Namen bei Gruppenbuchungen fliegen raus

Habt ihr auch das Problem, dass die Namen der anreisenden Gäste bei Gruppenbuchungen einfach plötzlich weg sind?Ich habe bereits ein Ticket aufgemacht, aber wir kommen da nicht weiter.Wenn ich die einzelnen Namen nach der Buchung den Zimmern einer Gruppenbuchung zuordne, werden teilweise (und für mich nach keinem ersichtlichen Schema) einfach einzelne anreisende Personen entfernt. Oder ein Datensatz wird überschrieben, obwohl beide Personen eines Zimmers angelegt waren und ordentlich eingecheckt haben.Es ist grade etwas durcheinander und bedarf etwas Nacharbeit.Es fällt spätestens dann auf, wenn ich die Statistik für das Statistische Landesamt ziehe und nicht zugeordnete Einträge habe. Das sind dann z.B. Doppelzimmer, bei denen nur ein Gast eingetragen ist, obwohl für 2 gebucht ist. Die Gäste haben beim Check-in auch den Meldeschein am Kiosk komplett ausgefüllt, Daten sind also da. Werden nur nach dem Check-in, warum auch immer, entfernt. Aufgefallen ist das bei Gruppenbuchungen oder B

Handling Deposit Invoicing

HI All,Trying to figure out the best solution for handling deposit invoicing (tax to be accounted on time of payment) and how to follow up on the payments. The Deposit invoices are always paid with bank transfer, not credit cards. Does anyone have good advises from Finland how you are handling these?Love to hear some ideas how to go around these!

Paypal-Zahlungen

Hallo zusammen!Hat jemand eine Idee, wie ich es hinbekommen kann, dass Gäste, die über unsere Website gebucht und per Paypal bezahlt haben, nicht diese Mail bekommen, dass keine Zahlkarte verknüpft ist? Kann man diese Mail ausstellen? ich finde nur, wo ich die anderen Mails deaktivieren kann, aber diese Mail ist nicht dabei.Ich bekomme immer wieder Anrufe von Gästen, die fragen, warum sie trotz Paypal-Zahlung eine Kreditkarte angeben sollen. Viele haben Bedenken, dass ihre Buchung jetzt nicht akzeptiert wird.Leider wird die Paypal-Zahlung in Mews ja auch nicht als Zahlung direkt mitverbucht, wie das bei der Kreditkarte der Fall ist. Ich hoffe, das kommt noch in nächster Zeit.Wie geht ihr damit um? Gibt es einen “Workaround”?Viele GrüßeHeike

probems with the new email templates for guest emails

We updated all our guest email templates yesterday. We first deleted all the old ones and then created new ones. Everything looks good and polished in MEWS. When I send a test email to myself, the confirmation is messed up and contains several errors. Are other users experiencing this issue?

Email Templates for bookers or for more then one room

Hi together,as nice as the new tool for the email templates is. How do I manage to display the services together with the prices per room in the email templates? Especially with confirmations for bookers and for several rooms, the email looks very bad. The services are listed per room and the prices are posted below all rooms and they are not linked to the rooms.The room rate is displayed as the average rate for all rooms. This is completely pointless.By the way, I do not unterstand, why the room rate is displayed as an average rate, however the services, like breakfast and parking are listed everey single day. Normaly this extras doesn´t change the price during a stay. Otherwise, a change of the roomrate is common.However, do you have a solution for displaying the prices per room?That would be nice. Best regardsLeif

Different e-mail address for Invoices

Hi All,I have a question. Our main e-mail address is booking@. We need to change this for our invoices.The e-mail address can’t be booking, it needs to be something else like invoice@. Does anyone know if this is possible to change or has had a simular situation?Thanks so muchTamara

Rate management / pricing - made difficult (?)

What is going on with the rate management? Until yesterday I could simply select a date, a window would open up, and I could override the price.Now I first have to select the date, then a window opens with the pricing details, then I have to select ‘edit’, then I have to select the date, and only then can I change the price (‘Base price (incl. tax)’*)Is this something temporary?

Right Report for Management Fee Calculation

Dear Community!I'm looking for some help in calculating hotel's management fees. The fee is based on a percentage of total revenue, but I'm struggling to find a single, reliable report in Mews that gives me the correct final revenue figure.The most logical reports - accounting & Manager - often show differences in the total revenue.Can someone please point me to the specific report you use for this?Any advice on filters or best practices would be a huge help.Additionally, if someone can help me understanding the differences in total revenues of both reports would be awesome. Thanks in advance for your assistance! ​@Mews Community Team ;)

Hello Mews Community,I recently came across the feature "A Smarter Way to Price for the Seasons in Mews Operations," which was launched on 04/07/2025. We are interested in trying out this feature; however, we noticed that the screen we have doesn't match the one shown in the Mews explanation.Could someone please clarify whether this feature still needs to be implemented on our account, or is it already active for all accounts? facturation à payer et à rembourser

