Hi everyone, We’ve configured payment policies in Mews for our main rate groups (“Non-Refundable,” “Best Available Rate,” and “Long Stay”) to automatically charge the guest’s credit card at the time of booking confirmation (mode: automatic, timing: confirmation, method: charge from payment card). This setup was mainly intended for direct bookings on our website, where we also want to enable alternative payment methods. However, we’ve recently noticed that these automatic policies are also being applied to channel manager bookings (e.g., via Booking.com), which is causing issues. For every channel booking, we now receive an “Action required – failed to charge card” message, as we prefer to handle these payments manually. I have two questions regarding best practices: Rate groups vs. payment policies – Does it make sense to create separate rate groups for direct bookings and channel manager bookings (e.g., separate BAR, BAR 7 nights, NRF rates) to apply different payment policies? – Or i

Guten Morgen, gibt es hier in der Community jemanden der Duetto in Kombi mit MEWS erfolgreich verwendet? Gibt es Tools die mit MEWS nicht funktionieren? (oft stellt sich das ja erst nach Integration raus)Hauptsächlich geht es mir um die Automatisierung. Das Restriktionen setzten. Und um die Möglichkeit in Duetto Raten mit verschiedenen Abschlägen einzustellen über eine Restriktion (z.B. die Frühbucherrate). Kann MEWS das einwandfrei umsetzten? Über einen Austausch hierzu würde ich mich freuen.Vielen Dank und liebe GrüßeNina

Hallo zusammen,weiß jemand, ob es Änderungen in der Zuweisung von Stornobedingungen geben soll?Ich verstehe nicht, warum man die Stornofristen nicht unabhängig von einer Rate hinterlegen kann.@Mews gibt es nicht die Möglichkeit die Restriktionen als zusätzliches Reservierungsfeld einzubauen?Als Messehotel ist es echt anstrengend mit über 20 Raten arbeiten zu müssen, aufgrund verschiedener Stornofristen.Vielleicht hat ja jemand einen Anwendertipp? Danke und viele Grüße

Hi Everyone! I see that a lot of the time the email customization is a bit simple. With the HTML allowing you to fully customize these templates, I would love to see what you have done with yours. How have you customized your templates? Do you have any screenshot examples to show? Is there anything that you would suggest as a best practise? What softwares did you use to make the templates (if any)?@BertSerry I know that Yalo Hotel is an incredible example of one. Hi thereLast week, the new passkeys feature was highlighted in the release notes.We are using the 2FA option for all teams who have access to their own personal mail address.A link is sent to the user via mail. It would be difficult for a hacker to have access to the mailbox of the user so quickly.Concerning the passkeys, we are wondering how waterproof the QR-code is?What are your thoughts on this?

Hi everyone,  We have a reception desk with 2 computers and multiple people who use them and nobody was logging out of their mews account, so the first person who logged into mews that morning had every action on their name. Has anyone had this error message that the automatic billing is removed when you change another rate in an existing reservation?I have set up automation for one company, but also selected all rates in the settings.Best regards,Jasmin

Does anyone know if Mews is planning a feature where you get an error message or notification if the mail transfer was not successful? It is not possible to check every send status after a confirmation or invoice. Also, many mails from mews seem to end up in the spam folder. 

What is absolutely missing in the Excel template is the column with language. You always have to go back to the profile to enter the language so that communication takes place in the guest's language. Please add this urgently!!!

Am I crazy to think the current SOP for optional reservations in MEWS does not make sense? Currently:FD: Manually create Optional Reservation MEWS: Optional Reservation Email sent GUEST: clicks on email and then “Confirms” MEWS: Reservation Confirmed MEWS: “Reservation Confirmation” automatically sent to guest which contains link to “Online check-in” FD: Requests Guest to check-in online (even though stay date could be months in advance) so that credit card details are taken GUEST: Checks in Online (hopefully!) and enters CC info FD: We can charge the reservationThat Step 6 winds up being very confusing and frustrating for guests. As they don’t understand why their reservation is not confirmed after they get a confirmation email. Isn’t it the card information that confirms the reservation?  Isn’t a reservation without payment information is fundamentally not confirmed? Am I wrong on this?Thanks!Ethan

Hello, Just an idea: Would it be possible to have the ‘house use’ function with the possibility of assigning multiple rooms at once? Currently you have to do it one by one.
