Hey guys,Is anyone else experiencing issues with the Kiosk?It felt like we were getting a new version every two days, but the current one has been out for about two weeks now—and we’re still experiencing problems with the app freezing or getting stuck at every property.This is really tough for our hosts, who have to take out the iPad and deal with that while beeig alone on shift. Is someone from the Kiosk team here who can explain why this issue hasn’t been resolved yet?Best regards,Hendrik

Hello Community, is it possible to offer products from our shop during the checkout process at the MEWS kiosk, for example: “Would you like to buy …?” Does anyone has this feature? Thank, Helene

We try to let our “green choice” free product only to be booked for reservations with min. stay of 2 but I really cannot figure that out. How could I do this? Thanks! Christina

Hierzu sind ein paar Fragen bei uns aufgetaucht:kann man individuelle HTML Befehle selbst einfügen? z.B. möchten wir gerne den Gastnamen anzeigen lassen unter Reservierungsdetails und auch den Name der Zimmerkategorie Kann man den Text unter dem Punkt Stornierung schöner gestalten. Hi Mews Community,We’re facing a challenge with adjusting the number of guests in a reservation and how Mews recalculates charges—specifically with city tax and accommodation rates. I’d love to hear how others handle this!Our Scenario:A guest books a single-occupancy room:Original booking: 100€ room rate + 8.25€ city tax = 108.25€ total. Later, the room rate increases to 120€ due to demand.When the guest arrives with an extra person, we update the reservation. Here’s what happens in Mews: "Keep old price" ticked: The system keeps the total at 108.25€, but recalculates the rate as 91.75€ + 2x city tax (16.50€). Problem: The room rate drops to 91.75€, which doesn’t reflect the original agreement. "Keep old price" unticked: The system recalculates the room rate to 120€ + 2x city tax (16.50€), totaling 136.50€. Problem: The guest now pays 28.25€ mor

Dear Mews-ers, Could anyone please outline the basics (maybe relevant pages) in how to set up a promo? I’m basically thinking something like: room type B ; if 3 nights = 15% discount ; add an extraonly bookable direct (via Mews booking engine)Thanks!

Hi everyone,I’ve been trying for some time to find a way to issue partial invoices in MEWS.For example: when we have a wedding at our venue, we send an invoice one month in advance for a 50% prepayment of the total amount.At the moment, I do this by sending a pro forma invoice with a note stating that it is a 50% partial invoice. Once the payment is received, I process it as an external payment and then issue the final invoice with the correct amount, so that the payment is properly recorded in the system.To me, it seems only logical that there should be an option to create a partial invoice for a specific amount.Does anyone know if this is possible in MEWS?

I am writing to you regarding a few issues we’ve recently encountered on Mews. First of all, when Mews Kiosk prompts us to enter email addresses, there are instances where, for various reasons, the email entered does not get saved under the client's profile in the "Email address" field, but instead appears in the "Internal Notes" section.This is a major issue for us, as it replaces existing client notes with the email address, permanently erasing important information. These notes often contain details about returning guests, their preferences, habits, or dislikes, that are crucial to personalizing their experience. We would like to recover these notes, as well as any other client notes that were lost and never restored due to this issue.

Hallo zusammen!Hat jemand eine Idee, wie ich es hinbekommen kann, dass Gäste, die über unsere Website gebucht und per Paypal bezahlt haben, nicht diese Mail bekommen, dass keine Zahlkarte verknüpft ist? Kann man diese Mail ausstellen? ich finde nur, wo ich die anderen Mails deaktivieren kann, aber diese Mail ist nicht dabei.Ich bekomme immer wieder Anrufe von Gästen, die fragen, warum sie trotz Paypal-Zahlung eine Kreditkarte angeben sollen. Viele haben Bedenken, dass ihre Buchung jetzt nicht akzeptiert wird.Leider wird die Paypal-Zahlung in Mews ja auch nicht als Zahlung direkt mitverbucht, wie das bei der Kreditkarte der Fall ist. Ich hoffe, das kommt noch in nächster Zeit.Wie geht ihr damit um? Gibt es einen “Workaround”?Viele GrüßeHeike

Mews  rolled back an earier update in regards to rate update. (For a few days we were able to enjoy a hassle free rate management tool again). Well, now they are back with the same, click all the way, time sonsuming rate updates. Again, instead of being able to simply click on a date and right away overwrite the rate, press enter, save and automatically jump on the next date and repeat the prosess, they introduce a clicking nightmare. Just listen to what the crowed is asking and don’t fix what does not need fixing. you are making everyones life hearder.  

Hallo zusammen, arbeite jemand von euch mit Run of House? Ist das in Mews umsetzbar, z.B. wenn man eine eigene Zimmerkategorie dafür anlegt? oder gibt es die Möglichkeit die Zimmerzuteilungsregeln ausser Kraft zu setzen? Danke für eure Anregungen und Impulse.

