I am curious about why it is not possible for guests to purchase upsells after they have checked in? I know they can do it as part of the checkin process in guest portal, but why can’t they do it after?For example, a guest forgot to add parking, then they later open guest portal again, they can read about the reservation that they already know about, but they cannot do anything with it, changes, adding products etc.So the result is that they need to contact the hotel via a message.I just wonder why this is? Is it designed that way on purpose?

Is it just me or does it take ages whenever you create a new company profile and want to add a routing rule until the company profile is found? Dear MEWS Community, We are new using MEWS, and we would like to give you our thoughts on the subject of reports. We have already discussed this issue with our contact person at MEWS, and apparently the reports we want to / can pull are a bit limited. So I am happy to share our feedback here and open an conversation, in order to see if someone of you have had the same “issue”.  We would need the following data (based on reports) to work in the following topics: - Revenue Conversion --> General and individually (per person)- Lead Conversion --> General and individually (per person)- Lead per hour --> General and individually (per person)- Group Booking Pace --> Group Forecast- No TDN (Turndown) analysis possible --> We can only create the Cancellation Report. At this stage, this is not possible to get this extraction from MEWS. Therefore we need the following data to be able to draw these reports: - Revenue daily per Group with RMN (Room Nights)- Creation Date of the bloc

Hello,I keep running into missing space feature classifications to finally make full use of the “Preferred space feature” assignment strategy and the “Optimize space allocation” function Mews. I went through 25 hotels and checked for space features that most hotels seem to have/would be able to make use of.Please use this thread to let me know if I am missing anything important. One of my client properties that uses Mews, also utilises Zenchef as the booking software for their F&B services.The client would like to know if the Mews / Zenchef integration also allows for payment / credit card guarantees of reservations, using the Stipe account associated with the Mews subscription. From what I can read in the integration documentation, this is not the case, but if a community member has a solution, I would be extremely grateful for advice.

Hi everyone,the shutdone of mews for nearly 5 hours on 17th November was a big struggle for me and my team. Mews recommends to schedule daily reports to be prepared for a shutdown. In my opinion it is helpful to have this, but we need it in PDF format. I already asked for it 3 years ago when we started with mews, but till now it is not possible. The excel reports are very confusing. Please vote for it if you would like to have the scheduled daily reports in PDF format. Thanks in advance! Best regards, Julia

Hello everyone,we've noticed that when creating a reservation, on the “Details” page, the confirmation mode defaults to “Do not send”. By changing the reservation status (to Requested or Optional) or even back to Confirmed, the confirmation mode automatically changes from “Do not send” to “Send”. This can be a source of error if the person making the reservation doesn't notice it. I think it would be preferable for the confirmation mode to default to “Do not send”, and for the person making the reservation to change it manually if necessary. what do you think? 

Hello everyone,we have encountered a small problem with customers who received booking confirmations and quotes (with rates) when they were travel agency bookings. customers were able to confirm and cancel these bookings directly from Mews Guest Portal. While it is clearly stated in the configuration of e-mail sending parameters, in the first remark: “Mews does not send e-mails to the recipient's address if it is not that of the company or travel agency associated with the booking.”but it seems that this rule is not applied. can you explain?

Hello MEWS Community, We are working on customizing the multi-property MEWS booking engine for our websites, which are linked to two PMS systems. We manage two adjacent MEWS properties (though technically with different addresses) and would like to adjust the following elements:                1.            Remove the Address: Is it possible to hide the address field entirely from the                                booking engine?                2.            Change Property Names in Booking Engine Only:                •             Wilmina Hotel → renamed to Hotel                •             Carlotta Apartments → renamed to ApartmentsWe’d like these name changes to apply exclusively to the booking engine without affecting other parts of the system. Alternatively, would it be feasible to overwrite specific elements of the booking engine using custom JSON code? We would greatly appreciate any guidance, tips, or suggestions from those who have tackled similar customization challenges. T

When we started with Mews we uploaded the import file with the already existing company profiles from our old PMS, and it contained a whole bunch of double data so I’m trying to merge the company profiles. Unfortunately I often have the case that one profile has the address, the other doesn’t, and when I want to merge both profiles I don’t see the address information, so I am never really sure which one to keep and which one not, but merging them does not mean the address will be updated and it happens that when I pick the wrong one, the address is just gone. Does anyone have any tips to handle this as uncomplicated as possible? :) 

Ich habe gerade versucht, im Gruppenreiter eine Zimmerliste mit den Teilnehmern und den E-Mail-Adressen hochzuladen. In der Liste war nun ein Teilnehmer, der bereits einmal zu Gast war und für den bereits ein Konto existiert - das wusste aber vorab niemand, so dass wir den bereits existierenden Gast nicht vor herunterladen der Blanko-Liste die wir an den Bucher geschickt haben noch nicht vorher eingetragen hatten, also war er auf der Blanko-liste auch noch nicht mit seinem bereits existierenden Konto.  Jetzt habe ich von Mews die Fehlermeldung erhalten, dass bereits ein Konto mit der E-Mail-Adresse existiert und musste bei 30 Teilnehmern erst einmal heraussuchen, wer denn bereits im System vorhanden ist.  Hat jemand einen praktikablen Trick, wie man so etwas umgeht? Ich weiß, wäre der Gast bereits eingetragen gewesen, hätte Mews bei der Liste auch diekt die Kundenkennung eingetragen, aber wenn wir den Firmen die Liste blanko schicken und sie vorab noch nicht mitgeteilt hatten, welcher

I know Mews can run on Mac in the cloud, but can it use Mews connector app to connect with printers and key cutters? This is what I find (Looks like you have to run windows) our hotel was going to be switching to Mac.  Install the Mews Connector app onto the same computer as your local devices, for example, key cutters or printers. This computer needs to:be a Windows PC, with Windows Vista or later version, operate 24/7 and never shut down, run on .NET framework 4.8.

Hey Community,  I wonder how you handle automatic check-ins with group bookings in your property?  As a property that only has single beds, all bookings are prepaid and the whole customer journey is digital we have the problem that only the booker is in the system and gets all the messaging.  Is it possible to have an automated process for groups where a form is send out and the group can put Names and email addresses in there and after submitting the individual bookings in Mews are changed?  Would be nice to get some best practice here. Cheers Hendrik

I am searching for a solution which will enable me to save all invoices and bills, as individual pdf files for a specific period - ex.
