Dear Amazing Mews Team,

We’ve been using Mews for the past four years. Over time, we’ve seen your CEO delivering inspiring keynotes, speaking about how Mews saves both time and money. Unfortunately, our experience doesn’t always match these promises — and it feels like someone is not telling the full truth.

Right now, I urgently need a development to respond to a guest request — or perhaps your CEO can personally explain to the guest why your PMS is not functioning properly or efficiently in this case.

Here is the situation:
We need to split the breakfast charges. One breakfast is covered by the guest’s company, and the second breakfast (for the accompanying person) is to be paid directly by the guest. The guest has requested a separate invoice showing this breakdown.

How can I do this in Mews?

You already allow this kind of separation in the “Kids” section — so why can’t we apply the same logic here? Who was supposed to develop this feature in the past four years?

I urgently need a solution to ensure this guest has a smooth and satisfying experience.

Looking forward to your immediate support.

@Philippe H3C same issue here. Just using MEWS for a few weeks now but we would appreciate this to.

For now we do an only one person breakfast reservation and add 2 second breakfast manually.

Hi @Philippe H3C - thanks for raising this here. I’m happy to see that you have raised a support ticket and the team has provided you with a possible solution.

In the meantime, I want to share the following for anyone who comes across this thread with similar questions:

While it is true that, at the moment, you cannot split charges on a bill in Mews Operations, there is a workaround outlined in this help article: How to split the bill between guests through a workaround

If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the community.

@Philippe H3C I agree with you, it should be possible to move them one by one.
If this is happening a lot for you and until Mews figures out a solution, you could look into creating a breakfast product that is charged “nightly” and if it’s a reservation for 2 people, delete the product “per person/night” and add the nightly one twice instead. That way you can separate them on the bill.
