Offering 1 night free for every 6 nights booked
Hi, We are offering a deal for a limited time, the deal is each person that books 6 nights get 1 night free. I am trying to figure out how to make this possible in MEWS. Someone books 6 nights and then they receive a voucher for 1 night free. Otherwise you’re going to get people that book 3 nights that can also get 1 night free. Can someone help me with this? I am stuck...
How can I route Accomodation Items to a seperate bill automatically?
We would like to automatically route all accomodation items to one Bill, and then all on-site adds to a 2nd Bill.This helps us for a few internal accounting reasons, and is helpful to guests.Is there a way to set a rule to do this automatically? I feel there should be, only coming up short right now :)Thanks!
Hi All, We are looking for some good mobile first housekeeping software to implement with Mews. The Functionality in mews is to limiting for us and is not clear enough on the housekeepers side. One of the most important features is the realtime room/space status in mews, so once a room is marked as clean by a housekeeper it should instantly update the space status to clean or inspected in Mews. Also, housekeepers should see all booked products and note’s clearly, not hidden away somewhere and what would be even better if they would get a “task list” per room with everything that should be done extra like adding rose petals or a bottle of champagne. After some research I found Flexkeeper and it looks really appealing with all the features we would like to see. But I was wondering if there is anybody here who has experience with Flexkeeper or perhaps any other tool that works for them.
Access chat with guest via reservation
Hi smart people,do you know a way how to access a chat with a guest via reservation? Is there some option to activate that shows the chat history in a reservation or guest profile similar to the notes?Sometimes we receive information that would be great to access again via reservation overview rather than having to search for this one chat with this one guest.I know how to access the reservation that is linked to a chat, however, not the other way around. Online Check-in without cc
Hey all We want to change the settings for the online Check-in via Mews connector.Does anyone have an idea where we can change the settings? All our rooms are paid before guest arrivals. Therefore we do not want to ask again for their cc within the online check-in. Can somebody help and give me a reply where i have to change the setting? Looking forward to some help
Hi Mews community,I was wondering if any of the countries using Maestro for payments has found a solution for payments in the merchant. Currently we are loosing out to bookings to major OTA's who do accept Maestro. However, when a guests books through Mews he cannot use Maestro.Thank you for your thoughts 🙂
Event scheduler on Mews
Heyo,Does anyone have a way to use an event calendar inside of Mews rather than external apps/programs?At the Arcade Hotel, we host quite a few events, and have been using tasks to inform our staff. Nothing shows up on timeline, nothing shows up in notifications, only if they check tasks (which they do). What is everyone else using?Dan
Automatic settlement failed email when manual reservation
Dear Community,When we enter a new reservation manually (taken through email/phone), we are faced with an automatic settlement failed email being sent every time we book a reservation in non-refundable, instantly, right after confirming the booking, even after taking cc details.Is the reservation sequence we are doing wrong, or are we not the only ones struggling with these automatic emails?
What channel manager do you use to connect your rooms to AirBnB?
Hi,We are looking in to the options of adding our rooms and apartments on AirBnB. As there is no direct MEWS marketplace plugin (like the MEWS Booking.com marketplace plugin) we will have to use a channel manager. MEWS explains how to use a channel manager and which ones work with AirBnB, but that’s about it. No advice or feature list.So, I am looking at the channel managers (with Mews marketplace plugins) that should be able to do the job:Not Promoted by AirBnB, but these say they have AIrBnB support (so I’m not sure what the limitations are)Siteminder CubilisPromoted by AirBnB (and has MEWS marketplace plugin)Roomcloud Rentals United Yieldplanet STAAHI would like the following to work:Real time update of availability Tariffs and restrictions centrally managed in MEWS and pushed via channel manager to AirBnB Ability to chat with AirBnB guests via MEWS chat (like Booking.com Marketplace plugin does) So, I would really appreciate any feedback on these channel managers. Can I have Multiple Reservations on one invoice?
A travel agency has 3 reservations on the books.They paid for all 3 with a single wire transfer. I would like to issue a single invoice with the 3 Reservations, such that I can record the single payment. I do not want to split the payment into 3 parts.We preach the Golden Rule → What Happens in real life is recorded in the system Is this possible? Or do I have to move the 3 rooms under a single bill? Automatic Settlement - only charge certain products
Hi Mewsers, I was wondering if someone could help me with the automatic settlement rules.As per policy we want to charge reservations a couple of days in advance. This has been set as an automatic settlement rule for the different rate groups. We offer both RO and BB rates. If a guest books a BB rate, the breakfast product is added to the booking (packaged). In the rate group we’ve selected to charge both nights and products in order to charge the package as a whole instead of only the nights. However, with the products enabled, all items are now charged (ie. parking, museum tickets...), which we of course do not want. How are you all coping with this?
End of day time
Hi Community, we do face some challenges with the end of the day time at midnight, and I’d like to check in with you if you have some best practices which might work out. In theory, we have no issues with the fact of closing the day at midnight, however, at a certain point we face operational issues to reconcile revenues with the POS system and BOF (Back office finance exports) If we would only consider MEWS its less of a problem, but with Export files for Finance and POS integrations, this makes all more complicated.Cash drops are one example. The BOF exports capture all cash drops till midnight, if the outlets are closing late in the night, the cash drop which is reported in the export file does not reconcile with the physical cash drop, as this will be posted on the next day. The next day it balances out, but we do state a daily over/shortage on cash reporting, which Auditors do not accept. At the month's end, we also missed revenue posted after midnight which belongs to the month b
Age-based breakfast prices with the Booking.com integration
We are using the Mews-Booking.com integration from the marketplace. The Mews support told me, that age-based breakfast prices are supported by their integration. I know how to set up everything in Mews, but I am not sure on how to do in in the Booking.com Extranet.The Booking.com support was unfortunately not very helpful so far. Is there anyone here who has successfully set up age-based breakfasts between Booking.com and Mews? What is your setup in Booking.com and does it map and display (children) breakfast prices correctly in Mews?
Mews terminal receipts
We want to configure the printing options of our Mews Terminal, so it only prints the customers receipt. A couple of weeks ago our management decided it was not necesary printing the merchant’s receipt anymorte and we always get up having a copy at the end. Is there a way we can customize that? thanks in advance.
VAT number on invoice.
Dear Mews friends,I am having a problem with the listing of our VAT number on the invoices. The data of the customer is clearly listed including his VAT number, but our VAT number is not listed on the invoice. This data is entered correctly in settings, property, and general settings. Our own data are mentioned twice on the invoice.Below the example.

Hoe doen jullie dit en wat voor formulier gebruiken jullie hiervoor?Ik begrijp dat we de mail templates hiervoor kunnen gebruiken, maar ik weet niet zo goed wat voor formulier wij hiervoor het beste kunnen gebruiken? Ik weet dat Mews hun eigen survey heeft, kunnen wij hier ook gebruik van maken en aanpassen naar onze eigen wensen?
