How do you handle guest profiles if they pass away? Is there a best practice?

Unfortunately there is no classification for that right now which would make sense i guess. So right now we remove all mailing checkboxes (newsletter, postal) and add a guest notice.

I think the way to handle it can defer from brand to brand. 
Personally I would delete the profile.

We are a holiday hotel not an business or city hotel. Most of the times there are relatives that are still visiting us (partner, children, parents) and to just delete the whole profile means removing information that we probably need later on, so just deleting is definetly no solution for us. Also statistic and accounting wise it doesn’t seem like an really good option … i don’t know what deleting really does in mews.

Are there any other options for that?

Right now we add an information to the name of the guest which seems – with the given lack of a custom taxonomy system – the best solution right now. I guess you could also add an notice but these are pretty hidden in the system so not really an option too.
