Should we disable 'Google Hotel Search' from the Marketplace?

Good morning, Referring to the message of Google discontinuing its Google Hotel Search integration with Mews, should we disable it in the Market Place?(I think mainly of Inventory Update errors once the integration goes down)Whilst the measure would come into effect on July 1st, I see it’s still a functioning integration at this time.I won’t complain :-)

Meldescheinnummer

Hallo alle zusammen! Wir haben in unserem Hotel gerade auf Mews umgestellt. Wir sind sehr zufrieden, aber es gibt noch einige Unklarheiten mit unseren Meldezetteln. Laut der TVB hier in Achenkirch muss die Meldezettelnummer auf dem unterschriebenen Meldezettel angegeben sein, und wir müssen diese Meldezettel 7 Jahre lang aufbewahren. Wie gehen andere Hotels in Österreich damit um? Denn diese Meldezettelnummer aus Feratel wird nicht in Mews übertragen. Die Lösung, die der TVB derzeit vorschlägt, ist, alle Meldezettel aus Mews auszudrucken und die Nummer von Hand darauf zu schreiben, aber wir möchten gerade weg vom Drucken und manuellen Schritten. Hat ein anderer österreichischer Mews-Nutzer damit Erfahrung?Vielen lieben Dank!Liebe Grüße, Judith    4o

Booking.com blocking emails - Before start Online check-in

Is anyone else facing problems with sending before start/before start reminders to booking.com guest?We are pushing very hard to get our guest so check-in online, however I see that booking.com is not accually forwarding these emails to the guest. In MEWS it shows as sendt.  I have tried to make a booking myself at booking.com and it is not working. I tried to remove the Sigin box, in the email templets, with just a link however it is still not working. Funny thing is that when I send the bill it has acually worked.  Does anyone know how to fix this?

Reservation with an unused (first) night? (bookings with early arrival the following day)

Good afternoon, We sometimes have the following situation - the example of which is fictional.A guest makes a booking from 15 August until 19 August (4 nights).However, he will not stay on the first night.He booked the night of 15 August merely to guarantee an early check-in on 16 August.In essence, the guest will stay for 3 nights. What would be best in this case? [Especially the consideration of city tax plays here (as the guest did not spend the first night, it is not due for the first night)]1) split the reservation and cancel the first night with 100% cancellation cost?2) keep the reservation entirely but manually remove one city tax (mentioning this on the invoice for authority control purposes)3) another solution altogetherThank you for shedding your light on this.

Multiple overnight reservations but no email to notify me the reservation is to be processed

[SOLVED]Morning, We’ve received multiple OTA reservations overnight. These have been correctly loaded into the system. However, the accompanying email from noreply@mews , notifying us to process the reservation/order, has not come through. Any issues going on in this respect currently? Thnx, PHman88

Routing Rules to Customers

Is there a way to create a routing rule to a customer account? We have availability blocks with Customer Profiles that are set up at Paymasters for groups. We currently route the room, tax, and other fees to these paymasters based on the group contract. We would love to avoid this manual process. I think I am only seeing the option to create a routing rule to companies or TA’s. This is great for any group that pays via wire transfer but does not help if they pay via CC (80% of groups pay cc). Anyway around this?

Google Engine Event Tracking

Hi Community, We just noticed that some of the google tag events being passed from our Mews Booking Engine installed on our website are not complete: For example:Name and Phone of the person booking the reservation Number of nights reserved “view_item_list” even used for multiple eventsIs there any documentation that explains how Mews sends the google tag events. And if it is possible for us to customize the events that are being sent by the booking engine?

Override Restrictions

Hi Fellow Mewser, I´m trying to find a way to override restrictions. Once a (rate-)restriction is set, no one might be able to override them. Is there a way to give some users (like Mangager / Admin accounts) the permission to override restrictions? It would be very helfpul if you could assign those authorizations to some users.Looking foward to your input and maybe a helpful solution!Thanks in advance ;)Sascha

reoccuring tasks

Is there an option to mark tasks as reoccuring, let’s say you have a task that needs to be added to a reservation daily. A button that says “daily” or “every second day” or whatever, but just so you don’t have to manually create ten tasks for one booking that stays ten nights but just create it once with a specific rhythm?

