Reservation Report for spoecific Space for range of dates

Hello  Wondering if anyone can help me do this. I need to create a reservation sales report for Summer season for a specific space- may 1 2025 to oct 31 2025I think I know how but on the interval option I cannot see the ability to do a range. I see current month, year, quarter etc. Any help , much appreciated. Thanks.

Is there a way to restrict a rate in the Mews booking engine to mobile only? We want to offer Mobile path discounts on OTAs, but I cannot see a way to match this on the Mews Booking Engine.

Paypal-Zahlungen bei Buchungen über Channelmanager

Hallo zusammen!Ich stehe mal wieder vor einem Rätsel.Wir bieten seit Kurzem die Möglichkeit, das bei Buchungen über unsere Website (IBE vom Channelmanager, nicht von Mews) nicht nur per Kreditkarte sondern auch per Paypal bezahlt werden kann. Wenn eine Rate gebucht wird, die direkt bezahlt werden muss, schickt Mews direkt diese Mail an den Gast, dass nicht abgebucht werden kann, weil keine Zahlkarte hinterlegt ist. Der Gast hat aber bereits per Paypal bezahlt. Selbst wenn ich die Zahlung Minuten später verbucht habe, ist die Mail schon raus. Das führt bei den Gästen zu Verwirrung.Gibt es eine Möglichkeit, dass die Paypal-Zahlung irgendwie von Mews registriert wird und diese Mail, dass nicht abgebucht werden kann, nicht rausgeht?Wie handhabt ihr das bei Paypal-Zahlungen?Vielen Dank und viele GrüßeHeike

MEWS Integration for Local Gym Access & Breakfast Partners

Hello All, we’re quite new to MEWS and this is my first question in this community. Attending Unfold in Amsterdam next week while searching for Hotels I recognized at BobW guest options for Local gym access and Breakfast partners all integrated in the Mews Booking Engine as it seems. Does anyone know what software integration can be used for such nice features? We are in the city centre of Hamburg/Germany and surrounded from nice Fitness Studios and Cafés. United States OTA rates

Just finished onboarding but we have not been able to setup our prepaid OTA rates correctly. Are any of you in an area where Expedia rates are programmed in your PMS as net rates and tax is withheld and paid by Expedia? If yes, how did you set up your rates in Mews?

GA4 Purchase Event Not Logged

I have been working through the various pieces of documentation to setup GA4 and the MEWS Widget with mixed results. After implementing the setup, i opened google tag manager in preview mode as well as GA4 in debug mode to check that events were being triggered. While navigating through my website, events were triggered successfully up until where i would expect the purchase event to trigger. While a purchase was made and all events leading up to the purchase were triggered, the purchase was not triggered at all, as well as no page location or page name triggering.  I have double checked my setup and implementation a number of times with no obvious errors, and also reviewed the community topics (some of which seem to have a similar problem but never got an answer).  Hoping to find some guidance from anyone that has had the same issue.

Metasearch Options with Mews Booking Engine

Hello!What options exist for metasearch with the Mews booking engine? Are there any? I’m seeing Mirai, but that looks like it would be a new booking engine solution in general that supports metasearch. Our CRS is Siteminder, but this isn’t an option for a booking engine for us.

Dear Mews community,do you know if we do have a tools to track repeating guests? I know it is visible in the timeline, but that is not enough for tracking in reporting.What is your approach, how do you track repeating guests prior the arrival? Manual report or some data from MEWS?Thank you,Dan

New OTA on my Channel Manager - how will reservations be processed by Mews

Dear reader, I am in the process of starting a cooperation with a new OTA. The reservations will reach Mews via our standard Channel Manager (Stardekk).Anything I need to do so that the reservation gets read into Mews correctly? (eg. should I like a ‘Travel Agency’ or something? Or will the reservation simply drop, mentioning the name of the new OTA?)Thanks ! :-)

Wie rechne ich einen Gast ab, der über AirBnB gebucht hat?

Hallo!Kann mir jemand bei der Abrechnung eines AirBnB-Gastes helfen?Die Zahlung kommt ja dann über AirBnB und der Gast muss bei uns nichts bezahlen. Richte ich dann eine Steuerungsregel ein oder wie handhabt ihr das?Der von AirBnB ausgezahlte Betrag ist dann allerdings auch um die Kommission vermindert. Wie geht ihr damit um? Bei Expedia Collect wird der verminderte Betrag übertragen, bei AirBnB aber, soweit ich das gesehen habe, nicht.Dann habe ich außerdem noch das Problem, dass die Kreditkartendaten vom Gast mit übermittelt wurden und es bei uns bei der Rate so eingestellt ist, dass automatisch die Kreditkarte belastet wird. Somit hat der Gast jetzt doppelt bezahlt. Alles ein bißchen blöd gelaufen.Wer kann mir Tipps geben, damit das besser läuft? Danke im Voraus!Viele GrüßeHeike

