Hi everyone,I'm trying to find a way to view a report that shows the specific promo codes our guests have used.We can create unlimited promo codes linked to a single Voucher in Mews. However, the booking report that groups by voucher only displays the associated Voucher ID, not the individual promo code that was actually applied. This makes it really difficult for us to measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns.I've also tried extracting this data via the API (as we have access), but the booking reservation only includes the Voucher ID, not the unique promo code.Has anyone found a solution for this, or is there a report I'm missing? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

We regularly see your CEO highlighting how Mews saves time and money, and how it improves operational efficiency.Unfortunately, today we are facing a situation that contradicts those claims, and it is seriously impacting our guest experience.We urgently need a solution to a payment-related issue. A guest has requested a detailed breakdown of payments linked to his reservation. Specifically, for the stay from June 17th to 19th, we need to allocate and split the amount of CHF 905.05 by credit card, so it matches the invoice exactly. Hi all,We have setup our automated payment policies to charge guest cards, if a card declines we must mark the card invalid on the OTA and then 24hours later we can try the charge again and cancel the reservation. We would love to be able to manually schedule a 2nd payment attempt instead of manually trying the card again. If the card is then charged no further action is needed and we have eliminated the need to make additional manual checks.Anyone found a way to do this? 

Hello Community!We don't use the Mews booking engine for our reservations - instead, we work with an external provider.As a result, we also have a different payment gateway (merchant) for handling advance payments made through our own website.This setup means that any advance payments need to be manually registered in Mews as external payments.This manual step has proven to be one of the biggest pain points for our hotels. Payments are often misallocated, or bookings end up being charged twice by mistake.Over time, things have improved - especially after we’ve run training sessions for our staff - but the issue tends to resurface whenever new team members come onboard.Has anyone else experienced similar challenges? If so, have you found a smart or effective way to handle this and reduce errors?In a perfect world, I would love to be able to map payments from our external merchant directly to Mews

Can I send a customer a link via Mews that he can provide his credit card details in a secured way?Such as at online check in, but it does not make any sense to send a customer a request for online check in if his stay will only be in some months… Most guests don’t want to provide their credit card details by phone, mail or so and we don’t want to implement another system because Mews seems to be able to provide such a link. It would just be great to have it already before. I also tried to figure out a way that the guest is asked when confirming an offer with the {signIn} - but I didn’t manage.

Hi everyone, We’ve configured payment policies in Mews for our main rate groups (“Non-Refundable,” “Best Available Rate,” and “Long Stay”) to automatically charge the guest’s credit card at the time of booking confirmation (mode: automatic, timing: confirmation, method: charge from payment card). This setup was mainly intended for direct bookings on our website, where we also want to enable alternative payment methods. However, we’ve recently noticed that these automatic policies are also being applied to channel manager bookings (e.g., via Booking.com), which is causing issues. For every channel booking, we now receive an “Action required – failed to charge card” message, as we prefer to handle these payments manually. I have two questions regarding best practices: Rate groups vs. payment policies – Does it make sense to create separate rate groups for direct bookings and channel manager bookings (e.g., separate BAR

Hallo zusammen!Ich stehe mal wieder vor einem Rätsel.Wir bieten seit Kurzem die Möglichkeit, das bei Buchungen über unsere Website (IBE vom Channelmanager, nicht von Mews) nicht nur per Kreditkarte sondern auch per Paypal bezahlt werden kann. Wenn eine Rate gebucht wird, die direkt bezahlt werden muss, schickt Mews direkt diese Mail an den Gast, dass nicht abgebucht werden kann, weil keine Zahlkarte hinterlegt ist. Der Gast hat aber bereits per Paypal bezahlt. Selbst wenn ich die Zahlung Minuten später verbucht habe, ist die Mail schon raus. Das führt bei den Gästen zu Verwirrung.Gibt es eine Möglichkeit, dass die Paypal-Zahlung irgendwie von Mews registriert wird und diese Mail, dass nicht abgebucht werden kann, nicht rausgeht?Wie handhabt ihr das bei Paypal-Zahlungen?Vielen Dank und viele GrüßeHeike

