Hi there, As admin, I want to re-activate a user currently listed as ‘inactive’. When selecting ‘edit details’, I see the status is listed as ‘inactive’, but there is no option for me to re-activate.Any help in this respect would be welcome.Thank you!

Hello,If you have a certain age restriction to be allowed to stay in certain rooms, how are you restricting this with the Mews booking engine? For example, we have one room type which cannot accommodate children under 5years. The only workaround we found is to write this in the room description, however guests still see the option to add how many children/infants to their reservation so doesn’t really solve the problem. We also have dormitory rooms which are adult only, but again they are offered child/infant as these are allowed in other room categories. Thanks, 

Hi, I was wondering if there is a way to revert the dashboard/ home screen back to before the latest update. I’ve had increasingly negative feedback from my team that it is aesthetically worse and adds not benefit to their daily operations. They have also noted that reservations used to span x5 across, this has been restricted to x4 which restricts the information they are able to review at a time. Thinner rings/donuts are less eye-catching now that they are thin, this is unhelpful when they are in a high demand period and need information quickly. On their behalf, I thought I would just check and see if it would any way to undo the latest MEWS update.Kind regards :)

Hi Community,We work with a large number of groups in many different formats: call-off allotments, small 5-person groups, regular guests, apprentice days with fixed contingents and name lists, weddings, and more.For many of these, we receive name lists directly. In some cases, clients book multiple rooms for various dates throughout the year and request a short and detailed email summarizing what they’ve booked.Up until now, they've been receiving very long emails listing all services in detail – is there a better way to do this?

Good morning 😊 Small question about the visualised occupancy which one can find on the dashboard / home screen.  Whilst I understand the blue and black lines giving an idea about the check-ins and check-outs, is it possible to remove these lines? Habt ihr auch das Problem, dass die Namen der anreisenden Gäste bei Gruppenbuchungen einfach plötzlich weg sind?Ich habe bereits ein Ticket aufgemacht, aber wir kommen da nicht weiter.Wenn ich die einzelnen Namen nach der Buchung den Zimmern einer Gruppenbuchung zuordne, werden teilweise (und für mich nach keinem ersichtlichen Schema) einfach einzelne anreisende Personen entfernt. Oder ein Datensatz wird überschrieben, obwohl beide Personen eines Zimmers angelegt waren und ordentlich eingecheckt haben.Es ist grade etwas durcheinander und bedarf etwas Nacharbeit.Es fällt spätestens dann auf, wenn ich die Statistik für das Statistische Landesamt ziehe und nicht zugeordnete Einträge habe. Das sind dann z.B. Doppelzimmer, bei denen nur ein Gast eingetragen ist, obwohl für 2 gebucht ist. Die Gäste haben beim Check-in auch den Meldeschein am Kiosk komplett ausgefüllt, Daten sind also da. Hi, I’m trying to figure out how to correct an error in a rate on a closed bill. For example, a guest has checked out, and the rate posted was 10,000 x 4 nights. This is wrong, and we need to adjust this off. When I’m adjusting with an additional service in the same accounting category (STR Room Rental), it is not showing as an adjustment to the Room revenue, it’s showing as an adjustment to the product revenue.This is affecting our reporting and other integrations like the RMS. Are we doing something wrong, is something configured incorrectly, or is this working as intended?  

Hi all,I’m looking at the Bill management settings (screenshot attached). There’s an option “Allow modifying closed bills” which can be toggled on/off.My question is:If this option is turned off, does it apply universally to all users including Admins, or do certain roles (like Admin or higher-privileged roles) still retain the ability to edit closed invoices regardless of this setting?I’d like to clarify whether this is a strict platform-wide restriction, or if Admins can override it.Thanks in advance for any clarification!

Here is the context:An agency made an optional reservation for a customer.The customer received the automatic optional reservation reminder email, which allowed them to see the price of their reservation and cancel it themselves via the Mews Guest Portal link, which is something we definitely do not want.According to MEWS documentation:The recipient of the email is always the owner of the reservation (the main guest), and if the main guest's email address is not provided, the email is sent to the organizer (the agency).In our case, our policy is to record all customer emails as soon as we receive them, so the problem occurs systematically for agency customers and certain groups.The automatic reminder email is very useful for tracking reservations, but we would like to limit its sending to certain types of customers, for example:

Hi, I need to overbook my property over a couple of dates. Specifically, I need to add additional inventory to a group block over sold out dates, and the system will not let me do so. How do I get around this?  

We received a request at our hotel from a guest who would like to put together a gift package for his staff members.It concerns a certain number of staff members to whom he would like to give credit for two overnight stays + breakfast + 1 dinner + welcome drink. Is there an easy way to duplicate e-mail templates from one service to another? Or just manually updating each version is the way to go at the moment? Hint : this might be a nice upgrade (with 3 services, I have 3 templates to udpate, in 2 languages...)

We try to let our “green choice” free product only to be booked for reservations with min. stay of 2 but I really cannot figure that out. How could I do this? Thanks! Christina

I’d love to hear how others handle this!Our Scenario:A guest books a single-occupancy room:Original booking: 100€ room rate + 8.25€ city tax = 108.25€ total. Later, the room rate increases to 120€ due to demand.When the guest arrives with an extra person, we update the reservation. Here’s what happens in Mews: "Keep old price" ticked: The system keeps the total at 108.25€, but recalculates the rate as 91.75€ + 2x city tax (16.50€). Problem: The room rate drops to 91.75€, which doesn’t reflect the original agreement. "Keep old price" unticked: The system recalculates the room rate to 120€ + 2x city tax (16.50€), totaling 136.50€. Problem: The guest now pays 28.25€ mor

Hi everyone,We’re setting up a recurring group booking workflow and I’d love some advice on the best way to handle communication settings.Every week we host the same tour group that: Stays for 3 nights Sends us a rooming list a few weeks in advance Arrives by bus and checks in with ID at reception Already has everything prepaid by the tour company The challenge: We don’t want each individual guest to receive confirmation, pre-arrival, or check-in emails. They don’t need communication from us, they just show up, stay, and leave. We also don’t want the tour company (payer) to receive 20+ confirmation and check-out emails every week. One invoice and one confirmation is enough. Has anyone found a clean way in MEWS to set this up efficiently? Do you: Leave guest emails blank? Use a “dummy” email for the paye

Mews  rolled back an earier update in regards to rate update. (For a few days we were able to enjoy a hassle free rate management tool again). Well, now they are back with the same, click all the way, time sonsuming rate updates. Again, instead of being able to simply click on a date and right away overwrite the rate, press enter, save and automatically jump on the next date and repeat the prosess, they introduce a clicking nightmare. Just listen to what the crowed is asking and don’t fix what does not need fixing. you are making everyones life hearder.
