Mews  rolled back an earier update in regards to rate update. (For a few days we were able to enjoy a hassle free rate management tool again). Well, now they are back with the same, click all the way, time sonsuming rate updates.

Again, instead of being able to simply click on a date and right away overwrite the rate, press enter, save and automatically jump on the next date and repeat the prosess, they introduce a clicking nightmare.

Just listen to what the crowed is asking and don’t fix what does not need fixing. you are making everyones life hearder.

Hi @nnica ,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback — we truly appreciate it, even when it’s critical. It helps us improve.

As noted in the release notes, this update introduces the ability to adjust per-guest pricing at the date and room level — a feature that aligns closely with common revenue management strategies. That said, we completely understand that the usability of the form has taken a hit for many users, and we’re committed to improving it over the next few iterations. The underlying technology has been reworked to support better scalability, and we’re confident we can restore and enhance the experience.

We’d love to use this opportunity to gather broader input from the community. Specifically, we’re curious to hear the community’s thoughts on:

  1. How important is the flexibility to adjust pricing at the date and room level? (1 = not important at all, 5 = extremely important)
  2. To what extent are you blocked by the lack of keyboard shortcuts?
(1 = not blocked at all, 5 = completely blocked)
  3. How important are the following usability features?
    (Rate each from 1 to 5 — 1 = not important, 5 = very important)
    • Auto-highlighting the base-price field when a cell is clicked
    • Saving the price by pressing Enter
    • Automatically selecting the next cell in the same row after pressing Enter (useful for editing multiple dates)

Our intention above is to understand the relative importance of different functionality. Since this is a major re-work, we are trying to decide:

  • Are the keyboard shortcuts a deal-breaker, that require us to stop the rollout of flexible adjustments on a room/day level
  • As we add the shortcuts, what should the priority be.

If possible, we’d love to see the relative importance reflected in the scores in your feedback :)

We’re listening closely and will use this feedback to guide our next steps. Thanks again for helping us shape a better product.

Hi @saurabh.bhatia This is all marketing text. We get it you wanted to roll out per person pricing for the small hotels you work with. OK This was said in every singe post. FINE. Scalability, you wnat to make the world a better place, this is all sugar coating. I am a bit more like Dr. HOUSE I don’t like sugar coating. Bottom line, the rate management side was downgraded to an un user friendly state. For the users on the front end it does not really matter what you and how you do in the back-end. For us it matters what WORKS efficiently. The upgrade does not work efficiently on the front and for us that is what matters.

Saying you guys will improve it in the future that means in 6 month or a year or never. These are just sugar coating. These are the facts without the sugar.