Hallo!Kann mir jemand bei der Abrechnung eines AirBnB-Gastes helfen?Die Zahlung kommt ja dann über AirBnB und der Gast muss bei uns nichts bezahlen. Richte ich dann eine Steuerungsregel ein oder wie handhabt ihr das?Der von AirBnB ausgezahlte Betrag ist dann allerdings auch um die Kommission vermindert. Wie geht ihr damit um? Bei Expedia Collect wird der verminderte Betrag übertragen, bei AirBnB aber, soweit ich das gesehen habe, nicht.Dann habe ich außerdem noch das Problem, dass die Kreditkartendaten vom Gast mit übermittelt wurden und es bei uns bei der Rate so eingestellt ist, dass automatisch die Kreditkarte belastet wird. Somit hat der Gast jetzt doppelt bezahlt. Alles ein bißchen blöd gelaufen.Wer kann mir Tipps geben, damit das besser läuft? Danke im Voraus!Viele GrüßeHeike 

Hi ,We've encountered an issue where, when a guest adds an extra payment method via the Guest Portal, Mews automatically charges the newly added card instead of the VCC, even when the nights are meant to be paid by a VCC.This is causing a lot of problems, as guests might not expect their personal card to be charged when the virtual card from the OTA should cover the stay. We have set up proper routings for Booking.com and Expedia, so the reception knows these reservations should be paid via VCC.Has anyone else experienced this issue? I have noticed that this was an issue before but that 4 months ago it was resolved. However I’m experiencing the issue now. Thanks in advance for your insights!Best,Emilie 

I need to control my payments received per month. That is, matching payments to invoices. How to do it?The amount received each month does not correspond exactly to the invoices paid for the month because there are also deposits for future stays.I need to follow up on a monthly basis.Can you help :) ?

Hi to everyone!We just started using MEWS TERMINAL last week, and we’ve been experiencing an odd issue while settling pending invoices.When the payment fails, after being launched from the payment settling menu in the control panel, the transaction in mews says “elaborating”, and prevents us to do anything else with the unsettled invoice. the 3 dots menu goes blank and that’s it.How can we solve this issue? Apparently i haven’t found anything about it so ask for your help, fellas MEWSers! Thanks a lot in advance Cheers,Nicolò

Dear Community 👋🏼Has anyone have the same issue like I currently facing?.We have recently added Stripe as new payment provider and integrated the mews S1 terminal as the payment device, which is starting next month we will completly using stipe to replace the Adyen.Taking payment directly from the terminal with card or contactless is no issue, as well online pament when we have enterd the credit card details in mews manually.However, the credit card which captured in mews from the terminal payment, can not be re-preauthorize nor re-charge. Anyone aware what the issue here?.So far what I understood correctly, that the payment using S1 Teriminal will captured and tokanized the card details, which we can reuse it.I have wrote mews to change the Stripe as our default payment, however

We want to configure the printing options of our Mews Terminal, so it only prints the customers receipt. A couple of weeks ago our management decided it was not necesary printing the merchant’s receipt anymorte and we always get up having a copy at the end. Is there a way we can customize that? thanks in advance. 

Currently MEWS charges cancellation fees on the day of cancellation when automatically applied - is there any way to have this set so it charges on the intended day of arrival instead to keep revenue in the relevant day?

Hi Everyone, Could someone please clarify the correct procedure for credit notes?I'm unsure why I need to create a bill counter in order to issue a credit note for an invoice.Is this step necessary, or can I simply reissue the invoice if a credit note is required?Thank you for your help! :) 

Is it true that Apple Pay and Google Pay doesn’t work, if you use Mews Payments in a NON-MEWS Booking engine?Could’t find this written anywhere so far, but cannot get it to work.

Wir bekommen unsere Buchungen von Booking über einen Channelmanager. Unsere Zahlungen von Booking erhalten wir am Folgetag als Überweisung.Wenn Gäste nach Feierabend buchen, können Sie zwar über den Kiosk einchecken, müssten aber die Rechnung theoretisch noch einmal bezahlen. Daher meine Frage: Gibt es bei Mews die Möglichkeit, dem Vertriebskanal Booking eine bestimmte Zahlweise (Überweisung) vorzugeben, damit der offene Betrag sofort auf Null gesetzt wird?

Hey,how are you handling TIPs on reception?The easiest way is probably to book a product on the bill.But is it also possible for the terminal to ask whether the guest wants to add a tip during the checkout?And then it’s booked automatically?Does anyone have experience with this? Thank you :) Kind regardsAnna
