Hello Mewters!

Question: I need a guest communication add-on, capable of doing few things.. I wonder if this is possible. We want to make the whole customer journey digital without any human interfering at our end. What I would need is:
1) Online check-in with ID check
2) Automated, unique pin codes for SALTO door locks, created and sent to guests
3) is possible, we would like to make upselling in our apartments. Example: you stay in an apartment, you see a locked boxed and would like to purchase the things inside. Scan the QR code, pay, get pincode/mobile key and open the lock. 

How would you solve these issues? The first two are crucial, last one on the wish list. Thanks for help!

It is on the Mews roadmap, i believe, to enable ID scanning/checking as part of the online checkin process, similar to in the Mews kiosk. They are also adding Salto locks to the Mews digital key in Guest portal soon. So you could achieve most of this without relying on custom solutions or other apps i guess.

 

There are a few third party apps that could achieve something like this. For example i have used Duve before, it doesn’t have actual ID check i think, but the guest can upload ID documents. It has lots of customisation options for sending checkin codes and other info to the guest depending on their reservation options.

It also works with Salto space locks that are bluetooth enabled.

It will also generate QR codes to link to certain pages of their “guest app” for upsells or other things you want to connect to the physical space, for example a vending machine. It is quite heavily customisable too so you can integrate with other systems.

At another place we made an online breakfast order form connected via Zapier where the guest chose the items they want and then the products were added to their bill.
