Hey all!

We want to make a 3 days/2 nights packagedeal for our guest. Including a diner on the first day and the option for a diner on the second day.

Question:

How do i set things up so guest get the offer to book the second diner during the online check-in and things are correctly on the productlist?

 

Its just a temporarly thing, so a workaround with a plug-in, isnt a option. 

Setting things up like a late check out gives the product on the list for the 2nd day and the day of depature. 

 

Any good tips?

As Mews only offers charging a “Once/per Person” product either on the Arrival or Departure date this won’t be possible without either a manual workaround or a small automation via Zapier.

  1. Manual workaround: Create a separate product for the optional dinner on the second day as Charging “per Person” on the “Reservation end” and enabling “Offer to customer” and “Create a task when added by a customer through online check in”. Whenever this product is added, cancel it in the reservation and add it again, then you can manually choose the consumption date and choose the 2nd day instead of the third.
  2. Zapier: I’m no pro at this yet, but probably the easiest would be to have one product as described above except you wouldn’t need the “Create a task..” option enabled. You then have a duplicate of that product that is not offered to the customer. Setup a Zap looking for reservations containing the product that guests can add themselves and then have Zapier cancel that product and add the duplicate product with the Consumption date being either Arrival +1 day or Departure -1 day.
