Hello!How are you supposed to find the right target bill when moving items? It might seem easy, but when you have several guests of the same company in house or from the same travel agency with routing rules applied, then you might find numerous entries in the move items to window… see an example:Most of the time you just want to move the items from the current reservation to an already open company bill in the same reservation, but it’s not clear which one it is … especially when the open balance is the same for many… wouldn’t it be a good idea to highlight or list the open bills of the current reservation first?What are your thoughts or hints  ?Regards,Jean-Philipp.

We are looking for a way to customize our emails for certain dates. For example, we want to send a different confirmation email when people book for certain dates (think of Christmas). We would like to know if there are solutions for this within Mews or with an integration.

Hi, is there a way to turn off the Overbooking function?We’re a small property with very different categories, we therefore do not want to be able to be overbooked as guests choose & book the category they want - and so usually do not want to upgrade to a higher category.For example we have just had an overbooking for one category which is a room but the higher category is a self catering house!  We are on diffusive.thank you so much in advance!

Hi All,Is anyone else struggling with routing rules not followed when there is an amendment on a reservation and have a good workaround? (😭)For example we have routing for Airbnb to route to the company profile but if a reservation amendment comes from the channel manager the routing is no longer followed and re-assigns the nights to the guest.This means when a guest checks in on kiosk they are then required to pay for the reservation.  Trying to avoid manual reservation checks each day which is not efficient and not the goal of having Mews, are others finding this issue?

Hello,We want to use the Mews Dasboard in our office on large screens to have a up to date overview of bookings, arrivals and check-outs. But after a few hours we have to log on to Mews again. How can we arrange to have the Mews Dashboard vissable, refreshed but not have to log on every few hours?

Good evening everyone,  As background, we are a 100% self service hotel. We do not have a receptionist sitting at a desk in the lobby. We utilize the MEWS kiosk. We operate out of Costa Rica, where the MEWS terminal is not an option. Guests all have paid 100% of their reservation before they set foot in the lobby.  One of our methods of ensuring an easy payment on checkout day is to always have an (enabled) card on file. For single bookings, that is not an issue, as the card is added and enabled automatically. For group bookings however, this is not possible to do as guests don’t book their own rooms. We are trying to find a way to avoid manually adding guests credit cards for group bookings of let’s say 20+ rooms. Both at reception and calling people before their arrival is very intrusive. Sending guests a 1 dollar payment request before their arrival is actually feasible though. The issue with that is that it doesn’t save the card, and so we can’t use it. My question is: is there a w

Hi gyus How do you manage having a currency conversion rate in the reception where it is lower than the official without changing the currency rate in mews? if we change the rate in MEWS it will affect the IBE exchange rate. we are NOT interested in adding fees. 

Hello, we connected Duve to Mews for our guest journey. Now we are accepting Payments in Duve via Stripe. To make sure the payment gets from Duve to Mews and the guest invoice we need to find the Billing ID so that we can sync the data. Does anyone know how to find the correct infos. However, we're interested in adjusting this to a three-night minimum during the peak summer season, specifically from June 20th to September 22nd.We'd like the three-night minimum to apply solely to bookings with arrival dates on Fridays and Saturdays. Hi Community,Currently unable to find this or post a new idea in the ideas forum so bringing this to the community team. We have had the issue for many years now that when fully booked only those with overbooking rights can split a reservation. Are we missing a workaround? Obviously we do not want to give the whole team overbooking rights and it is a waste of time needing managers to split each reservation. Thanks, 

We have a Self check in Kiosk from the MEWS at our property.The question we have for the Mews Community is if a guest trying to do a self check in, the check in kiosk will bring the guest to the payment page to pay for the room. The question we have is what an if the guest has prepaid the reservation and we already have received the virtual card for the payment or in another scenario the guest card is already been pre authorized by the system.So in any of those situation the guest might end up paying twice, does anyone have any idea how to make it go through with out ending up charging the guest twice? Also we do take the credit card for incidental if the reservation is prepaid will the kiosk ask for a credit card for incidental by itself? If anyone using the kiosk can help us with our question please let us know about it or if needed more information on our question do let us know as well. Thank you! 

