HOW DO I BOOK A GROUP RETREAT

PHow do I book a group - i.e. a group of 20 corporate leaders where a contract would go to one person and the company would pay with one credit card for all the guests and the entire program etc. We plan on having a lot of group bookings at our venue (rather than just individual guest bookings for rooms) - for instance, small corporate retreats which will require room blocks.  Does Mews have the capabilities of sending quotes, contracts and invoices?  If not, will this be a feature in the near future? If not, is there a "work-around"? Does it also have the ability to create BEO's?

Umstellung des Paypemt

ich möchte künftig statt des Mews-Payment einen alternativen Anbieter wie Adyen oder Nexi nutzen. Leider kann ich hierfür keine Anwendung im Marketplace finden. Auch bei der Hilfe / Kontakt kann ich hierfür keine Lösung finden. Es wird vorgeschlagen, dass ich die Anwendung “'Mews Alternative Payment Methods” nutzen soll, die aber im Marketplace ebenfalls nicht zu finden ist.Hat jemand Erfahrung damit?

Notes

Hello Mewsers Just wondering if it is possible in anyway to have the notes coming from the channel manager to be all regarded as “General” notes instead of “Channel Manager” ones by Mews (see below)  It already does it for Expedia, but that is the only one...Is it a question of mapping between the OTA and the channel manager or between the CM and Mews? Only asking because it would be of great use to me as I’m using the Zapier integration to automate various tasks in regards of what is written in the “Notes” section of a new reservation. When it is a “General” note I can use it but I’can’t if it is a “CM” note… Maybe some of you knows how to get that setup @Mick maybe?...Or some Mews devs? Anyway, thanks in advance for your help and your time Regards Stephane

Push inventory limited to 365 days in the future

Hello Mews-ers, I tried to go live with my prices until October 2025.Until a month of two ago, there was no problem to push the inventory beyond 1 year in the future (eg. 13 months).Now it seems to be limited to 365 days in the future. Is this correct?

Preisabfrage MEWS

Hallo Zusammen, bei der Preisabfrage haben wir unterschiedliche Preise geladen.Einmal mit und einmal ohne Frühstück. Als primärer Preis wird die Rate ihne FS angezeigt. Frägt der Gsat nun nach dem Preis inkl. FS und ich wähle die Rate entsprechend inkl. FS aus, wird dies nicht addiert.Entweder wir rechnen es im Kopf aus oder fügen es über + hinzu, dann wird der Preis rechts im Reservierungsfeld inkl. FS angezeigt.Früher hat es den Preis inkl. noch direkt angezeigt. So ist es etwas umständlich. LGNina Atorf

Assa Abloy Vostio - multiroom access

HeyaI am wondering if anyone knows how to map connecting rooms in the Assa Abloy Vostio key cutter, such that the keys you punch out opens both rooms in a connecting room set-up.Example - Room 5 + 6 can be made to a connecting room “5+6”. Room “5+6” is the parent room for room 5 as well as room 6. When a client is staying in room 5 or room 6,  it is possible to punch individual keys for them. However when the reservation is assigned room “5+6” the key cutter cannot figure out how to make a key, which will access both room 5 & room 6.Thanks for your feedback.Nikolas

Hi !Our breakfast team is old fashioned and wants a printed list-paperversion of guests/rooms with and without breakfast. They do not want to work on a ipad/digital device. (because the risk of theft and messy fingers that can not be used on i digital device...) How do i find a list like this?Kindly advice!Thanks

Problem with 2FA when using Microsoft Authenticator in both Demo and PROD

Just a small advice to not use Microsoft Authenticator for both your Demo and PROD environment if your username is the same in both environments. When configuring the second login into the MS Authenticator, it will overwrite the first one, leaving you stuck on the environment you configured first in MS Authenticator.Use either a different authenticator or email confirmation in this case.Problem does apparently not exist with Google Authenticator.

Has anyone found a good way to track anniversaries? We currently have been tracking birthdays in the guest profile, but it’d be amazing if we had a method of tracking anniversaries that would also alert us of upcoming milestones. Thanks!

Unpaid Items / deposits

So many of our fully paid bills are stuck in “Unpaid items / deposits” bills.It’s causes so many problems with delays on checkout, people not noticing the error and thinking they checked the person out when they didn’t. We have to go back and close so many bills after they have been checked out also.  Does anyone know if there is a simple solution to this, have we got something set up wrong?  Thanks!

