online check in check out

We want our guest to be able to use the guest portal to chat/message feature and modify their reservation dates if needed, but not check in or out online is there a way to disable online check in and out?

Could you please clarify what you mean exactly?

Do you mean you don’t want check-in and check-out to happen automatically, or that you don’t want that option available at all?

There are two possible configurations:

  1. The guest can check in online (fill out the form and provide all details), but the check-in is not automatically reflected in the PMS.

  2. The guest fills in the form, and the check-in is automatically completed in the PMS.

The same applies for check-out:

  • Guests could pay online without triggering a PMS check-out, or

  • They could pay online and have the room automatically checked out in the PMS.

Those settings are found in your bookable service and settings.

We do not want them to be able to check out or in or even pay on-line for that matter.  We would like to shut down that option.  Please let us know how to do this.  Thank you.

Ok so therefore you need to check in your settings. You can definitely restrict the guest from online check in and check out. Payment could be stoped as well. But not quite sure on that one.

We need to find out how to disable the system from allowing guests to check in and out online. When they check in online, they still have to go through the same steps when they arrive, so we don't want them to even think they've already checked in.  We have asked AI and followed all guidance provided and it doesn't resolve the issue.

Yes, they are all disabled and we have ensured the emails do not contain the link, yet our customers still get the link and we can figure out how.