Hallo zusammen!Wir bei der VAYA Group befinden uns mitten in unserem Umstellungsprozess auf Mews. Wir haben jetzt unsere ersten 3 Hotels live, und es ist eine Frage aufgetaucht, bei der ihr uns vielleicht helfen könnt.Wir haben bei VAYA regelmäßig Busgruppen, bei denen wir gemäß dem Meldengesetz eine Gruppenmeldung machen können, bei der nur der Reiseleiter die Meldung unterschreiben muss.Die Daten unserer Mitreisenden (Name, Geburtsdatum) lassen wir im Voraus ausfüllen und sind bereits in Mews.Wie geht ihr mit solchen Busgruppen um und wie meldet ihr diese Gruppen bei Feratel oder Capcorn an?Laut Feratel sollten wir das über Mews machen, aber wie wir das am besten machen sollten, ist uns leider unklar.Vielen Dank im Voraus für eure Hilfe!Liebe Grüße,Judith

Fake emails

Phishing emails sent to guests – are others experiencing this?We are currently experiencing an issue where fraudulent emails are being sent to our guests. These emails contain their reservation number and urge them to enter their credit card details via a link.What’s particularly concerning is that the emails include both the correct email address and reservation number for upcoming stays.We use Mews as our only system where both guest email addresses and reservation numbers are stored – so we would like to know if others are experiencing similar issues or are aware of any potential security breach in Mews?

Keycutting Mews > Visionline

Hi Community,Has anyone else experienced issues with keycutting from Mews to Visionline for large rooms?Keys for rooms of 4 guests or smaller, works fine. Rooms of 6 or more guests, keys cannot be cut via Mews and must be cut directly in visionline. The mapping within Mews has been checked, the settings within visionline have been checked. Support from both companies cannot figure it out.  Hoping someone has already discovered the magic setting to get this working!

Secret Escapes: wie richtig anzulegen?

Hallo,Gibt es vielleicht jemand anderes, der ebenfalls mit Secret Escapes arbeitet und Duetto als Revenue Management System nutzt? Wir sind auf der Suche nach einem Prozess, wie wir die Secret Escapes Raten am besten anlegen können, wobei die VCC auch automatisch belastet werden kann (Betrag ohne Kommission) und die Netto-Preise (ohne Kommission) sowohl in Duetto als auch in Mews ankommen, aber wir dem Gast dennoch eine Rechnung mit Brutto-Preisen (inklusive Kommission) ausstellen können, wenn er danach fragt. Die Kommission wird automatisch von Secret Escapes einbehalten, daher ist es keine offene Rechnung, aber sie muss von der Buchhaltung gegengebucht werden. Daher müssen die Kommissionen als separater Posten erfasst werden.Vielleicht gibt es hier bereits erfahrene Personen, die uns dabei unterstützen können? Zahlung am Kiosk beim Check-in anfordern für unbeglichene Rechnungen

Ist es möglich, beim Check-in am Kiosk die Zahlung direkt anzufordern, wenn die Übernachtung noch nicht bezahlt ist?Wir haben nicht von allen Gästen Kreditkartendaten (nicht alle haben eine und wir bekommen aufgrund dessen einige telefonische Buchungen, da Zimmer online bei uns nur mit Kreditkarte buchbar sind) und wer dann über den Kiosk eincheckt, wird nicht nach einer Zahlung gefragt. Ich hätte aber gern bei Check-in eine Zahlung für das Zimmer. Am Kiosk ist ein Zahlterminal vorhanden, eine Zahlung wäre also darüber möglich (dann auch mit ec-Karte). Kann ich irgendwo einstellen, dass die Zahlung verlangt wird? Im besten Fall nach Abfrage der persönlichen Daten, noch bevor die Frage nach der Anzahl der Schlüsselkarten kommt, die Frage, wie bezahlt werden soll.Falls das noch nicht geht, wäre es ein Verbesserungsvorschlag.

