Hi 👋,

I’m curious — is there a way to have two different rate codes in one reservation? For example, the first night including breakfast 🥐 and the second night excluding breakfast 🍽️?

Hey everyone ✌

We’re now conducting a survey with our team to understand some scenarios around rate mixing. You can go into this discussion and fill in the survey that we prepared. That will better inform us on how to shape the solution for all 🙌

Not aware of a way.

Interestingly, B.com allows rate mixing. But it will be sending the reservation with the stricter cancellation policy to Mews.

Example: Your non refundable rate has a “minimum in advance restriction” (which it should have). → B.com will allow the guest to book the first nights with the flexible rate and the last nights with the non ref rate (in Mews, you will see the reservation under a non ref rate).

The Mews booking engine won’t allow that.

But from my point of view, rate mixing would make sense (the stricter cancellation policy should be applied), especially if you work with close to departure/arrival restrictions.

it would be great for example Christmas eve, so 3 nights two of them on Halfboard and christmas on a different meal plan for example a christmas dinner.

I will place that on a wish list.

This was never possible in the last PMS we used and I am sure not in Mews either. The way we solve it is making several reservatiins  One for each rate and then asign same room and lock it in Mews and prevent welcoming email for the ad-on reservation. For us it is very rare so not really a big headache.

For us it is on the Resort Hotel, as they for example have guests staying for 14 nights over christmas and NY eve on serveral meal plans.

I already got the confirmation by mews that it is not possible at the moment but the feature is requested.

Hello,

This is not possible in Mews.
We were able to do this in our previous PMS, and it’s definitely a feature we miss in Mews.

We’ve already raised this with Mews, along with the request to adjust the number of guests per night (e.g., first night 1 person, second night 2 people), but we haven’t seen it appear on their roadmap yet.

Hi everyone,

I have had a few discovery calls with the Mews team on this topic; ratemixing. We spoke about ways to combine several rates and a changing occupancy in 1 reservation. Sure they will reach out on the Community soon. It is a feature everyone is desperately waiting for 🙌🏻

Regards, Sanne

We have got the exact same setup (and wishes)

I have placed it with the product team. Hopefully a solution is in the near future available.