Bonjour, nous avons mews depuis peu, Nous sommes dans une impasse. Quand je suis dans la factuation, il arrive parfois que j’ai deux factures ouvertes, une à payer et une à rembourser, mais je ne veux pas rembourser. Exemple, il avait réservé pour deux nuits, je l’ai fait payer à l’arrivée mais il raccourcit son séjours d’une nuit. Je lui fait donc un ajustement sur sa facture, et quand j’arrive à la facturation, mews veut que je fasse un remboursement et un paiement du même montant, mais le client à déjà payé la totalité à l’arrivée et été remboursé d’une nuité .  pouvez vous m’aider avec cela ??car tant que la facture n’est pas à zéro je ne peux pas effectuer le départ et comme le motel est plein je voudrais bien récupèrer ces chambres là!

Hallo, wir bräuchten in der Buchungsstrecke eine Auswahl für Hunde (so wie Erwachsene plus Kind, ergänzend plus Hund) da wir spezielle Zimmer nur für Gäste mit Hunde anbieten möchten. Gibt es hierzu schon Erfahrungen wie man dies bei Mews umsetzen kann? BZW. kommt diese Ergänzung in der Buchungsstrecke noch?Besten Dank.

Credit Card Guarantee for Booking.com reservations

Hi everyoneI was wondering if you could help me with the following issue. Some of the hotels in our group are unstaffed during the night. For Booking.com guests, we work exclusively with VCCs. However, we’ve noticed that some guests check in outside of reception hours, consume extras on-site (such as minibar), and never show up for check-out — leaving their bill unpaid.Through online check-in, we can encourage guests to add a credit card in advance and follow this up manually.Ideally, it would be great if MEWS allowed us to send an “Add credit card request”, similar to a payment request but without a specific amount. This way, the reception team could send this for each reservation and follow up more easily.What are your thoughts on this? Or any other suggestions to solve this operational challenge?

Gebühren für Mews Payments - IST-Kosten wo ersichtlich?

Hallo Mewser, unser erster Monat mit Mews ist nun rum. Unser Steuerbüro hat den ersten Export über Datev erhalten. Da die Gebühren für das Mews Payment vom Umsatz abgezogen werden, gibt es gerade noch eine Diskrepanz. Meine Frage: Wo finde ich in Mews eine klare Aufstellung, welche Gebühren genau von den Zahlungen unserer Gäste einbehalten wurden? Name display in multi-room booking confirmations

Hi everyone,has anyone noticed a change since the update in early/mid-June? I believe this coincided with the go-live of the mail template editor.Previously, when we changed the “Reservation Owner,” the confirmation email sent to the booker would list the individual guest names for each booking number. Unfortunately, this no longer happens.Now, the confirmation only shows the booker’s name at the top of the message, with no guest names shown for the individual reservations. For multi-room bookings, this is understandably quite confusing for both us and the guests.Overall, the default confirmation template for the booker (which we still use) is noticeably less effective than it was before the update.We have tried editing the standard template to fix this, but so far without real success.We managed to show the bookers name for all reservations, but thats not really helpful either.Has anyone found a solution or workaround for this? Are we doing something wrong?Any help would be greatly ap

Restrictions

Hello everybody, Is there any way to set up a restriction so that a certain rate is only bookable on specific days? Right now, I can only manage it by closing off days, with the default being that the rate is always open. For example, we have a Christmas package that should only be available on the Christmas days and not at any other time. At the moment, I have to close it for the entire year (and the year after) instead of simply being able to say that it should only be open during Christmas. That means I need to create two restrictions for one rate. With multiple rates, this results in a lot of restrictions and little overview. How do you handle this?

Hallo zusammen,wie handhabt ihr das Thema No-Shows und Stornierungen?Unser aktueller Ansatz lautet:Keine Umsatzsteuer bei Stornierungen & No-Shows 🚫💶 Grundsatz: Wenn ein Gast ein Zimmer reserviert und nach Ablauf der kostenfreien Stornierungsfrist storniert, liegt kein Leistungsaustausch vor. Stattdessen handelt es sich um echten Schadenersatz, der nicht umsatzsteuerbar ist. Stornorechnungen 🧾 → Beim Erstellen unbedingt darauf achten, keine Umsatzsteuer auszuweisen. No-Show-Rechnungen 🛑 → Auch hier findet kein Leistungsaustausch statt. Daher gilt das Gleiche: ohne Umsatzsteuer fakturieren. ✅ Merksatz: Schadenersatz ≠ UmsatzsteuerpflichtAllerdings verrechnet MEWS in der Praxis bei No-Shows automatisch 10 % USt. wenn wir dies automatisch über das System verrechnen.
