HRS integration via Expedia?

Hi there,When we switched to MEWS, I heard that you could integrate HRS via Expedia. Now, I'm unable to find any further information about HRS integrations. Does anyone use Expedia as a "bridge" for HRS, or does HRS only work with a channel manager?Cheers,Daniel

Copying reservations

Is there an easy/quick way to copy a reservation - let’s say you have a guest that is always there Monday-Friday and you would just click a button that copies the whole reservation and you would just have to adjust the arrival date, but everything else is already there (guest, billing address, preferred categories - whatever you may think of)?

Export guest profiles for postal mailings

We’re pretty new with mews but it seems that the “Send marketing postal mail” guest option is pretty new because it isn’t event translated yet in the german version of mews.We do send postal mailings and are using this option (in addition of loyalty codes which we used because send marketing postal mail was not available in the import) …My question is:How is it possible to export guest data for postal mails? Is there an solution for exporting all with the “Send marketing postal mail” option and/or is there an option to export profiles by loyalty code?It seems like its not that easy to get data into mews but its even harder to get it out again 😅.

dringend suchen wir die Möglichkeit, das das Sekretariat unserer Gäste die Möglichkeit hat, sowohl eine Gastadresse anzugeben als auch eine Rechnungsanschrift, das eine brauchen wir um gesetzeskonform zu arbeiten, das andere um Geld zu verdienen. Gleiches für den Online-Check-In und -Out. Der Gast will die Daten einpflegen, kann er aber nicht. Stattdessen müssen wir etliche Rechnungen im Nachhinein korrigieren, umschreiben, stornieren was nur unnötige Arbeit für uns und unsere Firmenkunden darstellt.

How to prioritize certain rooms

Hello everyone,I'm looking for the best way to assign certain rooms last - unfortunately the chatbot doesn't help me much. Our elevator in one part of the building is broken and of course we want to assign these rooms last - but it's only about a certain part of the building and therefore the assignment “from bottom to top” is not what I'm looking for. In our old system, we always created a contingent tentatively, which didn't affect availability. These rooms were then only allocated accordingly if no other free rooms were available in the respective category, and I am quickly looking for a similar solution.

How do you add travel companions

We have the problem that our guests can’t add travel companions in the online checkin or the kiosk. I’ve just created an reservation and for me this was possible in the online check in.Ive checked the sent mails but nobody else ever has used this feature, thats why i guess its just not available for our guests … i don’t know why it was available for me (used that from my phone) but probably because my account is not a normal guest account i guess.How is the “add travel companion” feature in the online check in (and maybe even kiosk) activated or what rules do apply that this is visible? Is there an option to allow companions without email or how is the handling intended for children?

Hello mews community, I'm here to listen how other hoteleriers handle the following:Current scenario: We have several breakfast products (normal price and discounted version for corporate and groups). Each of this make a specific product, with a specific ID. Only the normal breakfast product is marked, and needs to be marked, for upsell on the kiosks checkin. Problem: The kiosk does not recognize products that come with rates, therefore, it will try to upsell the product to guest who already have a breakfast added. This causes issues when guest do not remember having it, they proceed to add and pay, and then we are facing extra work having to check and refund. Example: Lets say that our corporate rate “Bed and Breakfast Corporate” has a product rule with: add “discounted corporate breakfast” (for value of 10), but only the product names “Full breakfast price” (for price 12) is the one offered for upsell. Mews Key cutter Integration Omnitec

Hallo, wir suchen eine Möglichkeit in Mews Schlüssel bzw. Pin Codes für unser Schließsystem zu erzeugen. in der Beschreibung der Omnitec Schnittstelle aus dem Marktplatz soll dies möglich sein.Leider ist kein Howto dabei und man kann auch nichts einstellen ein Codierer haben wir nicht, da wir nur mit Pin Codes arbeiten wollen. In der Omnitec Software ist der FIAS Server Aktiviert doch auch über den MEWS Connector ist ist kein Erstellen möglich. Die Verbindung ist Online und die Software von Omnitec funktioniert. Dies haben wir zusammen mit einem Service Techniker von Omnitec realisiert. Leider sind seine Fähigkeiten in MEWS sehr neu und er kann und hier nicht helfen. Hi Everyone, Just want to check something again ;) If i create a new reservation, with a new guestprofile, and want to add details like adress or preferences during the reservation, i cant return to the reservationsscreen. I miss the ← arrow at the left upper site or the option to close this screen. Do i miss something?

Optimize sales with cancelled bookings

When I recieve a cancellation, I would like to keep the amount but resell the room the same night to optimize my revenue. Today if I cancel the reservation, the revenue will be retrieved from the revenue stated in reports etc… How do you deal with this?

