Hallo zusammen, ich habe mal wieder eine Frage.Ist es möglich, eine Garage als Raum zu erstellen? Wenn ja, wie genau muss das eingegeben werden? Mein Ziel ist es, dass ein Gast, der einen Parkplatz oder eine Garage gebucht hat, auch Zugang zu dieser bekommt, wenn er eincheckt.Bisher habe ich das immer über Salto separat gemacht, aber kann man das auch direkt über Mews abwickeln? Ich hatte mir vorgestellt, einen Raum zu erstellen, den Aufenthalttyp auf "Parkplatz" zu setzen und die Kapazität beispielsweise auf 20 festzulegen.Macht jemand das überhaupt ? Wie habt ihr Garage gelöst ( schranke / tore usw ) 

Hello!  I would like to make it a bit more difficult for our receptionists to mark rooms as “inspected.” Occasionally, housekeeping is still cleaning when guests want to check in. This means that rooms are sometimes marked as “clean” but haven’t been inspected yet. In such cases, our reception colleagues should consult the housekeeping manager or check the room themselves before marking it as inspected.Currently, when checking in a guest, a box appears with the option “mark as inspected,”. We have noticed that some receptionists then mark these rooms through there as inspected, without actually checking the room. This creates confusion for both housekeeping and reception.Please note: I don’t want to prevent them from inspecting rooms and marking them as such in the system. I just want it to be less easy and not doable with a single click.

Anyone else getting non-stop e-mails from “Diamo”, a revenue management solution? We’ve had dozens emails from these guys so far, and they mention specifically that they work with Mews. Which makes me wonder, did Mews provide our email addresses to this company? Weirdly, they also seem to know how many rooms we have, which is not mentioned on our website. We’ve been getting the same emails for all our properties, and they all mention the room count.Perhaps Mews can look into how this dodgy company is able to send out spam using their name and data.  

Hallo zusammen,wie habt ihr die Zahlungsübertragung von HNS IBE in Mews gelöst?Mir wurde gesagt, dass in HNS IBE die Kreditkartendaten der Gäste abfragt werden über einen anderen Zahlungsanbieter als MewsPay. HNS übermittelt an Mews dann die Karten Nummer und das Ablaufdatum und Mews bucht den Anzahlungsbetrag dann mit Hilfe dieser beiden Parameter ab.Ist das ein automatisierter Prozess oder muss hier manuell die Abbuchung gestartet werden? Was sind eure Erfahrungen?Vielen Dank für die Hilfe!

How to integrate these platforms with Mews for online bookings, front‑desk payments, and invoicing. The technical setup needed, including APIs, payment links, or POS options. Recommendations for managing settlements, accounting, and compliance in the U.S. My goal is to provide guests with a seamless crypto payment option while ensuring smooth operations and proper reporting in Mews.

Ich stehe gerade vor folgenden technischen Herausforderungen (Schließsystem von Salto):Fall: eine Buchung für 2 Nächte für eine Person und in der 3. Nacht kommt eine weitere Person dazu. Gibt es eine Möglichkeit, diese Buchung so anzulegen, dass eine weitere Person dazugebucht werden kann oder geht es nur durch das Anlegen von 2 verbundenen Reservierungen mit der Einschränkung, dass am Tag, wo die 2. Person dazu kommt, neu eingecheckt werden muss. Kann ich irgendwie die Schlüsselkarte für die erste Person direkt für den kompletten Zeitraum schreiben? Fall: eine Buchung über booking, Gast reist an und möchte eine Nacht verlängern. An sich würde ich den Abreisetag abändern und das Häkchen setzen bei “Erstelle eine neue Reservierung für zusätzliche Nächte”. Dann kann ich auch die Hausrate eintragen (die niedriger ist, als die Rate für die Portale). Jetzt wollte der Gast, weil er spät zurückkommt, aber direkt eine Karte haben für beide Nächte. Bonjour, toujours moi avec mes éternelles questions.  Nous avons plusieurs cohortes avec des hébergement de longue durée mais pour les finances nous devons facturer au mois, quand je fais la facturation je sélectionne au mois et oct, nov, déc etc apparait. Je choisi le mois voulu mais le bémol est que les dates sont de toute la durée de leur séjour et non par mois comme demandé.  Avez vous une manière pour que les dates soit bien le mois sélectionné et non toute la durée.  Merci à l’avance.