"checked-in online" status change on the day of arrival

Hey everybody,I'm back with a question regarding Mews online check-in.At the moment, when someone checks in via the portal, their reservation does not automatically get started on the day of arrival.Our third-party communication software now allows us to use the deep link for the Mews guest portal, so I’d like to switch to using the Mews guest portal instead.I need the possibility to automatically start all reservations where guests have checked in online at their check-in time. Since everything is prepaid at our properties, this wouldn’t be an issue.Is there a solution for this? That would be great!Cheers,Hendrik

Best Practice for Comping a Guest’s Stay — Fiscal and Operational Questions

Ciao tutti, I’m looking for some clarity on the best way to handle a case where we decide to comp a guest’s stay due to a complaint — both from an operational and fiscal point of view in Mews. Here’s the situation and what I’ve considered so far: Scenario: The guest has paid a deposit (1 night), and we want to offer the rest of the stay for free. At first, I thought I could simply go into the Pricing tab and set the remaining nights to €0, leaving the paid night untouched. Then I considered a possibly better approach: move the paid night(s) and deposit to a separate bill, and set the rest of the stay to €0 — this way we isolate the paid and comped items. This would also help if we want to refund the paid part — since it’s separated, we can issue a credit note or refund as needed. I also moved city tax to a separate bill, since it must be paid regardless (either by the guest or by the hotel) — later we would settle it in cash, paid by the hotel.  Now here are my doubts: If we don’t refu

Why do mews want me to change my security settings?

For weeks mews brings up a popup every time i login that demands to change my 2FA security settings from app to e-mail-verification.Not only do we have special hardware and systems in place that uses the app verification i also think that e-mail-verification is less secure.Why want mews me to change that setting so aggressively to a less secure solution and is there an option to disable that? Its just so disrupting.

Stornozahlung

Wir hatten einen Business-Gast, der früher abreisen musste und bei dem die Rechnung für den Gesamtaufenthalt bereits bezahlt war. Er sagte, dass das egal ist und die Rechnung einfach so bleiben soll.Wenn ich dann das Zimmer aber freigeben möchte, kann ich keinen Check-out machen, ohne die Buchung entsprechend zu verkürzen. Bei der Verkürzung werden aber die Stornogebühren berechnet, so, wie ich sie eingetragen habe. In dem Fall würde der Gast eine Rückerstattung bekommen, die er aber gar nicht haben wollte. Wie kann ich das lösen, dass ich das Zimmer frühzeitig auschecke und ich den Stornobetrag selbst festlegen kann? Ich würde den in dem Fall einfach höher setzen, aber ich sehe keine Einflussmöglichkeit.Vielen Dank und viele GrüßeHeike

Housekeeping software

Hi All,  We are looking for some good mobile first housekeeping software to implement with Mews. The Functionality in mews is to limiting for us and is not clear enough on the housekeepers side. One of the most important features is the realtime room/space status in mews, so once a room is marked as clean by a housekeeper it should instantly update the space status to clean or inspected in Mews. Also, housekeepers should see all booked products and note’s clearly, not hidden away somewhere and what would be even better if they would get a “task list” per room with everything that should be done extra like adding rose petals or a bottle of champagne. After some research I found Flexkeeper and it looks really appealing with all the features we would like to see. But I was wondering if there is anybody here who has experience with Flexkeeper or perhaps any other tool that works for them.

Zahlung splitten

Bei uns kommt es häufiger vor, dass Online-Zahlungen gesplittet werden müssen.Beispiele:1. Ein Doppelzimmer wird von 2 Personen benutzt, von denen jeder eine Rechnung braucht. Ich habe bereits jede Position einzeln angelegt, damit ich eine Gegenbuchung machen kann und 2x neu buche (wurde so in der Schulung gezeigt). Die 2 Positionen kann ich dann ja splitten. Die Zahlung aber nicht. 2. Eine Buchung für 2 Zimmer, es werden 2 Rechnungen gebraucht, es gibt aber nur eine Zahlung. Wenn bereits online bezahlt wurde habe ich in beiden Fällen nur eine Zahlung. Wie kriege ich es hin, dass jede Rechnung geschlossen werden kann und die Zahlung anteilig auf jeder Rechnung draufsteht?Für Fall wie in 1. beschrieben ist es ja schon recht umständlich, die Positionen gegenzubuchen und als 2 Positionen neu zu buchen. Hier müsste auch dringend nachgebessert werden, dass auch Rechnungspositionen anteilig verschoben werden können. (@mews: guckt mal bei HS/3, da geht das ;-) )Vielen Dank und viele GrüßeHeik

confirmation email reservation details not detailed enough

Dear community,we still have a lot of elder guests that book with us directly.Also most guests stay with us for several days. As far as I can see the mews confirmation email only displays a total price for all services of all days together (like logis, breakfast, dog fee and whatnot).It’s very hard to do a follow up if a guest insists that a specific part of the offer was discussed differently on the phone ( e.a. dog fee 15€ instead of 30€, rate on a specific day of the stay should be different).I am sure we are not the only ones facing this problem.How did you solve this? Is there a great workaround?We would very much appreciate help :). Best wishes
