I’m trying to extend a guest that was supposed to check out two days ago.  When I change the departure date to a future date, I keep getting the error message "Cannot add or modify consumed items".  What does that mean and how can I extend the guest?

Hello @Begga,

thank you for the question!

I checked your operational history window and that is in order.

So I suggest opening a support ticket as this might be a tech problem!

You can DM me the case number so I can monitor the status! 🙌

Hi @Begga ,

while your operational editable window is set to 7 days your accounting editable window is set to 1 day (menu > settings > property > finance > accounting configuration). In this case, Mews will prioritise the shortest window which prevented you from processing an operational change outside the window of 1 day.

If you regularly need to make changes outside the 1 day window, you might want to consider changing your accounting window. Keep in mind, once you pull accounting reports from Mews, you want to avoid making further in-system changes to that period. For that reason, we only allow a maximum window of 7 days (most properties have a window of 1 or 2 days).

On a personal recommendation, I’d advise keeping these two windows the same

Hope this helps!
Matt
