Hello — we’d like to test payment automation for card pre-authorization. How does this work for hotels that are already using it? My main concern is that pre-authorizations might be attempted on virtual cards or travel-agency cards. Has anyone had success with this? Thanks! 🌼

In the **Match and Merge** function for guest profiles, we often get suggestions to merge profiles based on phone numbers — but in many cases, the phone number in the guest profile actually belongs to the **travel agency**, not the guest.This means the profiles often do **not** belong to the same guest, so we usually choose **“Keep separate.”**Would it be possible to adjust the matching algorithm so that it **ignores certain phone numbers** (specifically those belonging to travel agencies) when matching guest profiles?I’m also curious if other countries are experiencing the same issue — that **bookings from TA's via Amadeus** always lack the guest’s email and use the **travel agency’s phone number** instead of the guest’s.I’d like to check if this problem is local or more widespread. We have multiple integrations with tour operators, including Booking.com. With some of these partners, we settle commissions. Mews currently offers a global commission calculation, but this setup is insufficient for our Finance department.For example, if the commission is 15% and the hotel price (including breakfast but excluding city tax) is €100 on Booking.com, is there a way to record €15 as commission and €85 as accommodation & breakfast?If so, could you please advise how we can configure this in Mews?It’s important that the guest does not see the split between the commission and the accommodation.Thank you in advance for your help.

At my property, we have poolside cabanas we rent and they have been set up as Daily rentals. However, Friday through Sunday, there are two day part rental options, one for 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM and another for 4:30 PM - 9:00 PM (when we have poolside entertainment on the pool deck).I set them up in early 2024 as three different bookable services, one for Monday through Thursday with one day part, 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM, one for Friday through Sunday, 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM, and one for Friday through Sunday, 4:30 PM - 9:00 PM, doing so because I believed at the time it would not be possible to make the three different options bookable through a single bookable service.Now, more than a year later, have I overcomplicated this and is it possible for me to make this a single bookable service? When guests use these services, for instance by having their card stored in their mobile or watch, the card cannot be reactivated for payment of food or other items. This happens because the technology behind it has created a virtual card number (different from the guest’s real one). I’m wondering if anyone knows a workaround? Thanks!

We would like to include more booking-specific details in the email sent after check-in — specifically the Mews Booking Number. This is important because guests need this number to generate a new key at the kiosk if they lose their original one. However, I can’t find where to access existing fields containing data from the booking? Where is it hidden 😅👍

When charging Secret Escapes Virtual cards in Mews, it's sending the guest a payment successful email, but does not for our other OTA virtual cards?

Does anyone know if it’s possible to *mirror* the guest registration card digitally — for example, on a tablet — and let the guest fill it out at check-in?We don’t use paper registration cards since we are **Green Key certified**.As far as I know, the guest can only complete the registration card through:a. **Online check-in**b. **Kiosk check-in**However, I’ve heard that the receptionist can also *mirror* the digital registration card during a regular check-in.Can anyone confirm or deny whether this function is available? 

We are new to MEWS. To the users that have experience with MEWS and ID Scanning, which ID scanner do you you recommend for MEWS at front desk running windows PC? For example Logitech webcam, any specific ID scanners, etc. Please suggest some options. Thank you in advance.

Hello,is there a way to hide the room rate on the reservation confirmation when the guest has made their booking through an OTA that will pay for the room with a VCC? Our issue is with Expedia bookings that are paid with Expedia VCC; and we receive Expedia reservations through iHotelier channel manager.I know that there is a general setting to exclude reservation confirmation sending for bookings through a channel manager, and that the email editor has a condition ‘Unless there is a travel agency’ available, and that by configuring billing automation the room charges can be directed to the OTA. We do want to send the reservation confirmation to the guests booking through an OTA  We would like exclude specific OTA bookings, like Expedia channel-collect bookings, from having the room rate displayed.  I believe - I do NOT know as I haven’t tested this - the billing automation cannot be modified so that the room charges are routed to

Ist es richtig, dass man die auszuwählenden Klassifizierungen (Fluggesellschaft, Militär, wichtig,...) nicht ändern kann? Ist das in nächster Zeit geplant? Das wäre sehr wichtig - sicher nicht nur für uns. Vor allem in Bezug auf unser CRM für die Übertragung der Kundenkategorie… Bitte um Rückmeldung! 

What is going on with the rate management? Until yesterday I could simply select a date, a window would open up, and I could override the price.Now I first have to select the date, then a window opens with the pricing details, then I have to select ‘edit’, then I have to select the date, and only then can I change the price (‘Base price (incl. tax)’*)Is this something temporary? 

Hallo zusammen,wir haben aktuell das Thema mit der MEWS WBE und der SIchtbarkeit auf Google (Google Ads)Als Partner arbeiten wir aktuell mit Rategain zusammen.Dies funktioniert nur so “semi” erfolgreich, wir haben in manchen Hotels die volle Funktion, in manchen werden wir zwar als günstigste Plattform angezeigt wenn man dann aber den entsprechende Link anklickt stimmt der auf google angezeigte Preis nicht mit der WBE überein.Habt ihr hier Erfahrungen?Wir wollen vermeiden auf eine andere WBE wie HNS oder ähnlich umzusteigen.Vielen Dank für eure Erfahrungen.
