My name is Laura and I am Product Manager for the Billing Team. We are currently working on a small enhancement to help improve the accuracy of product consumption dates. Some customers reported that since we introduced changes to the ‘Add Product’ feature in the billing screen they have an experienced an increase in corrections to the consumption date. The separation of the consumption date onto another tab can cause users to bypass this field and consumption dates are set with the default date and time. We would like to address this through a two step flow, forcing the user through the second tab and improving the default date selection. You can see an overview of the changes here. The 2 step flow is ready and we would like to validate this changes with users before we release, whilst we continue to work on the improved date selection. Hello Mews Community! 👋 As you might already be aware, back in June, we introduced hourly services to Mews. And now, we're taking it a step further – introducing the Beta Hourly Services Promotion capability on the Booking Engine (and soon on the Guest Portal, starting August 21st). So, how does this work? It is easy. When your guests book their stay through Mews Booking engine or go through Online Check-In, they'll have the option to book meeting rooms or co-working spaces as a promoted hourly service from the "Enhance your stay" section. Guests can easily pick a specific time slot (with a minimum of one hour) and date within their stay duration. This hourly service reservation will become part of the reservation group. Hi Community, We have started work on being able to configure occupancy adjustments flexibly not just on base rates, but even on dependent rates and further per stay date and room category. I will be posting visuals of what can be expected and collect beta signups in the upcoming days. Till then, we had a pressing question - that should help us shape product development better. If you had the ability to define occupancy adjustments per stay-date/room combination, for every rate (base and dependent), would it be beneficial to be able to set them on a rate level? We have uncovered arguments in both directions: Pro of rate level adjustments: Rate level adjustments allow one to quickly configure occupancy adjustments for all room categories and dates in that rate. These can then be granularly over-written as and when necessary. Con of rate level adjustments: It is never what is booked or sent to OTAs. So can be useless, since defining on the room/date level is much more accurate. EDIT and

Hi I am Laura, a product manager focusing on billing in Mews. We are looking at ways to improve your billing experience and are focusing on two areas: Reducing the need to move payments between bills. Payments can be added automatically to the billing screen, however they are added to the unpaid items and deposits section and in some cases this means the payment needs to be moved to the correct bill before closing. Improving the checkout experience by ensuring the relevant items are available in a bill at checkout. We understand that the routing of items to unpaid items and deposits can result in additional steps to separate future stay costs from current stay costs and can also result in charges from the POS being posted to a separate bill to the reservation.