Hello in the round,We have here in Germany as of the 1.01.2024 a food tax increase from 7% to 19%, the problem that we are having is that all food products booked before the start of January for our up coming bookings have not increased to the new tax of 19% so that we have to go through all bookings individually and manuel cancel the food products and repost so that the tax changes from 7% to 19% is corrected. This is more than time consuming and wanted to ask if there is another way to bypass having to do this. In the background we have changed the tax but it seems that Mews was unable to correct the pre-exisiting posted food items from 7% to 19%. The biggest problem is that on every booking the breakfast must be corrected… which is very time consuming. We have tried to contact Mew Tech, but have yet to receive feedback if they can correct it, and have been informed that we should leave all bookings open until the problem is corrected. Sorry, but that is not an option for us.

Hi fellow users!We want to prevent check-ins to be completed if there is an outstanding balance. we are operating Hostels and all our bookings should be pre-paid. We’ve tried using the “preauthorization required” under visit option, but that didn’t work as expected. any other solutions before I raise this as an improvement request. thanks!Michael

Hello, most of the time, my team forgets to check the "send marketing emails" option in the profile internals when checking in through the browser. However, when using Mews Kiosk, this doesn't happen since the button is on the profile filling screen. Is there any way to have this button available in the profile section through MEWS for the Browser as well? 

Hi,I am looking to understand in more detail the automatic settlement logic for reservations with unassociated payment cards. Basically, I want to take manual preauths for automatic preauths that have failed, either for those reservations with unassociated cards or for those whose associated card has failed. I am afraid that if I take a manual preauth and it passes, then if the customer subsequently  fills his online check in form, the auto preauth may be triggered, resulting in a double preauth. What logic does mews use when an auto preauth fails, I have done some tests where it doesn’t seem to reschedule the auto preauth even if the customer subsequently associates a payment card but I am not sure if that behaviour is 100% true in all cases...

Hello Mews addicts,who can help me for setting up a booking banner on our wordpress site. Right now I have a booking button that links to a url outside of our own site. Hi,We have the new Expedia Direct integration and are having problems with Expedia Collect reservations not coming in correctly. In my integration config, I have set it up like sorate id                     Payment type99999999               Hotel Collect.Both the Hotel Collect and Expedia Collect bookings are catched by this mapping but the Expedia Collects  come in with wrong daily rates. Also here in Quebec we have different tax requirements for Expedia Collect and Hotel Collect so it would be very nice if the integration could route the Expedia Collects to a different rate. Is this possible ? There is a lot of Info out there about appending an A to the rate or using a different expedia notification code or trying to get expedia to change its rates so that the Expedia Collects have a different numeric id (the number before the A) but I have not succeeded in implementing any of them. At present, we have to go through every Expedia booking manually to change its rates and taxes and it

Hi again users!Is it possible to automate the creation of Payment Request email? We have bookings paid at hotel coming through an OTA without the CVV, so we want to trigger the payment link from MEWS Payment, instead of having to manually trigger it for each booking. thanks!Michael

I am trying to see if there are any existing ways to have MEWS flag or send a report for any reservations made where the name of the guest and the name of the card on file do not match. We like to make sure guests book with a card issued under their name.  Are there any existing features to assist with this? Or does anyone have any suggestions? 

For online check-in, you now have the choice of checking in with your name + booking number or just your surname.I don't understand why both are required when creating just the key. If a guest has lost their room card, they don't automatically have their booking number to hand. Can this also be changed for the key setting? It doesn't make sense to me.Thanks

Genauso bei den Artikeln selbst - wenn ich den Betrag ändere, übernimmt es das für alle Buchungen oder nur neue?Vielleicht hat jemand von Euch schon einen Plan und könnte mir helfen. :)Dankeschön und viele Grüße
