Could somebody please confirm if Mews is working on a solution to enable invoice sending via PEPPOL by the end of this year? Because on the search i could ot find anything about this.

Best regards Robin

hi @barb00sa that would probably be OMNIBOOST who would be doing something like that, and they have again and again indicated that they are interested in making something like that (as they also do integrations with re to finance) but they could not say anything about this subject (we discussed this with them last february).

I guess if you also reach out to them, and perhaps also @laura.asplin or somebody from the fintech team can also reach out to them and get things rolling?

Hi @barb00sa & @mauritsbots – I reached out to our team and they are indeed looking into Peppol, however, while Peppol is a standard used in eInvoicing, we need to ensure compliance with each country's unique data requirements.

You can count on Community to keep you updated in this regard, so keep an eye out 😊

@jessica.becker do you have an update on this?

In Belgium, Peppol is mandatory for all invoices from 01/01/2026.

Best,

Dirk

Any updates on PEPPOL integration in Mews?

Hi @DirkVanGompel & @SimonR, the team is currently evaluating the implementational requirements and reviewing available partner opportunities. I will update you as soon as I know more 🙂

@jessica.becker the clock is ticking as Peppol will be mandatory for all B2B invoices from 01/01/2026. Please update us if the team will be ready with this feature by then.

Best regards,
Egon

This topic in the community is the only information I could find in Mews regarding Peppol.
Since the deadline is approaching fast, and we may also need some preparation time, it would be good to know now exactly how this will work with the integration in Mews, not when the deadline is already here.

yes please very much

@mauritsbots another 136 days  till 01/01/26  minus there weekends so 99 days to make this working 😅

haha yes indeed… tik tak ;)

I just checked with our account manager at Mews and they have no update. Also, she mentioned that this would be the place to look for any update regarding this topic. They are definitely not rushing things thats for sure.

Hi all! I’m working on getting an update to you - thanks for your patience 🙏

Hi Jessica, I hope you’re doing well.
Are there any recent updates regarding PEPPOL integration in Mews?
With the 2026 deadline approaching in Belgium, it’s important for us to understand the planned next steps.
Thank you very much!

Hi all, thanks again for your patience. This is what the team told me:

We don’t have any technical detail to offer at this point. In terms of how the integration will work, we already have a series of fiscal integrations in Mews (for Germany, Spain, Italy among others), so it will be comparable to these.

Most likely it will resemble the two most recent integrations we’ve built:

  • Like Verifactu in Spain, there will be a complex integration setup process. This is because businesses need to provide enough information to middleware providers to be able to fiscalise transactions on their behalf.
  • Like XRechnung B2B e-invoicing in Germany, additional data points will be needed during the billing flow, because enough data needs to be supplied in order to support the issuance of valid electronic invoice documents. There is a complex data schema to comply with for XRechnung, and a data mapping required between it and the Mews billing entities. The same will be true with Peppol.

I will of course keep you updated in this thread when I have something new to share. 🙏

This is really taking to slow

Good day everyone,

@jessica.becker do you have any extra information ? It taking so long, I undertsand that it can be complicated but this topic is open since 5 months and we have very little additional information since and we will have to train the staff. Please remind your team !

@jessica.becker

In Belgium, PEPPOL is compulsory from 01/01/2026.
Should MEWS not support PEPPOL, it is essential that we are given at least some time to implement an alternative solution.
For this reason, we urgently need clear and reliable guarantees concerning the availability and timeline of this functionality.

What should I do if my supplier is not ready on 1 January 2026?
If your supplier is not ready, you have theoretically the right to refuse the invoice.
However, this is not always obvious from a commercial point of view. Ask your supplier if they are going to comply.
The supplier risks to be penalised.

Considering the importance of this matter for myself and my fellow hoteliers in Belgium, we would greatly appreciate receiving your feedback by the end of next week at the latest.

Hi all, I understand your concerns and I have just confirmed with the team - we plan to have Peppol ready by end of Q4. We will then roll it out by jurisdiction according to local deadlines (e.g. Belgium in Q1 2026, France in Q3 2026). 😊

Hello Jessica,

Sorry but as per my knowledge end of Q4 is 31st December 2025. So what is the time frame hotels get to set this up on their end with their customers? I am guessing we will be sitting here on NYE next to our PC to have things ready by 00:01? Or am I missing something???

@nnica  🤛👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

i’am already waiting 6 months for a decent answer 🤰🤰🤰 another 3 months a they will have there 👼🍼 at Mews. Candy for everybody. 😂

Hi @nnica , End of Q4, 2025 is just an estimative timeframe. By then, we aim to have everything implemented, tested and still leave a time buffer for customers to enable the implementation on your end.

@Egon Lagrou as requested and discussed yesterday, are you all good with the above information?

@jessica.becker
Thank you for your swift response.
Was this a quick first reaction and will you come back to us next week with more detailed information?
please let us know what to expect.
Thanks

Good afternoon @bjorn.demeulenaere

The explanation above does not provide a specific completion date or a concrete plan of action, so it all remains very vague.

If everything is only ready at the end of Q4 2025, that is too late; we cannot roll it out in the beginning of Q1 2026 due to legislation. I hope the software development team at Mews is fully aware of this.

Best regards,

Egon

@jessica.becker

@jessica.becker which team is working on this? Perhaps the product owner can provide some insights? in NL we are also very very very (did i already say very) keen on getting this organized!
