Has anyone modified the selection to internal notes?

In terms of if we wanted to add something like breakfast notes.

Hi @Kendall Quadling

Good question! My name is Yann from Mews support and I hope I can bring a bit of clarification here :)

At the moment, the list of classifications for internal notes isn’t something properties can modify themselves – so you unfortunately can’t just add a new custom type like “Breakfast notes” to that dropdown.

What you can do today is:

  • Use one of the existing classifications and put the breakfast‑related information in the content of the note, and/or

  • If “Breakfast notes” (or similar F&B‑specific tags) would really help your workflows, add it as a feature request in the Mews feedback forum so Product can evaluate adding it as a new global classification.

Internally, this is by design: classifications are fixed on our side and not editable in the UI; changes would need to go through Product as a feature request.

Hope that clarifies what’s possible right now!

Yann

@yann.isakovic we would realy love to have the ability to update the classifaction to our needs.
For now we use the existiing one and for example military is a golf costumer.

Anything on the road map that it might be possible to configure?

Hey @Johannes Rott !

Right now the list of guest classifications in Mews is fixed – you can activate/deactivate the existing ones, but it’s not yet possible to rename them or add your own, so what you’re doing with “military = golf customer” is a known workaround on our side too.

Customisable guest classifications are on the product backlog as part of a broader guest-recognition/CRM initiative, but there’s no confirmed timeline I can safely promise yet. I’ll add your use case (military/golf) to the existing feedback so it’s included in the prioritisation.

Thanks a lot for raising this!

We have traditionally used a workaround but we are cleaning up the system in our period of growth and we were wondering, it there was a scalable work around. if it is not in the bingo cards we will find a workaround which would workbest. Thank you for your responses.
