Hallo zusammen,wie handhabt ihr das Thema No-Shows und Stornierungen?Unser aktueller Ansatz lautet:Keine Umsatzsteuer bei Stornierungen & No-Shows 🚫💶 Grundsatz: Wenn ein Gast ein Zimmer reserviert und nach Ablauf der kostenfreien Stornierungsfrist storniert, liegt kein Leistungsaustausch vor. Stattdessen handelt es sich um echten Schadenersatz, der nicht umsatzsteuerbar ist. Stornorechnungen 🧾 → Beim Erstellen unbedingt darauf achten, keine Umsatzsteuer auszuweisen. No-Show-Rechnungen 🛑 → Auch hier findet kein Leistungsaustausch statt. Daher gilt das Gleiche: ohne Umsatzsteuer fakturieren. ✅ Merksatz: Schadenersatz ≠ UmsatzsteuerpflichtAllerdings verrechnet MEWS in der Praxis bei No-Shows automatisch 10 % USt. wenn wir dies automatisch über das System verrechnen.

Hallo Community, mir ist die Berechnung der Bettensteuer nicht ganz verständlich. Laut Gesetz muss sie auf den Nettoübernachtungspreis ohne Umsatzsteuer berechnet werden. In unseren Buchungen wird jedoch offenbar der Bruttobetrag (inklusive Umsatzsteuer) als Grundlage verwendet.  In dem Fall sind es 41,66 € (7.5%) vom Bruttobetrag (555,40 €). Gesetzestext: > Die Steuer bemisst sich nach dem Aufwand für die Übernachtung ohne Umsatzsteuer und ohne den Aufwand für andere Dienstleistungen.Link zum Gesetzestext: https://gesetze.berlin.de/bsbe/document/jlr-%C3%9CnStGBEpP4  Meine Fragen: Ist bei uns eventuell eine falsche Einstellung hinterlegt? Oder wird die Berechnung von Mews möglicherweise automatisch so vorgenommen?  Vielen Dank für eure Unterstützung!

The Automated data feed to STR for STAR reporting does not include market segmentation.  Does anyone have a fix for this?

Hallo ZusammenHat jemand ebenfalls den digitalen Schlüssel mit SALTO bereits aufgeschalten?Wir haben das Problem, dass sich der digitale Schlüssel nur aktiviert, wenn auch eine Schlüsselkarte erstellt wird. Wenn die Codierstation keine Schlüsselkarte erstellen kann, dann aktiviert sich auch der digitale Schlüssel nicht. Wir wissen nicht welche Einstellung fehlerhaft sind und sind auch im Austausch mit dem Support. Nun wollte ich fragen, ob jemand das System erfolgreich nutzt und evt die Einstellungen beim KeyCutter teilen kann. Danke für eure Hilfe

We will have Mews PMS inkl. Payment and Travelclick IBE + CM with another Payment Provider. We would prefer to make Guests pay via Mews Pay to have the CC Info in mews. Does anyone has an idea how we could handle this with mews?I only know that this is possible with the Online C/I, but we would like to receive the money earlier for example non ref bookings. Hallo zusammenwir haben das Problem, wenn wir mehrere Zimmer gleichzeitig buchen, sei es eine Gruppe oder jemand bucht für mehrere Firmenmitarbeiter, bleibt der Name des Buchenden für Angebot, Bestätigung, Rechnung etc. fix, auch wenn wir die Gastnamen bei "Gruppen" anpassen. Genauer gesagt, wenn z.B. Muster Max 10 Zimmer bucht und ich dann für jedes Zimmer einen anderen Namen eingebe, erscheint auf der Rechnung unter jeder Zimmernummer Muster Max, wie auch in der "Buchungsübersicht".Gibt es eine Möglichkeit, dies zu ändern?Herzlichen Dank für eure Ideen.