Date-restricted Promo Code Offer

I am building a date-restricted bounceback offer for travel with arrival dates between06/28/24 - 06/30/24, minimum 2-night stay, with a specifically created voucher (FAREWELL) using specifically created rates (PRIDE 2024 BB). The rates are part of my existing bounceback rate group (Bounceback) in which I have an already-functioning bounceback offer (an offer that is valid for much longer than the one I’m now building).RATES: The rates accurately shows the 20% reduction on the Pricing tab, and they are enabled on the Details tab.RESTRICTIONS: Using the existing bounceback offer as a reference I have mirrored the type of restrictions on the new offer, Closed To Arrival To 06/27/24, Closed To Stay 06/28/24 - 06/30/24 Excluding Min 2 Nights, Closed To Arrival From 07/01/24. Other restrictions already in place block out two space types, and All Dates, All Rates Max Advance 180 days (which is irrelevant because the promo period is within 180 days from today.When viewing the restrictions on t

Auto check-in with room allocation and unique PIN

Hello, I have tried to figure out how to auto-allocate rooms along with automatic check-in and unique PIN code instructions per room, but to no avail :) The problem I try to figure out is this:- We have a small nature resort consisting of tree types of accommodation. - Each type has a few different cabins.- Every cabin has a lock box with a PIN code to access keys (a manual one, not electronic).Now, here’s where I wonder what to do:I need to auto-checkin people, giving them unique instructions about the cabin’s whereabouts, the number of the cabin and the PIN code without requiring them to check in. We don’t have a manned destination, so kiosks / iPads and the like won’t work. I have tried to look at the info we might access from MEWS when sending emails, but it does not seem to me that I can put in this unique info per cabin anywhere? Or do any of you know how to do such a thing? Thanks :)

Is there an option to deactivate the mews chat

The chat handling in mews right now is very simple and does more harm than good in our case. We already have a chat system with ai integration which is a lot better. The question is: is there a way to remove the mews chat completely?I know that it is possible to remove the chat link from the email but in the mews portal it is still possible to access. We need a way to remove that completely until it is a viable option to use.

Today, I want to open up a conversation about a topic that's been lingering in MEWS feedback portal – the addition of a third gender option in the Guest Profiles.In the MEWS feedback portal, there are currently three feature requests addressing this issue:Add Gender as Handling Criteria for Hostels (13 votes) Add Non-Binary as Genderline Check-In (120 votes) Add Non-Binary as Gender (26 votes)Surprisingly, all these requests are currently labeled as "Unlikely," with no roadmap commitment from the product team.I've been in touch with some hostels, particularly those offering female-only dorms. For them, having gender information before guests arrive is crucial. However, the current online check-in process only provides the choice between male and female, leaving out a significant portion, or simply not ask for this information.I'm curious to hear from other organizations. Do you consider gender information important for online check-in? A

send different mails to an enquiry than to an optional booking

We would like to send different emails to a guest making an enquiry than to a guest placing an optional booking.Now they both get a quotation.But a guest who makes a quotation we would like to give only a quotation and clearly indicate that no accommodation is held for them.Whereas with an option, you actually want to indicate that the property is indeed being held.Now the chatbot gave the idea of using other languages to create a different mail. However, you are then faced with the problem that product names are also named in that language.I am sure we are not the only ones with this problem. How did you solve this?

Mention of "Billing automation applied" appears when making a reservation

Good morning, Since yesterday I have noticed something new (?) when making a reservation. A ‘lightning’ sign appears under the quotation total, mentioning ‘Billing automation applied’.Is this a new feature or something which impacts existing processes?No changes to Mews were made by me prior to this appearing.

Why can't Mews auto-translate all fields on booking engine including rates and rooms?

It is a pain to have to manually update all translations for room rates, products, and room names for each language. There should be a way to auto translate all of this like it does for other parts of the built-in booking engine. Any solutions out there?
