Hallo zusammen, ich habe mal wieder eine Frage.Ist es möglich, eine Garage als Raum zu erstellen? Wenn ja, wie genau muss das eingegeben werden? Mein Ziel ist es, dass ein Gast, der einen Parkplatz oder eine Garage gebucht hat, auch Zugang zu dieser bekommt, wenn er eincheckt.Bisher habe ich das immer über Salto separat gemacht, aber kann man das auch direkt über Mews abwickeln? Ich hatte mir vorgestellt, einen Raum zu erstellen, den Aufenthalttyp auf "Parkplatz" zu setzen und die Kapazität beispielsweise auf 20 festzulegen.Macht jemand das überhaupt ? Wie habt ihr Garage gelöst ( schranke / tore usw ) 

Wie kann man das Rechnungsformular anpassen?#wenn ich rechnungen die per Überweisung bezahlt werden mit dem Zahlungsziel 14 Tag habe ich mit den Empfängern Problme, da die Rechnung unüberichtlich gestellt und einen Nullbetrag für bezahlt ausweist.

Could somebody please confirm if Mews is working on a solution to enable invoice sending via PEPPOL by the end of this year? Because on the search i could ot find anything about this. Best regards Robin 

We use the wireless terminal at the Front Desk, and our Wi-Fi is fast. It works very well overall, but there is a delay between when you charge the guest and when the payment is posted to the bill.Sometimes the guest becomes unsure and asks us questions like: “What does it say here?” Often the terminal displays messages such as: Enter code Multi currency Various messages about why the transaction didn’t go through Card not read correctly It would be great if the terminal’s status messages were also shown in the Mews UI, so that staff could follow the payment status and assist the guest when they ask questions on what steps to take.Just like you currently see a short confirmation in the upper right corner when a payment has been completed, it would be helpful to also see the status before the payment is finalized. Is there a setting for this? Does anyone know?

Hi Mews community!How do you set several rooms as Out of order, in one shot?For the moment we can only set one room by one and it can be a really long setting! 

As for the guest journey, we have included the SMS add-on. It works well; however, we’ve noticed that for guests who don’t have an email address but only a phone number, no additional SMS is sent. We’re wondering if there’s a setting that allows the system to send the SMS in such cases — so that guests without an email address but with a phone number still receive the message. This would help encourage them to use the online check-in even when we don’t have their email.

How to integrate these platforms with Mews for online bookings, front‑desk payments, and invoicing. The technical setup needed, including APIs, payment links, or POS options. Recommendations for managing settlements, accounting, and compliance in the U.S. My goal is to provide guests with a seamless crypto payment option while ensuring smooth operations and proper reporting in Mews.

We want our guest to be able to use the guest portal to chat/message feature and modify their reservation dates if needed, but not check in or out online is there a way to disable online check in and out?

Hello — we’d like to test payment automation for card pre-authorization. How does this work for hotels that are already using it? My main concern is that pre-authorizations might be attempted on virtual cards or travel-agency cards. Has anyone had success with this? Thanks! 🌼

In the **Match and Merge** function for guest profiles, we often get suggestions to merge profiles based on phone numbers — but in many cases, the phone number in the guest profile actually belongs to the **travel agency**, not the guest.This means the profiles often do **not** belong to the same guest, so we usually choose **“Keep separate.”**Would it be possible to adjust the matching algorithm so that it **ignores certain phone numbers** (specifically those belonging to travel agencies) when matching guest profiles?I’m also curious if other countries are experiencing the same issue — that **bookings from TA's via Amadeus** always lack the guest’s email and use the **travel agency’s phone number** instead of the guest’s.I’d like to check if this problem is local or more widespread. We have multiple integrations with tour operators, including Booking.com. With some of these partners, we settle commissions. Mews currently offers a global commission calculation, but this setup is insufficient for our Finance department.For example, if the commission is 15% and the hotel price (including breakfast but excluding city tax) is €100 on Booking.com, is there a way to record €15 as commission and €85 as accommodation & breakfast?If so, could you please advise how we can configure this in Mews?It’s important that the guest does not see the split between the commission and the accommodation.Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello!We have recently started using the Integration to program keycards directly from MEWS. We are using version 1.1.36.0 of the Dialock KeyWriter.Unfortunately, seemingly at random, some of the programmed keys are not working i.e. the command is sent to the encoder and one card works while another card does not even though both keys were programmed together by the same command coming from MEWS.We are already in contact with Häfele support and have opened tickets with MEWS previously.We are in the process of trying to figure out the pattern and analyzing the error codes the locks/keys are producing.I know this is a shot in the dark and probably a pretty niche issue but it can’t hurt to ask and try using all possible avenues for finding a solution.Does anyone have experience in the setup of the integration or has anyone here run into this issue and was able to resolve it? If so we would be immensly grateful for any support or suggestions.Thank you very much

At my property, we have poolside cabanas we rent and they have been set up as Daily rentals. However, Friday through Sunday, there are two day part rental options, one for 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM and another for 4:30 PM - 9:00 PM (when we have poolside entertainment on the pool deck).I set them up in early 2024 as three different bookable services, one for Monday through Thursday with one day part, 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM, one for Friday through Sunday, 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM, and one for Friday through Sunday, 4:30 PM - 9:00 PM, doing so because I believed at the time it would not be possible to make the three different options bookable through a single bookable service.Now, more than a year later, have I overcomplicated this and is it possible for me to make this a single bookable service? In the new email template system:Is there a way to filter content blocks depending on the arrival date?It would be great to i.e. show offers for a ski pass only for reservations in the winter season, or ebike offers in the summer season. 

We have some bookings under dedicated rate codes where we need to stay alert and take action when a reservation comes through those channels.Question: Does anyone know if it’s possible to set up a rate code so that a Task is automatically generated when a booking is created?Someone mentioned adding a “phony” bookable item that’s linked to a task — Linked to the ratecode that way, a task would be created for us to act on.Does anyone know if that works and how? When guests use these services, for instance by having their card stored in their mobile or watch, the card cannot be reactivated for payment of food or other items. This happens because the technology behind it has created a virtual card number (different from the guest’s real one). I’m wondering if anyone knows a workaround? Thanks!

We would like to include more booking-specific details in the email sent after check-in — specifically the Mews Booking Number. This is important because guests need this number to generate a new key at the kiosk if they lose their original one. However, I can’t find where to access existing fields containing data from the booking? Where is it hidden 😅👍

When charging Secret Escapes Virtual cards in Mews, it's sending the guest a payment successful email, but does not for our other OTA virtual cards?

Hi everyoneWe’re running into a tracking and consent issue that I imagine others might have faced too — and I’d love to hear how you’ve solved it.First I’d like to add that the MEWS Booking Engine have been configured with the GTM-ID, and the GTM has been configured based on the documentation from MEWS. No issue here - everything works and it’s all good. The situation:Our main websites (www.steelhousecopenhagen.com and www.nexthousecopenhagen.com) uses Cookie Information as our CMP, and many visitors accept cookies there.However, when users move to the end of the MEWS Booking Engine flow, they are forwarded to the domain app.mews.com for payment and confirmation. Here they are prompted to accept cookies again, witch is very easy to over look and not do!Our guess is, that most visitors don’t accept cookies on app.mews.com, which means our purchase event for Google Analytics, Google Ads and Meta never fires — since consent isn’t granted on the MEWS domain. What we’ve found so far: Consen
