Creating a Revenue CenterRevenue centers in Mews POS help categorize and separate different streams of income, improving financial reporting. To set up a new revenue center:Go to Settings > Revenue centers > + Fill in the name, default covers, and PMS code (if using a different PMS). Select an outlet to link to the revenue center and hit Save. This helps you streamline accounting and gain better insights into revenue sources.2. Hello Mews community!We’re excited to bring you some recent industry news today. The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) has released fresh data that shows positive strides in reducing the sector’s environmental impact. According to their report, in 2023, Travel & Tourism emissions accounted for 6.7% of global emissions, a significant drop from 7.8% in 2019. This is a great sign that our industry is finding ways to grow economically while simultaneously lowering its environmental footprint.However, there’s still more work to be done. While we’re moving in the right direction, the WTTC is urging the industry to accelerate the shift to greener practices, particularly in the area of renewable energy. Despite some progress, fossil fuel dependence only dropped modestly from 90% in 2019 to 88.2% in 2023. Apple’s recent announcement of so-called ‘Apple Intelligence’ at WWDC raised more than a few eyebrows. Some of this may relate to the extent of the privacy Apple has been able to offer, while much will be directed at the deep integration with OpenAI.
