Only add a product to new bookings

Is it possible by routing or some other way to make sure a product is only added to new bookings?

The system wil now apply the product with a product rule to all the bookings. And will show the product when we trigger it with check in or change of guests at the already made booings.

Now we have to manually remove any unintended additional products so that the price matches what the guest originally agreed to.

This process is time-consuming, inefficient, and prone to errors.

Hello,
Apart from creating a new rate (and possibly having to update mappings and restrictions, etc.), there is no efficient solution for this.

I have encountered similar issues many times and have created an idea for adding start/end dates to product rules.

Hello,

A workaround for this would be to create a new rate for 2026 and create a new product rule that applies to it. New bookings should then be booked with this rate, and the product rule would only apply to these bookings and not anything booked prior.

Thanks,

yes having an end time especially could contribute to the performace of the system also, as it could take away a lot of ‘old’ configurations that have been there since day one..