Dear MEWS Team & Community,I hope you're doing well. We are contacting you regarding a refund receipt that was generated in our system—though it's not actually a refund in the conventional sense. A few months ago, we completed a wire transfer and closed the transaction with a deposit. Our accounting team has since informed us that this approach was incorrect. In trying to correct the entry, we mistakenly issued a full rebate of that specific bill and deleted the related negative deposit from items. As a result, we now have a Fiscal receipt that doesn't accurately reflect what occurred. We need to nullify this receipt and reissue a new one that properly documents the adjustment—essentially showing that we refunded the overpaid amount (even though it wasn't a real refund) to reconcile the balance on the bot. Could you please advise us on how to proceed? We’d appreciate your guidance in resolving this issue correctly for our records. Thank you in advance for your help.

Hallo, kann mir jemand helfen und mitteilen, wie ich in Mews einstellen kann, dass Zimmer am gleichen Tag noch bis 12 Uhr online buchbar sind. Ich möchte kein Zapier oder so nutzen, es muss doch in Mews so einstellbar sein… Oder? GrußTorsten 

Hi, our guests often need their invoices issued in name of their company so it would be great if the guest could mention the company name and adress by online check-in. This way we can spare the guests from waiting by check-out because all needed datas are already filled. On weekdays with many guests checking out at the same time it is very irritating for these waiting in line just because we have to fill out the missing datas before we can issue the bill.Generally it would be helpful to print the registration form with the possibility to mention the company.

As soon as we have more than 1 room within the group, the check-in does not work. The guest fills in the form and the data cannot be submitted. This is very tedious and unprofessional, as everything has to be done twice. Is there a solution?We are in employee mode on a tablet.

Hallo zusammen, für einen Kunden konfigurieren wir aktuell die Stornierungsbedingungen. Bei Gruppenbuchungen werden 3 Stornierungszeiträume eingetragen.Bei der Benamung der Stornierungsrichlinie bin ich mir unsicher, ob diese nachher ersichtlich ist auf der Gastrechnung oder die Benamung nur für internes dient.Vielen Dank! Hello everyone, we are currently configuring the cancellation policy for a customer. Hallo,weiß jemand von Euch, ob man eine geschlossene Rechnung hinsichtlich des Preises korrigieren kann?Nach Zusendung einer Rechnung haben wir 3 Tage später erst gemerkt, dass wir anstatt Übernachtung ohne Frühstück für 102,- €, Übernachtung mit Frühstück für 102,-€ abgerechnet haben. Zwar kann ich das Frühstück nachträglich, mit einer neu geöffneten Rechnung, rausstornieren, jedoch kann ich den Übernachtungspreis nicht nach oben korrigieren. kann man dies grundsätzlich nicht oder was muss ich da etwas beachten?Vielen Dank  Voraus!simone Strasser-Bumb

We’ve just started using Salto and the Mews Salto Integration and it works fine so far but there are two big questions for us:When the keys are programmed, the authorization automatically expires based on the departure time. Is there a way to adjust this? If we adjust the departure time in the service options, this time is automatically displayed, for example, in the guest portal. However, we want the time to be communicated, for example, departure at 7:00 p.m., but the keys are valid for a little longer, until 7:15 p.m. Same for earlier.   Currently, if you program a key for a room, it deactivates all the others. For example, a guest arrives and you program two keys. Later, they come back and want another one (e.g., for a child, or someone else coming into the room a day later). If I then program an additional key, all the others become invalid. That makes sense in principle, but it would be useful to be able to choose whether to program additional keys or replace the old ones. Is tha

For this, I need to export a list from Mews that includes the following information: Country of origin Check-out date Purpose of stay (e.g., tourism, business, etc.) Number of nights Number of guests Number of occupied rooms Does anyone know how I can generate or customize a report in Mews that includes all these fields? Dear community,Can anyone help me out with setting up the age categories correctly? some Booking.com reservations end up with wrong age categories for teenagers.In Mews I have the following age categories:Adult Teenager (13-17 yo) Child (5-12 yo) Infant/Toddler (0-4 yo)These are (hopefully) correctly labeled to Siteminder via Mews marketplace → Age categories.In Booking.com I have 3 children age categories set up with the same intervals. However, when a reservation is made in Booking.com with a teenager, it ends up as a Child (5-12 yo) in Mews. Which setting am I missing?please advise, thank you!