Grias Eich, bei uns läuft das Registrierkassenzertifikat bald ab. Jetzt versuche ich herauszufinden, was zu tun ist, um es zu erneuern. Das Zertifikat ist von A-trust - das kann ich auch im Marketplace sehen, allerdings wurde mir bei A-trust gesagt, dass es nur über den Hersteller der onlinekassa geht. Ich kann aber nichts darüber finden, wer dies ist.  Da mews mich ständig darauf hinweist, dass das Zertifikat bald abläuft können die es ja nicht sein. Hat jemand eine Idee? Hello everyone, hope you are doing well!Is there a handy solution for the following situations?1. Scenario:The occupancy of a double room changes during the stay. For example: Night 1 → only 1 pax From Night 2 onwards → a second person joins The room rate stays the same, but: Breakfast is linked to the number of guests. This means that either one breakfast is “too many” for the first night, or one breakfast is missing for the second night. Of course, we can manually add breakfast items on the invoice in advance, but then: The posting date is incorrect The product is not reflected in the breakfast report The pax count for the second night still shows only 1 Creating a second reservation is also an option, but then FO and HSK would both need tasks set for “stayover” handlin

Hi!Before I mess around in our demo, maybe someone can give me a quick hint? (The help.mews.com docu is not helpful about this)So, when I change an existing service product (not additional service) in settings, will that affect instances of the same product that have been added to reservations/bills in the past (for future reservations)? Hi All,I have a question. Our main e-mail address is booking@. We need to change this for our invoices.The e-mail address can’t be booking, it needs to be something else like invoice@. Does anyone know if this is possible to change or has had a simular situation?Thanks so muchTamara

We updated all our guest email templates yesterday. We first deleted all the old ones and then created new ones. Everything looks good and polished in MEWS. When I send a test email to myself, the confirmation is messed up and contains several errors. Are other users experiencing this issue?

Wenn Gäste geschäftlich reisen, soll statt dem Frühstück das Businesspackage aufgebucht werden. Wie lege ich das Businesspackage als Produkt an, so dass der Split im Hintergrund Korrekt ist, d.h. das Speisen, Getränke und Wlan richtig gebucht werden? Danke für eure Unterstützung

Hi together,as nice as the new tool for the email templates is. How do I manage to display the services together with the prices per room in the email templates? Especially with confirmations for bookers and for several rooms, the email looks very bad. The services are listed per room and the prices are posted below all rooms and they are not linked to the rooms.The room rate is displayed as the average rate for all rooms. This is completely pointless.By the way, I do not unterstand, why the room rate is displayed as an average rate, however the services, like breakfast and parking are listed everey single day. Normaly this extras doesn´t change the price during a stay. Otherwise, a change of the roomrate is common.However, do you have a solution for displaying the prices per room?That would be nice. Best regardsLeif

Dear Community!I'm looking for some help in calculating hotel's management fees. The fee is based on a percentage of total revenue, but I'm struggling to find a single, reliable report in Mews that gives me the correct final revenue figure.The most logical reports - accounting & Manager - often show differences in the total revenue.Can someone please point me to the specific report you use for this?Any advice on filters or best practices would be a huge help.Additionally, if someone can help me understanding the differences in total revenues of both reports would be awesome. Thanks in advance for your assistance! ​@Mews Community Team ;)   

Hello Mews Community,I recently came across the feature "A Smarter Way to Price for the Seasons in Mews Operations," which was launched on 04/07/2025. We are interested in trying out this feature; however, we noticed that the screen we have doesn't match the one shown in the Mews explanation.Could someone please clarify whether this feature still needs to be implemented on our account, or is it already active for all accounts? Generiert noch jemand seine Kreditkartenzahlungen über Payone und kann uns einen Tipp geben, wie wir dieses am Besten verbuchen?Vielen Dank im Voraus für eine Rückmeldung :-) 

Bonjour, nous avons mews depuis peu, Nous sommes dans une impasse. Quand je suis dans la factuation, il arrive parfois que j’ai deux factures ouvertes, une à payer et une à rembourser, mais je ne veux pas rembourser. Exemple, il avait réservé pour deux nuits, je l’ai fait payer à l’arrivée mais il raccourcit son séjours d’une nuit. Je lui fait donc un ajustement sur sa facture, et quand j’arrive à la facturation, mews veut que je fasse un remboursement et un paiement du même montant, mais le client à déjà payé la totalité à l’arrivée et été remboursé d’une nuité .  pouvez vous m’aider avec cela ??car tant que la facture n’est pas à zéro je ne peux pas effectuer le départ et comme le motel est plein je voudrais bien récupèrer ces chambres là!
