It depends on what needs to happen. For example you change your included breakfast price and you have created a new product and linked it to your rate incl breakfast. All new bookings will include the new product.
For the old bookings the old product is kept EXCEPT if there is an update in the booking. If an update happens (you save it, you change a date, name or something) the new product will be added (but it will not cancel the old).
If you want to exclude the old item, you need to create a product rule that says cancel “old product”.
Maybe you can ask MEWS to do an update in case you need all bookings that are already made to have the new rule and cancel the old. I believe we ones did when the city tax rule changed for one of our hotels.