Close bills automatically

Hey Community!  Is anyone here that managed to have the bills automatically closed? For us this is still a manually taks we dont really need and takes time and effort. As a Hotels have already all the reservations prepaid and also F&B we dont charge on the profiles. Would be super nice if there is a feature that allows us to close the bill at a certain time bedore check-out.  If anyone here knows how to do that I would be super happy about some advice! Cheeeers 🙌🏻Hendrik

Employee User role and Permissions

I have been attempting to limit the access front of office employees have to financial data or payment information which is both sensitive to the business and confidential. MEWS have informed me there is no way in preventing any employee who has access to changing housekeeping status to also view the financials of the business.Please could I have some help or if anyone else is finding this as an issue. While creating different roles and users I tested this ability to view all financial information. Therefore, any user with housekeeping privilages can view any information within ‘Finance’ on the burger menu. This worries me as this is sensitive information I don’t believe Housekeeping or Front of House should have access to?

'Guests in house report' - new lay-out and printing function

Dear Mews-users, The guests in house report has had an overhaul.Whilst it is still possible to consult the old lay-out, I notice it is no longer correct.The function I am missing in the new Guests in House report is two-fold.Most importantly: the lack of the option to print it.Less importantly: no totals of guests in house any longer.As to the last item, that is not a drama to me (although a step back from what it used to be).The lack of option to print is a major difficulty though.Any tips/hints on this?Thank you.

Different Bookable services for different Booking engines

A tricky thought…..For the Stay service, we can create a number of bookable services, which can be chosen when making a reservation. We can also create a multitude of different Booking engines.For each of these Booking engines, we can decide which rates we would ike to display, but the bookable services are generic.It would be great if we can assign bookable services to the desired Booking engine….Great ExampleFlowers are a bookable service, as is Breakfast.  The website booking engine displays both We also have a booking engine for our Corporate clients, which displays their corporate rate as well as our daily rate. However this booking engine also displays the 2 aforementioned bookable services. Now flowers are not something that a corporate client would like to have, but breakfast is and we could sell them a fixed price airport transfer, which we would not want to sell to the general public.How can we distinguish bookable service for each booking engine ?

Hi, How do you do to send your invoice when you are not allowed to show the OTA commission ? For exemple AGODA / HOTELBEDS: For which we receive a debit card but only for the net amount. (Reservation amount - commission)While I am supposed to send an invoice for the total amount closed.How do you proceed?

All contact information is replaced with stars.. What happened?

All our most important contact information is now hidden for all our users.. Does anyone have a clue what could have happened? Or at least how to fix it?We cant actually run our operation without being able to contact customers so a pretty big deal :(

Sending PDF confirmation to guests

Hello! How do you all solve scenarios where guests or travel agents are asking for a reservation summary PDF (dates, room type, nr of rooms & people, additional services, price)? The pdf that you can download from the “Summary” tab does not look presentable and also includes unnecessary information about the categories. The attachment that is sometimes included in the confirmation email would work fine, but I still have not been able to figure out why the attachment is sometimes there, but often missing from the confirmation email.Thanks!

Aged Based pricing - booking.com

Hi,I do nut 100 % understand how aged based rates are setup.Do I needs do set-up someting in booking.com?Am I obliged to connect with the Booking.com integration in our marketplace to use this? Configuring channel manager settings to receive reservations with age categories (mews.com) It’s not really clear in this article.Thanks for your help; Sarah

Room status with kiosk app

Hey there,i have some questions about the kiosk app and the handling with it 😊.We don’t use the kiosk as self-service-station but more like an digital check-in-form to get the legally required guest data in our system. So the guests arrive at our reception and we can hand them an ipad with the kiosk app … so if the guests haven’t added all data with the online-check-in they use the kiosk app 👍.Our problem is, that we can’t hand the tablet when the room is not clean already which would be great because the guests are waiting anyway (until the room is clean) and have time to complete the kiosk. When changing the room status we are not able to track if the room is ready or not … Any suggestions or workarounds for that?Also in the kiosk settings in active options what is “employee mode” and “automatic space allocation” (we have german version, translation may be slightly different).

Hi there,When we switched to MEWS, I heard that you could integrate HRS via Expedia. Now, I'm unable to find any further information about HRS integrations. Does anyone use Expedia as a "bridge" for HRS, or does HRS only work with a channel manager?Cheers,Daniel
