Hi Chris.
If the company and travel agents are set up in mews, then you can pull a reservation report to analyse the booker/creator (channel)/company as these come through on the reservation report itself rather than paying for a channel manager, if it is just stats for example on booking.com versus expedia versus direct etc
The advantage to a channel manager is of course the ability to distribute to many more channels and OTAs however you will be paying a channel manager fee and commission to the individual agent (as you would need in most cases to contract separately with the relevant site/agent to have listings on them).
Hope this helps clarify a bit
Matt
Hi @Chris Gallardo,
As Matt mentioned, the Reservation Report would be the best way to gather the information you need. - Guide
To run the Reservation Report:
- Set the ‘Mode’ to Totals.
- Use the ‘Filters’ to select your desired date range and criteria (e.g., created, arriving, staying).
- Choose ‘Group By’ and set it to Origin, Reservation Source, Company, or Travel Agency.
This will provide a clear view of key metrics by Agency, Origin etc..
- Nights
- Average Rate
- Reservations
- Revenue $ & %
- Estimated Commission (reliant on Travel agency contracts being configured correctly)
Regarding the Mews Booking Engine, Please note that it is not compatible with channel managers like SiteMinder. If went the channel manager route, you would need to source a new booking engine.
I hope this helps!
