Hi Mews Community, I would like to know if any of your hotels are facing an issue regarding the management of adjustments and credit notes? In our hotels, when trying to create a credit note, it is impossible to view it and correctly associate it with the following items: Bill, payment For exemple, An invoice for €900 A credit note for €150 A payment of €750The balance should be balanced.The issues encountered are:The credit note is marked as "unpaid," when it is actually a refund, and it is listed under invoice xxx, although it is not an invoice. It is impossible to reconcile the unpaid invoice, as the credit note is neither assignable nor identifiable in the system. (Previously, there was a line in the billing tab.)Are you facing this issue too? If so how did you solve it? Any tips would be greatly appreciatedBest regards, 

Hey all We want to change the settings for the online Check-in via Mews connector.Does anyone have an idea where we can change the settings? All our rooms are paid before guest arrivals. Therefore we do not want to ask again for their cc within the online check-in. Can somebody help and give me a reply where i have to change the setting? Looking forward to some help

Dear CommunityWe used to be able to see all the rooms of the “group” (if a reservation belonged to one) lighted up when clicked on one in the timeline. This was easy for room allocation, to make sure reservations of two or three rooms were not placed on opposite sides of the hotel. I noticed today that this feature is no longer working. I preferred it when it was still possible to see the entire group, this made my work a lot easier. Now I have to manually go to each reservation to make sure I’m not missing something. Any one else having trouble with this? 

I am looking for a way to generate an invoice without VAT. This is only relevant if the customer is a tax exempt organization. Does anyone know how to…? Thx

Dear Mews, I noticed that on the billing screen, an added product is henceforth displayed twice.(although in fact consumed only once)I see this is to do with either “Linking product to reservation” or not.If you do (which is default), the 1 product is listed twice on the billing screen.If you don’t, the 1 product is listed once on the billing screen.1 product being listed twice on the same bill creates confusion - it gives the idea that there were two consumptions (whereas only one was taken).However, as the default setting is to link the product to a reservation, there must be a good reason to work this way? Please let me know what the best way to work is.Most clear way to work, as far as I am concerned, is that 1 added product is listed once on the billing screen (~ siutation 2).Any implications I should be aware of when not linking a product to a reservation?---

Man kann da automatisch eine Anpassung der MWST hinterlegen, da wir aber nichts haben, was man mitnehmen kann, würde ich das gerne deaktivieren. Ich weiß allerdings nicht wie. Hi,I'm looking for clarification on housekeeping intervals for long-stay bookings. Our goal is to clean each room every 7 days, but we want to control the specific day of the week when this cleaning occurs.I assumed that marking a room as "clean" would reset the 7-day interval each time. However, it seems the interval is only tied to the "system" status change date. For example, one room was marked "dirty" on November 5, and we cleaned it on November 8. Ideally, the 7-day interval would start from the most recent clean date (November 8), resetting the next cleaning date to November 15. But in this case, the interval reset on November 12, which is 7 days after the system’s initial "dirty" mark on November 5.Is there a way to adjust settings so the 7-day interval starts from the last manual cleaning date rather than the system date? 

Hi! Anyone else here using the Sabre/SynXis integration and having trouble or has some tricks due to age categories? Set up in Mews must be right, because both BE and booking.com take the right rates/ extra fees for children, but somehow the mapping/ connection between Synxis and Mews is not working. Hello, I have been live with the Expedia direct connect with MEWS and been working with support, but I keep getting different answers. I try it, it doesn’t work. I am looking for advice on setting up Expedia Collect and Hotel Collect mapping in market place.We have 2 rate plans, 1 for Expedia Collect and 1 for Hotel Collect. I can only map 1 and I can only select Hotel Collect or Expedia collect.If I use the Expedia Collect rate code with the collect type Expedia, then ALL bookings go to the Expedia Collect rate plan. Meaning, if a guest books Hotel Collect, it books in MEWS against Expedia Collect. And, visa versa on that.This has been a back and forth with support for a month and no solutions from support are fixing the issue. Has anyone else found the right answer?

We've noticed, following feedback from a customer who checked in online, that when the customer fills in the online check-in form, the form confirms “the room category assigned”. However, in my opinion, it would be preferable to indicate “the room category reserved”, especially in relation to the paid upgrade feature of the reservation. For example, if we have upgraded a guest for free (for whatever reason, construction work, overbooking, etc.) and then, when they arrive, we change them back to their original category, it could be confusing for them. We've also had the case where the room number assigned to him was confirmed on the form, even though this room number can change at the last minute. Wouldn't it be better in this case to indicate “the category of room booked” on the online check-in form, and above all not to indicate the room number? If this is something we can do ourselves, could you please get back to

I am surprised that I couldn’t find any thread discussing this issue.Maybe I am the only one with this problemFor the past month, I’ve tried everything, but Booking.com continues to remove all links from every email we send. This prevents us from sharing the online check-in link or Mews Messages link with our guests.My booking.com account manager suggested writing out the link instead of using a button, but that didn’t work either.I even added the „app.mews.com“ link to Booking.com whitelist - „your approved links“The account manager is aware of the issue but hasn’t provided a solution.Does anyone know a solution to this issue?

Hello, We’ve been getting Mews emails lately: “as per your request; you can reset your account password ….”However, no (active) staff member or myself asked for a password reset.I can apparently disregard this e-mail. However, should I be worried someone is trying to get into my account?

Hi. I wonder why the action log does not offer any “undo” buttons? As an admin I am also only a human being and I do make mistakes when it comes to setting rates, adjusting rates, changing reservations ao. Pluss the lovely hotel guests make changes, want different rooms ao.Should be a no brainer to put up an “undo” feature? We currently use a third party to handle online checkin and digital keys, one of the main reasons is that we find it useful to know approximately what time guests would like to check in, and this to be automatically reflected in the arrival time shown in Mews. It also gives the guest the opportunity to buy early check in as an extra.Now that Mews is offering digital keys, I want to see if we can stop using and paying for the third party system and do everything in Mews, hopefully also giving a more seamless experience for the guest.According to the Mews support chat it is possible to ask guests for arrival time in the Mews online check in, but I have never been able to find out how to do this.Has anyone got this working directly in Mews?