Hallo zusammen,wir nutzen nun gut seit einer Woche Mews POS und jeder Kellner arbeitet in sein eigenes Portemonnaie. Muss dann hierfür für jeden Kellner eine eigene Kasse eingerichtet werden? Wir hatten neulich das Problem, dass auf dem Bericht “Verkäufe” in der Administration ein anderes Trinkgeld für einen Benutzer/Kellner ausgewiesen wurde, als der Benutzer/Kellner auf seiner Kellnerabrechnung hatte. Bei allen anderen Benutzern/Kellnern hat es jedoch gestimmt, sodass irgendwo Trinkgeld “verloren” gegangen ist. Gibt es hierzu Erfahrungen? Wie handhabt Ihr es in euren Betrieben? Eine allgemeine Kasse oder jeder Benutzer/Kellner ein eigenes Portemonnaie? Vielen Dank vorab

Guten Morgen Community,nutzt jemand das Gutscheinsystem von TAC in Kombination und kann mir mehr zur Einlösung bzw. automatischen Verbuchung dieser Gutscheine in MEWS sagen? 

Hi all,We currently spend alot of time allocating group rooms so they are all together on the same floor.With the current assignment settings of either top to bottom or vv. this does not allocate well enough as not every room type is located on each floor and groups usually book a range of space categories. Has anyone found an easy way to allocate large group bookings? Currently we must use 2 screens so we can view the group and the timeline.Would love if we could set automatic allocations based on segment and choose which floor number this begins from.Thanks for any suggestions. 

Hi 👋,I’m curious — is there a way to have two different rate codes in one reservation? For example, the first night including breakfast 🥐 and the second night excluding breakfast 🍽️?

Does anyone know if we can copy a previous reservation in Mews?In our previous PMS, we could easily copy an earlier booking for returning guests who booked by phone or walked in, and simply change the dates. It was quick because the guest profile and rate code were already filled in.Is there an equivalent feature in Mews?

As for the guest journey, we have included the SMS add-on. It works well; however, we’ve noticed that for guests who don’t have an email address but only a phone number, no additional SMS is sent. We’re wondering if there’s a setting that allows the system to send the SMS in such cases — so that guests without an email address but with a phone number still receive the message. This would help encourage them to use the online check-in even when we don’t have their email.

Hallo,wir können nicht finden, wie wir eine Rechnung durch zwei Teilen?Wenn zwei Nächste übernachtet wird, ist das für uns ja kein Problem, aber wenn nur eine Nacht übernachtet wird, können wir die Rechnung nur bei der Zahlung splitten, aber keine separaten Belege erstellen. Ist das bei MEWS möglich, zwei Rechnung mit der Hälfte des Betrages zu erstellen?Oder wie sind die Erfahrungswerte bei den anderen Häusern? Gruß Torsten Rolfes 

We use the wireless terminal at the Front Desk, and our Wi-Fi is fast. It works very well overall, but there is a delay between when you charge the guest and when the payment is posted to the bill.Sometimes the guest becomes unsure and asks us questions like: “What does it say here?” Often the terminal displays messages such as: Enter code Multi currency Various messages about why the transaction didn’t go through Card not read correctly It would be great if the terminal’s status messages were also shown in the Mews UI, so that staff could follow the payment status and assist the guest when they ask questions on what steps to take.Just like you currently see a short confirmation in the upper right corner when a payment has been completed, it would be helpful to also see the status before the payment is finalized. 

Hallo, wir sind komplett neu von Hs3 gewechselt..Ich musste eine Gastauslage buchen und einmal Trinkgeld.Doch leider zieht sich der Betrag nicht automatisch in der Mews-Kasse ab.Gibt es dazu eine Lösung oder eine Einstellung?Es ist schwierig.. alles zusätzlich noch wieder Manuel zubuchen, damit der Kassenstand stimmt.vielen Dank für eure Hilfe

Hi there!Did anybody knows if the system supports any option of getting notified a reservation is cancelled ( when the reservation is through the mews booking engine) ?
