Payment method setup: Your onboarding manager or support team will help configure the payment types that best suit your business requirements. Tipping: Once the payment methods are configured, you can decide which ones should include tipping. Simply open the payment type and toggle the tipping flag for the appropriate method (e.g., cash or card). Keep in mind that some payment methods, such as vouchers

MEWS POS - Shift management

Dear Community,Please find here an overview of the Shift management feature within the POS app. What is it ?The Shift Management feature provides control over two essential features: management of shifts (e.g : lunch service, dinner service), management of cash flow. How to use it ?To enable the Shift Management feature in the app, go the burger menu > settings > shift management.For each outlet, the shift needs to be open at the beginning of service and closed at the end of each service (or end of day). By doing so, you will be able to print reports directly from the application after each service. If not closed manually, a shift will automatically close after being open for 24 hours.Before opening a shift, the default cash float can be modified if needed. In this section, you will be able to see the current shift state (open/closed), history of past shifts, and the cash drawer information. Shift reports can be printed by tapping on the printer icon on the top right or the "Pr

QR Codes - Mail Template

Hi There, I am trying to add QR placeholder to other default mail templates, it adds the blurb “ Scan this QR code on arrival” but the QR code does not show on the preview? Any help on this? This would be applicable to all default mail templates as an example. not the ones already preset e.g. before start etc.. My invoice from Mews POS did not end up in Mews PMS – How to fix it?Tutorial

Hello Community, When you are using Mews POS and during service you get this nasty pop up when you close an invoice saying ‘PMS Error’ you know that something went wrong.You can click ‘Show details’ to see what is wrong. And if you know how to fix it, to resolve this. If not, contact support to see why this invoice could not be transferred to the PMS.When you fixed the cause of the problem, you can go send the invoice to the PMS againIn the app:Go to your invoices and go to this specific one. Scroll down a bit and you will see the detailed error message again (in red). Followed by the buttons ‘CLEAR’ and ‘RETRY’. Just click ‘RETRY’ and it will send the invoice to the PMS.If it was successful, you will get a message and the buttons will disappear. You don’t need to do anything more.However, when it is not successful, a new error message will pop up:Sometimes fixing the cause will not help you in sending the invoice to the PMS. In that case you need to add this in the PMS manually. How t

We are not able to reach Mews support 🤷‍♂️

Hey,we are new with Mews and our Boarding Manager is in the holidays. We don’t have an Account Manager assigned already so we don’t have someone to contact right now … 😌When contacting the support via [email protected] we get:Thank you for contacting Mews support. We wanted to inform you that we have recently made updates to our Terms and Conditions and Service Level Agreement, which took effect on March 20th, 2024. Due to these changes, we’re unable to reply directly to this message.… For all requests, we kindly ask that you submit your request through the Mews Digital Assistant on app.mews.com.In the commander we only have the Digital Assistant Chat which isn’t bad but not helpful for some of our problems and here in the forum we can’t share most of these problems because they almost everytime include information that cant be shared publicly or need the be viewed with property access … 🙈Right now it seems like a loop were the mews support is saying go to the Chatbot and the Bot says

Mews PMS and POS - How to double check revenue streams?Tutorial

Dear Community,today, let's dive into an insightful exploration of accounting and sales reports, shedding light on revenue tracking and payment reconciliation across both the PMS and POS systems.When you access the accounting report, you'll notice it's divided into several sections: Revenue, Payments, Transactions, and Outlets. When checking POS revenue in the PMS, our focus lies on 'Revenue' and 'Outlets'.At the top, you'll also find 'Total Revenue' and 'Outlets'. You might panic when you see 'Outlets' showing 0. However, there's no need to worry; this is perfectly normal. Under 'Outlets', you'll find all revenue and payments from the POS sent to the PMS using any payment type, except for room charges. Since these bills are closed, they are balanced, meaning revenue minus payments equals 0. Room charges, on the other hand, are not closed yet and need to be included on the guest's bill, so they appear under revenue.If you're thinking, 'Oh no, my revenue is in two different places...',

Failed payments

Hello,We have recently onboarded and are experiencing some weird issues with mews payments. I have certain card transactions which “seem” to go through in the sense that they generate a payment that appears on the invoice, allows us to close it and also appears in the payment report in the Carte-Terminal section and in my accounting report. The transaction itself when processed did not result in any failure message to the user but its status in the payment report is empty and does not read “Débité” like my other successful transactions. The transaction does not appear in my payout report and has been confirmed by support to have basically failed. Does anybody else experience such issues? Is it me or is it absolutely not normal for the system to1.) Not warn the user at payment time that a transaction has failed so that he may correct it.2.)