Booking for Someone Else and Billing

Hi,It seems when someone using the Mews booking engine and chooses the option “I´m Booking for Someone Else”, Mews automatically invoices the “Booker” instead of the “Guest”.We do not want to invoice Bookers, but rather the Guest, regardless of who makes the booking as the Guest will be responsible for the payment. Besides manually moving the charges, is there any way to automate this?Alternatively, can we simply remove the “I’m booking for someone else” field from the booking engine?

Hi All, Just want to check somehting: Last few days MEWS is closing my windows automaticly when i click a tekstfield to for exeampla change the emailadres or phonenumber. Got it on multipule devices. My first thougt was i needed a new mouse and keybord, but even on my laptop it does this. Anyonbe more experice this problem?

Hi CommunityDie Neuerung mit dem “Zurück-Pfeil” statt der vielen geöffneten Tabs ist ja an und für sich eine gute Sache.Wenn man nun aber in der Zeitachse ist, dort ein gewünschtes Datum eingibt, eine Reservierung bearbeitet und dann auf “zurück” klickt um zu prüfen, in welches Zimmer man diese legen will, landet man immer wieder am heutigen Datum. Beim Tagesgeschäft mit vielen zukünftigen Buchungen ist das doch ganz schön nervig.Was denkt ihr dazu?

Stammdaten - Änderung und Historie

Hallo Zusammen, wir stehen aktuell vor der Herausforderung eine Art “Stammdaten Historie” für das Steuerbüro zu finden.Durch die MwSt- Änderungen im F&B ( 2022 und 2023 7% Food/ ab 2024 wieder 19%) haben wir ja die jeweilige Buchhaltungskategorie in Mews ändern müssen (Datev!) Nun möchten wir für 2022 und 2023 Umsatzberichte ziehen und prüfen, welche Buchhaltungskategorie hinterlegt ist, da stehen aber die aktuellste Konten drin. BSP: in 2023 war Food 7% auf 430022in 2024 ist Food 19% auf 440022Ziehe ich mir einen Buchhaltungsbericht für 2023 stehen die Konten von 2024 drin.Wir haben also für eine eventuelle Betriebsprüfung keinen tatsächlichen Nachweis, dass in 2023 alle Umsätze auch mit den richtigen Steuern auf die korrekten Konten gebucht wurde.Unser STB fordert das jetzt aber an - und nun brauche ich Eure Hilfe bitte. Wie regelt Ihr das? LG von der Ostsee

Booking Engine Payments - Make it Clearer How Much is Due Now

We are getting a lot of questions from confused guests because the final "summary" message of the Mews booking engine shows them the total price in big bold numbers and it says the amount that will be paid in small gray letters below. People simply do not read that and they think they have to pay the full price at the time of reservation.Can we please make the text "You'll pay €XXX Amount when you finish your reservation" in bigger letters to explain they only pay this quantity and not the whole price at the time of reservation?

Nachträgliche Änderung Firmenname

Hallo zusammen, ein Gast hat ausgecheckt und nach dem Schließen der Rechnung festgestellt, dass etwas im Firmennamen fehlt (Zeppelin GmbH/ Zeppelin Rental GmbH). Wir haben die Firma in der Kartei angepasst, aber nach erneutem Ausstellen der Rechnung (Rechnungsdetails ändern) steht dort nach wie vor der falsche Firmennamen als Rechnungsempfänger drin. Wie können wir das Problem lösen/ was machen wir falsch?

Trinkgeld BIZZON Kasse

Hallo zusammen,wir nutzen seit Montag BIZZON für unser Restaurant. Allerdings stellte sich uns gestern die Frage wie das mit dem Trinkgeld funktioniert, welches per Karte gezahlt wird. Bei unserer vorherigen Kasse war es immer so, dass das Trinkgeld der Karten vom Barumsatz direkt abgezogen wurde und wir den Betrag somit direkt an die Mitarbeiter abgeben konnten. Bei BIZZON scheint das Trinkgeld aber so nicht auf, also im Barumsatz sondern separat. Mich würde nun interessieren wie ihr das handhabt, damit dieses Kartentrinkgeld auch ausgezahlt werden kann. Access to the default mail template translations?

When customizing the templates - I do only see the default template in my own language - I can not choose the default translations of the same template - that would make it much easier to customize the other languages too. My workaround is in the moment to filter the already sent mails to my guests and I get the defaults from the other languages from there - but find it strange that it is not possible to access these translations from the customizing menu.Best regards,Karo
