Hey guys, Had the topic “online check-in” before… But I was wondering if someone is using GOKI as well and what online check-in solution you use? Im looking for a solution that does not change systems, where upsell and communication is possible and where it is possible after check-in is completed to open the locks with. Process should be completly automatic without anyone to have a manual task. We doing it at the moment with the goki check-in but I feel like there is a lot of potential process wise. Auskunft nach DSGVO

Moin liebe Community,wie geht ihr damit um, wenn Gäste eine Auskunft nach der DSGVO wünschen? Wenn man die Gastdaten per PDF exportiert, dann erstellt MEWS ja nur einen “Meldeschein”, es stehen keine weiteren Daten, wie z.B. die Reservierungen darin. Ganz zu schweigen von weiteren Daten, die erhoben, geteilt (mit wem?) und gespeichert (wo?) werden. Vielen Dank für eurer Feedback!Schöne Grüße aus dem NordenAndrea

Wir haben unser System im November von Suite 8 auf mews umgestellt.Nun möchte ich per 31.11.2024 die Umsätze in die Fibu aus dem Buchhaltungsbericht übernehmen, da wir die Schnittstelle erst ab Januar zu Datev nutzen werdenBei der Auswertung von konsumierten Umsätzen sind die Debitoren mit Null ausgewiesen. Diese müssen doch aber auch gebucht werden?Nehme ich den Bericht "geschlossen", werden die Debitoren aufgelistet.Wir bilanzieren und ich bin der Meinung, dass wir die konsumierten Umsätze versteuern müssen, was auch in Fidelio der Fall war.Welche Auswertung muss ich nehmen, wie wird es von anderen gehandhabt, welche die Zahlen evtl. auch manuell in die Fibu übernehmen?

Monthly KPIS and future stays

Hi everyone!It’s my first month at Mews and I am getting crazy to prepare the end of the month reports. I am very surprised how difficult is to pull out basic KPIs such as occupancy %, revenue and room nights per channel/segment for a closed month. I still don’t understand why the reservations by source report doesn’t count the manual reservations.I have checked Mews University and the discrepancies between the manager report and the reservations report… too much work that could be easily solved with a simple dashboard. Plus you need to run month by month if you wanna see how the pace is performing for the future. Personally I expected much more from Mews regarding KPIs. It’s definitely not at the same level of the rest of the platform. Just start with the basics!I would appreciate some guidance to make the reporting process easier. Thanks!

Handling fee to be calculated automatically

Hello,For each service that is not handled by us directly, ex transfer, ski pass...etc we are adding a handling fee 5% of the total of a certain service this is applicable to.My question is how to set up this in mews so that once handling fee is to be added into the bill to automatically calculates 5% of the price of the product refers to vs how we do now, calculate manually and then place it on the guests bill. MEWS landing page language selection?

Hi all,First post here. I'm running tech support for a small rental apartment website that will integrate MEWS into it's pages.So not really up to speed with the whole MEWS system/backend tbh.Our website is multi language (NL/EN/DE), and will have a button to switch to the MEWS landing page for date searches, booking etc.What I would like to set up is that every language version of the website will open up the corresponding language version of the MEWS landing page.So the button on the Dutch website will open the Dutch version of the MEWS page, the English website the English landing page etc.The MEWS backend has all languages set up, and this all works in the frontend. So that part is fully set up and finalized.Any tips on how can I set this up in a weblink on a button, so I can ‘direct’ the landing page to a preferred language.Thanks for all replies,Rob WuPakasa - LeidenHolland

Issue with Room Availability Display During Peak Season

Dear all,We are currently in Peak Season, and the hotel is fully booked on certain dates. However, we have noticed an issue where, despite some room categories being overbooked, the hotel remains open for new reservations. This situation should ideally not occur, or there should be an alert indicating that the hotel is fully booked, requiring validation for any overbooking.For example:The hotel has 15 rooms in total, divided into 3 categories (Classic, Superior, and Sea View, with 5 rooms each). For the night of December 31st, the hotel is FULL (15 rooms sold), but there is an overbooking of 1 room in the Classic category, while 1 room remains available in the Sea View category. We will need to upgrade the overbooked Classic room to the Sea View category, but this adjustment has not been made yet.If the staff does not notice this situation, they could inadvertently accept a new reservation in the Sea View category, without any warning that the hotel is already fully booked.Could you pl

How do I setup a booking engine without guest count ?

Hi there!For a bookable service for space like parking or bike, or similar a guest /adult count doesn’t make sense. Is it possible to disable the adult count field in the booking engine for that bookable service somehow?I checked help and asked the bot, and searched feedback, but could find anything in that regard.So I figured either I am missing something obvious, or it’s really not there …?Best regards,JP.

Guten Tag zusammen,gibt es Informationen, wie die Integration von XRechnung Deutschland in Mews abläuft? Die Integration im Marketplace/Abonnements ist bereits durchgeführt. Bonjour, j’ai vu que pour imprimer les factures au moment du check out nous avons 3 types de choix/options possiblethe default Detailed overview, and additionally Overview by date, Overview by reservation,par contre aucune de ces options ne permet de masquer le détail des consommations au bar que le client aurait pu avoir. Par exemple une note pour notre restaurant :RESTAURANT (point de vente):cocktail champagne 18€ Menu du marché 35€ 2 verres de vin 24€Comment faire pour regrouper en 1 ligne les consommations de notre point de vente restaurant avec un global de 77€? je sais que la TVA sera ventilée à 20% pour les alcools mais les clients demandent souvent 1 seul ligne globale.Merci pour votre aide.

Setting up payment policies for city tax

Hi everyone,I need help setting up specific payment policies for a rate group. Specifically, I want to prevent the automatic charging of city tax before check-in. Instead, only the nights and other products should be charged at that time.I noticed that this can be configured in "Additional Expenses." However, I am unsure how to define city tax as "additionnal expenses" or “products” within this setup. Hi, I can see how to reorder space categories but is it possible to reorder the actual spaces?We use room names rather than types and would prefer if we could have specific rooms/spaces to be booked first so ordered first, but it does not seem possibe in the space set up to order them?

Booking Engine - Channel Manager

Hello I am trying to find the easiest way to calculate percentages of sales by platform since we just star working with Mews last month. I see the easiest way it would be to enhance it, would be connecting the booking engine with the channel manager (siteminder in my case), would you recommed it to me? Colors issues with {signInLink} Buttons and default Header Logo

Hello Community,I am reaching out regarding two issues with my booking confirmation email for a hotel, created through Beefree and integrated into Mews. Button Display: When I insert a button with the {signInLink} placeholder, the button appears in blue by default on Mews, despite the background colour I set in Beefree. I would like to know how to force the button’s colour in the HTML code so that it displays correctly. Header Logo: A default logo appears in the header on all emails in Mews. Tax-Exempt Reservations / Removal of VAT without duplicating your product library.

We have been using MEWS since March 2024 and are located in Ohio, USA. Due to our location, we work closely with government agencies, local higher education organizations, and several 501© tax-exempt organizations. We asked this during our onboarding almost 10 months ago and received the same responses listed in Can you generate invoice without VAT Summary - duplicate your product library (both Stay and Additional Services) that have the option of a taxed and non-taxed item/stay/product, or, create a product that you add to the bill as a negative amount equal to the taxed amounts. Has anyone found any other “work arounds” to this? Is @Mews Community Team looking into a more user-friendly alternative (I provided a suggestion in the topic linked above)? I assume we are not the only company that runs into this issue, so are there any other issues other people are running into, or other solutions?
