Coffret cadeau

Bonsoir à tousJe vous sollicite afin de savoir comment avez-vous procédé lorsque vous vendez des coffrets cadeaux via une plateforme type mybeezbox ( exemple séjour épicurien ) et le rentrer en mews ? je vends mes coffrets cadeau via mybeezbox et je souhaite savoir comment faire quand le client nous appellera en réception pour créer la réservation mauellement en sachant que ce sera un coffret cadeau dejà acheté via une autre plateforme.merci de vos retours

City taxes vs daily rate

Hi everyone! One week ago, I set up different age categories and loaded the city tax as a 0 euros in the products for them. However, when I have one reservation with 4 adults that finally are 2 adults and 2 children (the system does not recognise when there is children and put adults everywhere) and I change from 4 adults to 2 adults and 2 children, the system automatically put the children city tax a 0 euros but it adds the amount substracted to the daily rate and I have to rechange it manually. :( Send help please!!! :)

Editing/removing an item from a product added to a bill

We are new to Mews. I'm finding it hard getting the answer for this! We have to add Zbed charges to bills as they're not being applied when people book through our site or 3rd party. These are being added on the bill by adding “product” and selecting miscellaneous. This is where we have the charges set up. Thing is, once its added, it cannot be corrected or removed. Is there a way to remove these items firstly. Second, is there an easier way to add things to bills?? I know there is an “item” section but these prices are incorrect and it also adds for every night. We cant add “breakfast” just for one night etc. Hoping this makes sense and any help is gratefully received!!

How Do you handle address changes at invoices?

We are facing the problem of changes of the creditor very often such as address or name changes.Currently we need to cancel the whole invoice and recharge it - which is super complicated.As well as parts of the invoice are products which we received via API (Bizzon POS / Eventtemple). By German law it is not allowed to Do changes with Adobe or similar. How do you handle this? Thank you for your feedbacks in advanceBestMariusz

How to charge a CC after a bill has been closed

Is there a way to charge a credit card after the bill has been closed? Our guest checked out and then we had a report of incidental usage in the room. I checked them back in and do not have access to her credit card for incidentals. Thank you

Family room inventory

Hi There,Is there any way I can remove my family rooms from the inventory count? It now counts more rooms then I acctually have. So I can have 17 rooms available even if I only have 14 fysical rooms in the hotel but 3 are also bookable as a family room (so a combination of 3 rooms) Especially with my reporting, I cannot see what my actual occupancy was because Mews counts all my family rooms as additional rooms in the reporting. So I do all the counting manually now which takes a lot of time. Is there anyone with the same problem? and how to fix it? Warm regards,Sijtske

Mews and card transactions

Hi! I'm quite new to Mews. Could anyone please tell me if there is a way of knowing if a bank account is directly linked to Mews to receive direct payments please? We have had a cancellation recently and was within 14 days of their arrival. If you go on to Charge and Close, does the payment automatically get taken via guests previously saved card and transferred in to the mews account? We usually take payments through a PDQ .Sorry I couldn't find this answer on mews.Thanks for any help!Lisa

Live price on website

Hey, We are using in our Hotel a Screen that you can basically set up yourself with different content also depending on what day it is. One thing i am trying to do is showing the live prices for direct booking but there is no way to scrape the prices. Did anyone ever manage that? Also would like to put the live prices on the website without clicking through the booking eninge . Is it possible to have a widget for that? Or is there any other way?  Curious if anyone ran into that. Cheers Hendrik

Email Language

Hello! As far as I know, emails are always send at the preferred language of the guest. Would it be possible to always send it in English? We have our custom email and there’s important information that we want to share, but if the guest selects another language they receive the default email. Or the only way is to create emails for all languages and copy/paste the English version? Kind regards, Sergi

Hi everyone! Just wanted to know if you are able to set up different types of “child” in the age category and if then, you can set up a brekafast rate and no city tax for them.I already have aldut and child created for the city tax but I would like to make the difference between a child from 2-12 yo that does not pay breakfast from a teenager that pays a cheaper breakfast than adults. Thanks!!

Dear Mewsers,We have been experiencing an ongoing issue with pre-authorizations not being released promptly after guest departures. Typically, the pre-authorization is cancelled on the following day, but we have been receiving frequent complaints from our guests stating that the pre-authorization remains blocked on their cards even after three weeks from their departure. We would like to understand if other hotels are also facing similar challenges with pre-authorizations not being released in a timely manner. It seems that the bank card companies are holding onto the funds even after we have released the pre-authorization. Is it legal for the bank card companies to retain the funds for such an extended period, even after the hotel has released the pre-authorization?Any insights, suggestions, or advice on how we can address this issue would be greatly appreciated. We strive to provide excellent service to our guests, and this delay in releasing pre-authorizations has been causing unnec

Service Charge Setup

Hi MEWS Community! My hotel is in Indonesia, we are applying service charge and VAT. In MEWS we have to create service charge as a product hence rate+service charge will be sent to CRS (we are using SynXis/Sabre). We want to be able to send naked rate without service charge to CRS, and service charge to be displayed same as VAT. Anyone has similar situation and what is your setup in MEWS? I would appreciate your feedback or recommendation. Thank you guys!

Inquired vs. Optional

Hello Community! I am having a hard time understanding the difference between optional and inquired reservations. If a potential guest decides to book an inquiry, how do I know that it has been booked? Should I send optional quotes instead? Should I follow up with guests I have sent an inquiry quote too? If guest confirm optional quotes, how do they show up in the reporting? Please Help! Thank you.

How do I remove a cancelled room from a group reservation?

Is there a way to remove a cancelled room from a group reservation?  It is getting a bit confusing with it hanging out at the bottom of the right-hand pane.  There is nothing I can see to be done with it there, and our front desk people are being overwhelmed. I’d love to even move it to another group.  Is there a way to move a single room off of a group to another?As I type this, I’m sure there must be?

Travel agent Commission Calculation

Hello! Travel agents receive commissions based off our dynamic rates and group rates added into the block. We have built a TA contract for an agent and added the company to the group block, however, the commission does not report on the rooming list. When will TA commission show on reports? After check in, after creating the reservation, or after check out?

Open items list for annual closure

I have questions regarding open items: for annual financial statements we need an open items list. It has to show all outstanding customer payments not yet having been paid, even if closed after this date.If the path ‘open bill’ - ‘payment’ - ‘external payment’ is chosen, there`s no way either to give in past payment dates. It follows that the accounting ledger report shows items as unpaid as long as ‘external payment’ is done, no matter what the real payment date was.
