vor 10 Uhr.Danke für die Hilfe.

Wallet Keys

Hi,We just started using digital keys with our Salto locks. It is awesome… We do however anticipate the Wallet Keys to be the real game changer.When it becomes available we will be leaning into it hard and pushing the the tech to our guests through our website, SM, email etc. and hopefully it will be the preffered way of unlocking our doors. Would it be possible to get some more info about what the requirements will be to make use of Apple/Google Wallet keys, and when it becomes available? The next months, this year, next year, 2027? Is the beta program already started? We would love to be a pilot.Thank you!

Debitor vs. Zahlung

Hallo zusammen, wir stellen oft Rechnungen als Debitor aus, diese werden seit der Umstellung auf MEWS teils über den BEzahlbutton auf der Rechnung beglichen. Nun ist die Frage ob MEWS im HIntergrund den Debitor storniert und dies auf die entsprechende Zahlungsart umbucht oder ist hier eine manuelle Buchung notwendig. Sonst haben wir 2 Zahlungen aber nur eine Leistung.Danke für euren Input.

Booking.com blocking emails - Before start Online check-in

Is anyone else facing problems with sending before start/before start reminders to booking.com guest?We are pushing very hard to get our guest so check-in online, however I see that booking.com is not accually forwarding these emails to the guest. In MEWS it shows as sendt.  I have tried to make a booking myself at booking.com and it is not working. I tried to remove the Sigin box, in the email templets, with just a link however it is still not working. Funny thing is that when I send the bill it has acually worked.  Does anyone know how to fix this?

Schedule a payment

Hi all,We have setup our automated payment policies to charge guest cards, if a card declines we must mark the card invalid on the OTA and then 24hours later we can try the charge again and cancel the reservation. We would love to be able to manually schedule a 2nd payment attempt instead of manually trying the card again. If the card is then charged no further action is needed and we have eliminated the need to make additional manual checks.Anyone found a way to do this?

Hello dear Mews Community! We have changed our tax advisor. Until now, we worked with a physical folder, and 7 pages of the Mews accounting report were manually recorded. Now, we are transitioning to a digital exchange with a digitally equipped tax advisor. Are there any comparable hotels that digitally transfer their Mews accounting reports to their tax advisor? If so, what experiences have you had, and how do you work with Excel exports or connections from Mews to DATEV Unternehmen Online via OmniBoost? I would appreciate specific feedback.
