Google Hotel Search integration ending - any Free alternatives?

Are there any free options to continue automatically listing rates with Google Hotel Search after it ends its integration with Mews on July 1?    On May 10, we received this email from MEWS announcing the discontinuation of the program. We appreciated the ability to list on Google Hotels via the MEWS integration in the past. It worked fine, and it was free.We’re looking for alternatives now that don’t cost money. Posting in this forum because didnt see any discussion about the ending of this integration yet.  “Hi Mewser, We're writing to let you know that Google has decided to discontinue its Google Hotel Search integration with Mews, effective July 1st, 2024.   This means that as of that date, the connection between Google Hotel Search and Mews will no longer be supported.    Why? Unfortunately, this decision was made by Google, not Mews. We’re still uncertain about the reasons behind Google’s choice, but we’re actively seeking alternatives.   What’s next? MLOS & Buchungslücken

Moin in die Runde, bisher nutzen wir MEWS nur als PMS und die Buchungsmaschine noch von HNS würde gerne aber alles über MEWS laufen lassen. Wer hat hier Erfahrungen wie es mit Buchungslücken aussieht. wenn man einen MLOS eingestellt hat z.B. von 5 Nächten aber eine Lücke von 3 Nächten hat ist diese ja dann nicht buchbar. oder Gibt es hierfür eine Einstellung, hat da Jemand Erfahrung? Bei HNS gibt es einen AMO der den MLOS dann automatisch aufhebt und überschreibt. Beste Grüße Simon

Experience with the ID Scanner

I'm looking around for the best solution for the ID scanner. According to the statement for our setup manager, all data relevant for the country should be transferred with the Mews scanner. Now I have made some tests and e.g. no address is transferred for the German ID.Are there any recommendations for external scanners?Thanks for your input.

Google OTA Listings - Where do they all come from?!

When someone looks for a hotel on Google and sees the different prices, there is often many different options that can be considered “sketchy” (Bluepillow for example). I’m curious to see what your experiences are from these “OTA’s” that you may not have connected or agreed to but show up anyways. Do you know how they get their prices? How do you get them turned off? Will Google help with this or do you need to reach out to each OTA individually?

Payment provider for voucher payment

We are looking for a handy payment provider for a voucher booking feature.As far as I understand MEWS payments doesn’t allow the use of its payment function for other processes e.g. a voucher booking tool. So what is the best solution to this problem. Do you have any suggestions. Obviously a separate stripe/adyen account would be an option and would prob. add additional payment options, but maybe anyone has a recommendation we could have a look into. Hello everyone, I am curious about your thoughts and solutions:To those of you who allow guest to choose their own specific room at an extra charge.How do you manage this practically and system wise. To my knowledge this is not a feature in mews (yet). How does your Revenue Manager feel about having a space “blocked” for X nights when a different room could have resultet in an additional room being sold? To those who have chosen not to: how come?what were your thoughts and processes?looking forward to hearing from all of you :)

PO for company "workaround" extended version

Hello everybody This thread is not quite a new one but more of an addition to an already existing topic (see below)Indeed, on the feedback forum, I came accross an additionnal trick explained in order to have a PO number appearing on the invoice as it is possible for the reservation linked to a travel agent but for company reservation related. I’ve been using it since October 2023 and it work pretty fine You can just create a dedicated “fake” travel agency profile called for example **PO Company** (you can of course use an already existing “real one” . You will understand why further below) When you encode a company reservation you just then have to also put up the travel agency to obtain the “Travel agency confirmation number” case (see below) You then put your PO number and you are good to go NB: you can also delete afterwards the “not needed on the invoice or reservation folio”-travel agency without deleting the “Travel agency confirmation number” case => Hence no confusion NB 2

Using bookable Services for Massage Rooms in our Spa/ Wellness

We have 4 Massage Rooms in our Spa. We are thinking of adding them as a bookable/ hourly service in mews. Is anyone doing that already and can help with experiences? The main Problems we see yet are thatwe can only book full hours in the reservaition interface we have added 1 rate for each masseur, but we cannot restrict the rates with availabilities, so 1 masseur could get booked multiple times
