Email Templates for bookers or for more then one room

Hi together,

as nice as the new tool for the email templates is. How do I manage to display the services together with the prices per room in the email templates? 

Especially with confirmations for bookers and for several rooms, the email looks very bad. The services are listed per room and the prices are posted below all rooms and they are not linked to the rooms.
The room rate is displayed as the average rate for all rooms. This is completely pointless.

By the way, I do not unterstand, why the room rate is displayed as an average rate, however the services, like breakfast and parking are listed everey single day. Normaly this extras doesn´t change the price during a stay. Otherwise, a change of the roomrate is common.

However, do you have a solution for displaying the prices per room?
That would be nice.

This is Addie with Mews Support. If I am understanding you correctly, unfortunately what you are requesting is not currently supported by Mews such as listing services per room with the price for each; showing the per-room rate instead of the average rate for all rooms; and combining service quantity, name, and price per line per reservation. HTML only influences presentation, not data structure or logic.

Hi Leif,

 

It can get complex, but have you tried Loops and Merge Tags to define what you need? I think by using a loop you can loop through each room booking to list out bookings, if you define the correct loop block. Not done this myself but looks achievable:

How to use merge tags to personalize content in mail templates

by using the Reservation Room name and similar tag and looping through for all reservations?

Hi Matt,

yes, I've tried a few things. Unfortunately, you can't link the product fields and pricing fields. You can either output product quantity and item or pricing item and amount, but not quantity, item and amount together.
And you can't control the room rate at all.

Maybe via html? But I´m out there.

Hi there,

as a partner consultant we work with many MEWS clients and this is an issue we heard from many different clients where companies book many rooms at once (for example 60) and are frustrated by the long emails as every room has its own reservation and product line. Would love to get this feature added.
