Hi everybody,

I might need your help again with rate management — maybe there's a workaround I’m not aware of.

🛏️️ For example:
We usually charge an additional €100 per night for a suite.
In high season, this increases to €200 per night.

📅 Current issue:
Right now, I have to update this manually every day, because:

  • The €100 is set as an add-on linked to the room category, while

  • The €200 needs to be manually adjusted in the daily rate during the high season.

🤔 My question:
Is there a way to apply the €200 add-on only for a specific time frame,
without affecting the original €100 setup for other dates?

Any tips or workarounds would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance 🙏

Hi @Johannes Rott

https://help.mews.com/s/article/rate-management?language=de - last section, all the way to the bottom. It is very easy to configure different rates for different time periods.

The solution with the add-on package sounds rather complicated, I don’t think I would go down that route.

Best, Marc

I second that - the 100 € for the suite should be part of the base pricing for that room type. However, as I understood the question, the spread between different room types shall change with season. Of course you can do that by manually overriding prices, but that does not work well if do yielding with the base price. For dates with a manual price override for the suite room type the price will stay even if you change the base rate. You need to manually change the price overrides for each day with every base price change, too. So, I don’t see a good way to to that within mews with dynamic pricing.

If you don’t use dynamic pricing, marc’s suggestion is spot on of course..!

We use Atomize and it allows to do price yielding for each room type group separately. So maybe you want to look into that ;-)

Best regards,

JP.
