Can we edit the template before we send out to guests to add in extra information specific to that booking

Yes, you should be able to change the e-mail under “Receiver” from “customer” to “custom”. There you can put it your own e-mail-adresse, which will send you the confirmation and you can change what you want.

This is a great feature and I see that we have this as a suggestion in our feedback platform; please make sure to vote as we are continuously reevaluating the most important next thing to build.

But indeed, as @Franziska G. mentioned, that would be the solution now: getting the email and manually making changes → resending.
