Dear community,Can anyone help me out with setting up the age categories correctly? some Booking.com reservations end up with wrong age categories for teenagers.In Mews I have the following age categories:Adult Teenager (13-17 yo) Child (5-12 yo) Infant/Toddler (0-4 yo)These are (hopefully) correctly labeled to Siteminder via Mews marketplace → Age categories.In Booking.com I have 3 children age categories set up with the same intervals. However, when a reservation is made in Booking.com with a teenager, it ends up as a Child (5-12 yo) in Mews. Which setting am I missing?please advise, thank you!

In some cases, clients book multiple rooms for various dates throughout the year and request a short and detailed email summarizing what they’ve booked.Up until now, they've been receiving very long emails listing all services in detail – is there a better way to do this?

Ein Gast hat per E-Mail gebucht, und die Reservierung wurde manuell in Mews eingetragen. Wir haben bereits eine Zahlungsaufforderung gesendet, und der Gast hat einen kleinen Betrag bezahlt. Allerdings wurde die Kreditkarte nicht im Gastprofil gespeichert, da Mews die Karte nach der Bezahlung deaktiviert hat.Wir möchten die Kreditkarte über Mews erneut anfordern, damit sie im Profil des Gastes aktiv hinterlegt wird und im Bedarfsfall (z. B. No-Show oder Zusatzkosten) belastet werden kann. Wie können wir das über Mews umsetzen?

Good morning 😊 Small question about the visualised occupancy which one can find on the dashboard / home screen.  Whilst I understand the blue and black lines giving an idea about the check-ins and check-outs, is it possible to remove these lines? Habt ihr auch das Problem, dass die Namen der anreisenden Gäste bei Gruppenbuchungen einfach plötzlich weg sind?Ich habe bereits ein Ticket aufgemacht, aber wir kommen da nicht weiter.Wenn ich die einzelnen Namen nach der Buchung den Zimmern einer Gruppenbuchung zuordne, werden teilweise (und für mich nach keinem ersichtlichen Schema) einfach einzelne anreisende Personen entfernt. Oder ein Datensatz wird überschrieben, obwohl beide Personen eines Zimmers angelegt waren und ordentlich eingecheckt haben.Es ist grade etwas durcheinander und bedarf etwas Nacharbeit.Es fällt spätestens dann auf, wenn ich die Statistik für das Statistische Landesamt ziehe und nicht zugeordnete Einträge habe. Das sind dann z.B. Doppelzimmer, bei denen nur ein Gast eingetragen ist, obwohl für 2 gebucht ist. Die Gäste haben beim Check-in auch den Meldeschein am Kiosk komplett ausgefüllt, Daten sind also da. Werden nur nach dem Check-in, warum auch immer, entfernt. Aufgefallen ist

Liebe Community, wir haben immer wieder das Problem, dass Gäste beim Auschecken am KIOSK nicht zum Bezahlen aufgefordert werden, obwohl sie noch einen offene Rechnung zu begleichen haben. Der Rechnungsverantwortliche ist auch immer der Gast selbst, also daran kann es nicht liegen.Hat jemand ebenso dieses Problem, bzw. welche Lösung gibt es hierzu?Besten Dank,Helene

Hi, I’m trying to figure out how to correct an error in a rate on a closed bill. For example, a guest has checked out, and the rate posted was 10,000 x 4 nights. This is wrong, and we need to adjust this off. When I’m adjusting with an additional service in the same accounting category (STR Room Rental), it is not showing as an adjustment to the Room revenue, it’s showing as an adjustment to the product revenue.This is affecting our reporting and other integrations like the RMS. Are we doing something wrong, is something configured incorrectly, or is this working as intended?  

Hi all,I’m looking at the Bill management settings (screenshot attached). There’s an option “Allow modifying closed bills” which can be toggled on/off.My question is:If this option is turned off, does it apply universally to all users including Admins, or do certain roles (like Admin or higher-privileged roles) still retain the ability to edit closed invoices regardless of this setting?I’d like to clarify whether this is a strict platform-wide restriction, or if Admins can override it.Thanks in advance for any clarification!

Hello everyone,I am having a problem with automatic reminder emails for optional reservations in MEWS. Here is the context:An agency made an optional reservation for a customer.The customer received the automatic optional reservation reminder email, which allowed them to see the price of their reservation and cancel it themselves via the Mews Guest Portal link, which is something we definitely do not want.According to MEWS documentation:The recipient of the email is always the owner of the reservation (the main guest), and if the main guest's email address is not provided, the email is sent to the organizer (the agency).In our case, our policy is to record all customer emails as soon as we receive them, so the problem occurs systematically for agency customers and certain groups.The automatic reminder email is very useful for tracking reservations, but we would like to limit its sending to certain types of customers, for example:

Hello 👋,Our hotels use availability blocks and booking engine links primarily for groups and special events.Is there a way to specify custom terms and conditions for each block?I noticed that during the booking process there is only a link to the general terms & conditions, which in the case of blocks are likely not fully applicable.I also cannot find any option to add visible notes, special terms & conditions, etc.  

Hi all,We don’t have an MDM in place yet. Right now we manually restart all kiosk iPads once a week for updates and because they run 24/7. I’m looking to set this up properly so we can automate updates and reboots and keep the devices stable.What I’m trying to achieve Remote weekly restart (soft reset). App updates for the Mews Kiosk. IOS updates in a fixed night window. Keep the iPads locked in Single App Mode so guests can’t switch apps after the update. Questions Which MDMs are you using successfully with Mews Kiosk iPads?(Mosyle, SimpleMDM, Jamf Now/Pro, Intune, Meraki, other? Can you fully automate a weekly flow like this? Turn Single App Mode off Update the Mews Kiosk app Install ios updates if available Remote restart Turn Single App Mode on again (auto-launch kiosk)

Hi, I need to overbook my property over a couple of dates. Specifically, I need to add additional inventory to a group block over sold out dates, and the system will not let me do so. How do I get around this?  

We received a request at our hotel from a guest who would like to put together a gift package for his staff members.It concerns a certain number of staff members to whom he would like to give credit for two overnight stays + breakfast + 1 dinner + welcome drink. How would you recommend setting this up? 

Guten Tag zusammen, kann mir jemand evtl einen Ratschlag geben, und zwar, es geht um Frühstück ( inklusive leistung ) , wird mir nicht richtig in Managerbericht angezeigt. Rechnung sieht so aus beispiel : *Logis 200€ *Frühstück split logis -12,00€ *Frühstück split speisen 12,00€ Gesamt 200,00€ ist das richtig gemacht oder kann mir jemand ratschlag geben
