Do housekeeping have access to POS in the Mews app? Then they can add products directly to the room bill if the guest is still in house.
Thank you for your reply.
That’s a little bit my problem. Most of the times our guests are checkin out before housekeeping is cleaning the rooms. What can I do in this kind of cases? :)
Hi @Pierrick
Thank you for reaching out to the Mews Community. My name is Nicolai from the Support Team, and I will be sharing some insights about your inquiry.
@dbarnesen provided excellent advice on posting minibar charges to ensure they are correctly applied to the guest's bill.
In addition, I understand that you are looking for a report in Mews that can generate minibar postings before a guest checks out. The Product Checklist report offers an overview of the items purchased or consumed by in-house guests during their stay. This report can be filtered by specific products or additional services available at your property, and you can also refine the results by selecting the reservation status—arrival, departure, or stayover—for a specified date.
I have attached the help guide here for additional information - The Product checklist. You can have this printed prior to your departure time so see which guests have consumed items in the minibar.
I do agree that in daily operations, housekeeping may not always have the opportunity to inspect the room before guests’ departure. If you haven't already implemented, the online check-out portal is an excellent tool that allows guests to complete their check-out process before leaving the property. Upon receiving an invitation to check out online, guests can report minibar items they have consumed and settle the charges themselves. They can also update their departure time, ensuring a seamless check-out experience while reducing the likelihood of late charges. Here are some help guides that can provide additional information on our Guest Portal - The online check-out journey in the Guest Portal, Setting up online check-out.
I hope I was able to address your concern. Have a great weekend ahead!:)
